Hi, I was not going to leave a review, because I believe everybody deserves second chances, even thought they ruined my hair. I hate complaining about a service but it was not fair what they did to my hair. However, after talking to the owner HOLLY about one of her hairstylist did to my hair. Holly's attitude, unprofessional and horrible customer service, left me with no words. Even thought I was really polite since I started talking to her. Unfortunately, my hair was severely damaged during the process to the point where parts of it were burnt, I came in for a specific color (balayage) but the results were nothing like what I asked for. Not only was the color completely off, but my highlights were so poorly done that they've started to tear and break my hair while I brush it. This has caused me a lot of stress. While I appreciate that the salon gave me back half of what I paid, because I had to beg for it, not fair what they've done to my hair. I believe this level of damage should never happen in the first place at a professional salon, emotional damage isn't something money can fix anyways. I'm sharing this review not out of malice, but so others can make an informed decision especially if you're considering chemical treatments. I was a bit nervous because I was going from red to blonde, but she did it flawlessly and seamlessly. I went to Salt for a Brazilian because I'm having a colonoscopy this week and needed to not look like a wookie. Sahra did an excellent job and made the whole experience so great. If you've had one of these, you know it's not the most.... Pleasant... experience, but there was maybe one time that made me gasp. I've gone in multiple times. Pedicure, eyebrow waxing, hair cut and color. I've never had a bad experience and liked all the stylists. It's a cute, quaint, and quiet shop. Also has great gifts for yourself or a girlfriend in the front store. I really liked the pedicure; I got the signature one with everything included and I like the fact they don't have massage chairs, I'm not a fan of them. What a terrible experience! Went in for a consultation for highlights and left 3+ hours later brunette. The stylist had an open schedule and offered to do the service that day, great! Not so much.... We discussed what I was looking for: non-chunky highlights (and I was very specific on the non-chunky part) to break up the darkness and give me some dimension. I even showed her reference photos of me from when I previously had my hair highlighted and pointed out what I loved about it and wanted. My hair is thinner so the darker I am, the worse it looks and that's exactly what I want to avoid so highlights have always helped with that issue. Anyway, she decided it was best to put in some low lights to break up the blonde on my ends even though I was hesitant about putting more dark into my hair. Nonetheless, I said okay because after all, she is the professional. I processed, she washed, and when I sat back in the chair I was in utter disbelief. I had 4 very large and in charge blonde highlights surrounded by dark bands of brown. Picture Kelly Clarkson circa 2007. It wasn't hard to figure out I wasn't happy by the look on my face and the tears in my eyes; especially after I specifically said that's what I did not want. She asked if she could blow dry it first so we could see if I liked it better. I didn't. She then offered to tone it and blow dry it again to see if I still didn't like it. Unfortunately, it just got worse. After toning it I was completely brunette with what looks like a hint of green. I reached out to the owner and she offered a Malibu treatment and clarifying shampoo kit for me to do at home myself. She offered a bandaid to stick over the problem rather than a solution, told me "[she] did the best she could with the information you provided" and dismissed me. If what I got was the "best she could do" and the owner wasn't willing to fix the mistake her employee made then I question the competence and integrity of this salon. Took my sons here for their first pedicures. I booked them a kids pedi for 30 mins I was first very confused to the chair set up. It looked like two regular chairs. And then pulled like water buckets out. Like no bowls no thing. I was like what the.... I didn't see them open up new fresh cleaned tools for my children's feet. (I hope they were at least clean) they kept asking if my kids wanted to skip parts of my pedicure. I kept saying no they want the whole thing. That's when they told me they don't scrub kids feet's. I was like oh.... After I said they want everything they rushed the whole thing. And they asked if they wanted polish I said yes clear. They gave them no polish at all. They rushed my youngest to put his socks and shoes back on and didn't have like those flip flop things or a drying center (for the no polish they got) when I booked the appt it said a 30 mins thing. I kid you not it was about 10-12 mins from start to finish. I do not care if they were kids. If I am paying for 30 mins service I kind of want the whole 30 mins and for the employee to actually care. I then realized why it was rushed the one had another client and she had to get back to them. I will never go back there again! I have gone to crystal nails before but was going there for another appt for my daughter which didn't turn out well either. She had her lashes lifted and many of lashes were missed. read more

I went here once and Ariana was fantastic. I decided to book another appointment with her. Unfortunately I had to cancel my appointment due to a recent Covid positive test which was confirmed the night before my appointment. When I called to explain why I am cancelling so not to risk their staff or other clients they informed me that they will be charging my card on file. First of all I paid by card but I never authorized them to keep my card on file, so I will be contacting my bank and possibly a lawyer for the fact they are keeping customers cards on file without notifying the customer that will be doing so. Second Sarah who answered the phone and told me this was rude and in a not so subtle way said I should have just come in to get the service since I am going to be charge 75% of what the haircut would be anyways. This place doesn't care about the health and safety of their employees o and they sure don't care about the health and safety of their customers. They only care about taking their money regardless of who you are or the fact that you are doing the responsible thing by cancelling and not coming in when you or a member of your family is sick with Covid. There are so many places to get a haircut, so I will be finding another place to get mine done. If you value your health or a loved one I wouldn't go in here because you never know what the other person or employee has. If they are like this to customers imagine what they make Their employees work with just so they can get someone's money! This place is disgusting and doesn't deserve anyone's business! The health department should go in there and test all surfaces as I can only imagine what they might find. Yelp makes you put a rating but mine is zero stars but yelp won't allow that. **Update: Holly responded to my email stating how they kept my bank card information without notice. Her exact words was it is stated and I should have read the fine print. They are a salon and I was paying for a haircut! I was buying a new house or car. This statement only proves that this place is so bad that they will do whatever they can to get $20 because they obviously are not getting repeat business. To all customers of this place they have most likely kept the information of every card you have ever used there! To anyone still willing to give this place a chance then pay with cash only! Each time I called to set up just a blowdry I'll wash my own hair to make it easy they are booked 3 months out or they tell me will call you back right away to see if someone can see you they never called me back! I've tried multiple times to see if I'm able to come in and it's always a no!! How funny my friend called and said her name was April she was able to book an appointment the same day ...Im Carmen and nope nothing has been available for a Latina woman how weird?? I have to say...I really wanted to like this place. The first time I came here it was a nice stylist that did my hair. I made a second appointment, showed up only to find out the stylist was no longer employed there. No one called to tell me. The next time it was the owner who cut my hair. I had to wait 15 minutes. Right as I was about to leave she was ready to take me. She did an OK job but used WAY too much heat on my hair. I had to cancel my second appointment due to unforseen circumstances. I was told that Holly makes her own appointments and would call me back. That never happened, she never called. I called to make an appointment and they switch me to a different "stylist". I explained that my hair is delicate. She started to cut my hair before she washed it. I have NEVER had anyone do that EVER!! This is not Supercuts!!!! She then washed my hair and preceeded to towel dry my hair by rubbing it with a towel...which I told her to stop. When she dried my hair the blow dryer must have been on high heat. She actually burned my hair!!!!! And to make matter worse my hair was all uneven. It looks terrible!!! Never again. Salt....you are out of chances. read more
