I have one bit of advice for some of the staff, that I will pass on. Before I went to graduate school, I, too, worked in the service industry. My boss told me that the absolute hard and fast rule was to never discuss customers in front of other customers. I felt bad for the customer who was being discussed at great length, and in deep detail. I worry about how much I might be discussed.
