I cannot believe she used so many wonderful skin care products, cutomized for my skin type, which is oily. My skin literally glowed, was supple yet firm, and pores minimized. My first colorist was very nice. I liked the color. My only complaint was I had roots showing within a couple of days. I had joined the pro level subscription, which meant I could get my roots done as often as I wanted. This is where it went downhill. When I went to try to get my roots done, I was told there was nothing wrong with them, and it must be the lighting. For a company who says you can come in as many times as you'd like for root touch ups at the pro level, they certainly do not want you to. The tech did my roots. The next day, I dried my hair, and my roots were showing!! I used the powder they sold me, and waited two weeks. I went back for another root touch up. The same thing happened. I washed my hair, with appropriate products, and my roots appeared. Whatever they had been using since my first trip was not permanent. I now had well over a half an inch of roots. We come to today. The tech asked if I used demi-permanent or permanent dye. I said "Permanent dye." I was getting an all over dye color, hoping this would color all of my roots. I was shampooed. I dried my hair, and left. Imagine my shock and dismay when I looked in the mirror and saw my roots!! What products are they using over there? No, it's not the lighting. No, it's not an "ashy" color. I went home and my son noticed right away. My husband noticed when he came home. I am very disappointed. I have cancelled my membership.

They offer you coffee or tea from a local business in Libertyville which I thought was awesome and there's also cucumber-lemon water too. Patty came out to get me around 6:15-6:20 and patiently listened to my thoughts on what I wanted to do with my hair. She was super friendly and really helpful with offering advice every time I told her about my hair problems. Too dry, too frizzy, too damaged, everything! Believe me when I say my hair has been through a lot over the last decade and more. Patty washed my hair with an amazing minty shampoo and also a very light, non-creamy conditioner which I specifically asked for (yes!). Then she also showed me a leave-in conditioner and thermal protection spray that she thought would be best for my hair. What I most appreciated was that at no point did she ever try to sell me any of their products. She simply talked to me as if she was recommending something for a friend. The haircut turned out to be pretty good. My bangs were cut a little too short than what I would've liked though but luckily it grows out fast so it's not that big of a deal. She took off about 6+ inches of hair in the back so it ended up at the length that I wanted. Other random points: The Hair Fetish uses a lot of Paul Mitchell and Davines products. It's also a huge bonus that they do a free trim of your bangs if you come in the next 3 weeks after your haircut!

My sister scheduled my appointment months in advance, she lives in TN. Cristi used to frequent this salon, back when she lived in IL. I live in WI and honestly just thought my sister would end up doing my hair. She made appointments for us and requested the best person, to do my hair, for my special day. I rarely do anything with my hair. I didn't even have a picture to show, or anything special to suggest. I just told Maddie do whatever you think will look good. I really wanted to utilize my long hair somehow and put up the sides. I brought special rhinestone barrettes that she placed in the back of my hair. The salon was so wonderful they gifted me the best keychain with a ring attached to it, it's beautiful and will hold my car keys. I also loved how the music playing in the background. It was all wedding songs while I was getting my hair done. It brought such a smile to my face and was so thoughtful. My first dance at my wedding was even played, At Last by Etta James. That was pure coincidence since they didn't know that. We also had fake eyelashes put on too and that was absolutely something I will do again.
