The food is always decent. Not my first choice for Thai food, but definitely one of the ones that had better food. They never seem to get the spice level right though. Food is great every time I eat here. It's now a regular dinner pick up spot for my family's house.

Second time coming. The first time I came with family and I ordered their Pad Thai which I wasn't too keen about as it tasted a bit off. Gave them a second chance today and was extremely disappointed. First off, the glass of water they offered me smelled weird - like eggs. The water was also not filtered and it had the tiniest lemon slice I had ever seen. Skimping much? I chose to drink my own bottled water instead. Ordered crab puffs for appetizer which were good. Probably the only good thing I ordered! The plum sauce that came with it had a very pleasant, unique flavor. The second appetizer I ordered was their salad rolls which were meh - I've had better ones and this one didn't even have any thai basil in it. It was rolled awkwardly as if the person who rolled it had no experience. Their peanut sauce was alright though. We ordered a pot of green tea and to my horror it was Lipton tea...What the heck. Who serves Lipton tea at an Asian restaurant? I usually have some decent tea whenever I go to Thai and other Asian restaurants, but never Lipton. It tasted really off. Definitely didn't taste like tea.... For the main we got Pad See Ew with tofu and Yellow Curry with tofu. The moment I got my noodle dish, I could smell this potent egg smell mostly associated with using old, low quality eggs. I used to hate eggs for this very reason until I realized how amazing fresh, organic, free-roam eggs from happy hens tasted like. These weren't that. The food also tasted off. Didn't taste anything like Pad See Ew. Tasted overly garlicky, didn't have a good balance between the savory and sweet (didn't taste even a little sweet), and the noodles weren't fried on one side. I've eaten many dishes featuring Pad See Ew and this didn't come close to the actual thing. Kept getting weird acid reflex and burps after eating it. Husband got Yellow Curry and wasn't impressed with his either. It tasted old - not fresh at all. Both dishes were brought to the table just 5 mins or so after ordering - insanely quick! Tells me it's not well-prepared or fresh. We had just started eating our appetizers when it was already there. My husband wasn't impressed with the curry and we both thought the potatoes used were not fresh, cooked potatoes but of the frozen, pre-cut kind. It had the ridges like fries and tasted almost sweet and starchy. Not real potatoes. The whole thing tasted old as if they had given us week-old food or something. Abysmal. Never tried such horrible Thai food before. Can't even call it Thai - it would be an insult to the authentic cuisine. read more

This is my favorite Thai food restaurant. It's my family's go-to when we want to pick up something to take home. We like to order ahead and walk inside to pay and collect. Not to be unkind, but the portions are small. The food, aside from the size of the servings, is excellent. Personally, with the prices being the same as dine-in, I feel the money they save on the wait-staff, dishwashing, etc. could be applied to a few more tablespoons of the dishes, which is okay for one person, but mostly not good for a group, even with 3 or 4 dishes it's just simply not enough. I purchased three dishes and what I put out looked pretty skimpy. Maybe we just got spoiled by some of their competitors who actually go out of their way to dazzle. Fresh and delicious! The appetizers were fresh and crispy. We had the Vegetarian crispy rolls, Pot Stickers, and the Crunchy Calamari. They were gone very quickly. The soup, fried rice, and pad kee mao were sumptous. As I am particular with my Pad Kee Mao, this was one of the better ones I've had. I mostly get frozen dinners from the supermarket (esp. Trader Joe's Vegetable Pad Thai and Palak Paneer). I am gradually shifting to getting food more at restaurants. For the amount of food you get the price is pretty similar to frozen meals. The advantage of frozen meals is modest sized portions for those who need to strictly control their diet like I do, and also they give you the calorie count. But with restaurant food, you can always save most of it as leftovers, and I feel like I can estimate calories fairly well. I actually weigh meals on a postal scale and for rich meals (e.g. pesto pasta) they tend to run 100 calories per 1.5 ounces and for less rich meals (e.g a rice dish) more like 100 calories per 2.5 ounces. (100 calories per 2.5 ounces is about what a lot of frozen meals like Trader Joe's Pad Thai and Palak Paneer run, as a frame of reference) I love thai food and most of the better restaurants in the area are thai restaurants. I got some food at Kindee Thai the other day. Fairly plain selections- I got vegetable fried rice and green curry with vegetables. Both were excellent. What was most notable: The vegetables in the vegetable fried rice were cooked just the right amount. And the vegetables in the green curry were good- the broccoli tasted fresh and cooked just right, and the eggplant tasted awesome even though I haven't been very fond of eggplant before. I save most in the fridge to eat as leftovers so it's important to me how it tastes as leftovers. I ladled the curry dish into a plastic food storage container, mixed in the jasmine rice that comes with it, and had it for the next couple days. I wasn't sure whether I'd like it but it was fantastic. Kindee Thai definitely goes on my list of thai restaurants I will go to again. It will take a lot more testing before I might reach the point of having a favorite restaurant. read more

Came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The BBQ Chicken is definitely a must get - the softest and juiciest chicken I've had. The pineapple fried rice was also on par. The only "miss" was the pad thai - it was good but just not my preferred taste as it was a bit soupy (lots of excess liquid) and had a very sweet tomato taste (almost like ketchup?). I was really looking forward to trying Kindee because of the killer Yelp reviews, but unfortunately my meal just didn't do it for me. I ordered family style and got an order of the pad thai, pra ram and pad basil, and not to be too rough, but none of the dishes did anything for me. The pad thai although ordered spicy was still very sweet. The pra ram here has a watery sauce instead of thick rich peanut dressing. The pad basil sauce was also watery and served with under cooked veggies. Honestly, there are so many amazing Thai alternatives out there, I wouldn't plan on revisiting. This being said, they have 4.5 stars... So maybe this place just isn't for me. read more

I used to come here often...... NEVER AGAIN!!!! We order our usual, the reasons we come here. Holy Basil Eggplant I asked for it to be less that mild, it was so hot my lips were on fire, the dish crispy duck curry. CRISPY doesn't even begin to describe it! So over cooked. I tried call last night to talk to them never could get them on the phone. Called this morning and girl told me I had to bring it in today. I asked if I could do it tomorrow when I come over that way for work, she said no has to be today. Fast service. Called ahead for a "to go" order @ noon and it was ready for pickup in less than 15 minutes. My 4 person workgroup ordered lunch and we were all very pleased with our food. Two of us had Massuman Curry with chicken and it was DELICIOUS! I also ordered a side of peanut sauce to pour over my rice and the sauce was just so-so average. Kindee Thai is a great local spot. We have never had a meal from here that is less than amazing! We dined in last week and as always I was blown away by the food but the service was also stellar and fast! Our favorites are the Crab Fried rice & the Avocado curry, both on the special menu. We also get the Pad See Ew just about every time and it's some of the best I've had at any Thai restaurant. Their flavors are always on point and their meat is always really tender, which I find to be rare at some Thai spots. Don't hesitate to give Kindee Thai a try! read more

I figured it was time to update my review. I've found my favorite dish, Simple Noodles with chicken, and find myself craving it once a month or so. One thing annoying about it though is the spice is never consistent and I've probably had it 10 times so I have sampled the dish enough to say that. I'm afraid to order anything more than mild because I've had it quite spicy when I asked for mild. Other times I ask for mild and it has the spice you would put in a child's dish. They also bring water to your table with a lemon in it. Maybe it is to cover the chlorine flavor, but I'd prefer filtered city water for the cost of their lemons. read more
