Im giving three stars because the atmosphere is nice and quiet but the service is tricky if you go to the wrong person. The first picture is of my set done by the owner (the black ones) and she doesnt seem to care if you dont like something or want to change something or say ouch; she just does what she does and leaves you with... that. But her daughter Jamie!?? SHE DOES AMAZING WORK SHE HOOKED ME UP WITH THE PURPLE STILETTO SET AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL SHE WAS SO CAREFUL AND SHE EVEN FIXED MY PEDICURE PAINT JOB THAT HER MOM DID AND MADE IT BETTER!! TL;DR: Its nice, but ask for Jamie or Jenny. If the owner ask you to sit, dont. (She's an very pretty older woman and she's v sweet but her work isnt) but Jamie is amazing with nails and art and I hear Jenny is really good at pedicures especially if you have diabetes or sensitive feet! Dont give up on the talent there. I also paid $140 for a basic gel pedicure and a full set with my own gems and tips! read more

Went in yesterday afternoon for a fill. Called before to make sure they had time they asked to come in now. Went in and decided to try the cat eye design. The color appeared to be a dark blue on the nail example they had but as you can see in the photos my nails came out almost completely purple. The tech let me know it would get darker after the first coat. After getting my nails done there was a lot of polish on the side of my fingers and she used a nail file to get this off resulting in small cuts around many of my nails. The total for my file came to $45 before tip which seemed high to what I've paid here in the past. I would rather go elsewhere and get a better service with clear price transparency. It's sad I used to only go to this nail salon due to the great prices and quality. read more

THEY ARE LIARS!!! STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!! I have been coming here for awhile, I also have a few friends that come here. Today I brought my cousin here so we could both get fills. My cousin did not get anything special done no chrome, designs, etc all she got was a simply color and a couple nails fixed. To our surprise they charged her $50 (to be clear a fill is supposed to be $35) I asked why hers cost so much and they said because she has a couple broken nails. I continued to ask how much a whole new set costs and the lady told me $45 so I then asked why it costs more to fix a couple nails than it does to get a new whole new set at this point another lady comes up and says "no a full set is $60" so she agreed to pay and we went on our way. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that they were lying about a full set being $60 so I tried calling a little later (not letting them know that I was just in there) to ask how much a full set is and what do you know she told me that it is $45. We went back in to ask why we were lied to and why she was charged more for a fill than a whole new set. They tried blaming it on miscommunication and refused to give her any sort of refund. Needless to say I don't feel comfortable ever coming back to this place knowing that they are completely fine with blatantly lying to their customers. read more

I want to start by saying as soon as i walked in i was greeted and seated fairly quickly after picking my color. Also, the woman that did my nails was kind! It was my first time here this past weekend. I came in because my regular salon was busy and i needed a fill and i was missing two nails. This was before i went out to celebrate a friends birthday so i wanted to look and feel good They have a great color selection if you still do regular polish like i prefer, but they also had a whole wall of other options for people who prefer gel, dip powders, etc. The quality of the set i got was not up to my normal standards. I always get a coffin set, medium-long length, and regular polish. Very simple. First, I had two nails fixed. After applying the acrylic powder, the first one started heating up fairly quickly. I mean, it was very warm to the touch. This has never happened before! I was afraid i was having a bad reaction so i spoke up and she tried to remedy it by filing it down. I could tell she was concerned and genuinely wanted to help as she continued to check in about that nail. The other new nail did not have the same reaction so i have no idea what happened. Though, that nail was put on crooked and curves left. I attached a photo I also attached photos to show the thickness of the nails. All of them were very inconsistent. Also, the new nails were more curved while my original set was flatter so my nails had two different shapes. The paint was put on thick and didnt reach all around my nails so I spoke up about two that i noticed, and she tried to fill them in with paint. There were more edges and spots i could see, but i didn't want to keep asking her to fix things. I started to feel bad. Also, the day after and today (2 days later), I'm starting to see dents in the nail. The paint must have been very thick for me to be able to do that 2 days after i got them done. Im always very careful the first day because i know the pain is soft From far away, the nails are decent. The service was not bad at all. Even though i wasn't completely satisfied, she was helpful and i still tipped a few dollars. I probably would not go back. Which is crazy to me when I've been in a few times in the past, get a full set and basic designs and paid around $45. Nothing about my nails was worth $60. Nice staff but if you make me bleed, I'm done. I don't get my nails done very often, so it should be a treat. This was the opposite. Went in to get gel polish taken off, figured I should just get a manicure since gel does a number on your nails, but regretting the whole thing. She didn't even put oil on my cuticles and had me wash off the lotion she put on my hands before painting my nails. So now my hands are all dry (it's winter!) and my finger hurts where she cut me. The white (regular) polish doesn't really look good (another regret, this isn't the color I picked out), but for $20, I'm just hoping my finger doesn't get infected. read more

I was hesitant to review this Wonderful nail salon because I don't want to share my hidden gem with the world. but I have to give some kudos. I've been going to Kim's for the past several months and I have to say I am pretty impressed. I've been to many nail salons in WA and while Kim's is less busy, less fancy, and sort of outdated, the ladies and staff at Kim's knows how to provide an excellent product and service. I'd rather have good quality vs just a fancy expensive nail shop. I always get the acrylic gel almond shape and my nail artist hooks me up. She knows exactly the shape that will best fit my nails and she does an awesome job each time. Every time I go, I don't have to wait at all and I immediately see the same gal and she just knows what I want. We discuss colors and whether or not it would look good on my complexion and we bond and laugh while she does my nails. It's $40 for acrylic gel. They do pedis of course and all the other normal maintenance services such as waxing and etc. Great staff, ample parking and awesome nails. What more can a girl ask for? read more

She cute one of my fingers pretty good, I was left with polish all over my hands and around my nails. The color also did not come out quite like the tester. I used to go here quite often, but found that the wait times were long even if I had an appointment or called. My daughter went there a few weeks ago and was pleased with how her nails turned out. Based on this we both went last week to get a full set of acrylics and were extremely disappointed. We both had nails that were crooked and misshapen. Most of my nails were lumpy and looked terrible. I showed them that they were crooked and lumpy. The response was a few swipes of a file, which didn't resolve the issue at all. To make matters worse? Came in for a change on dip and tip. Never go here!! They drilled instead of taking off properly with acetone. Took a plastic tip and prying my tips off causing extreme pain. I asked for round shape, they gave me coffin nail shape. She cut my nails when I explained I was growing natural nail out. She took layers of my nail bed off. She didn't put top clear coat on my nails after color was applied. I'm now at home fixing my nails. Never spend your money. On wall price says $35 and she charged $45. And does great nails I've done a full set long coffin with her and a fill with her both experiences were wonderful, however the last time I went another young girl did my nails it was my first time doing almond shape and it seemed like it was her first time as well. I tried asking her some recommendations but she seemed very uninterested which is not a big deal. She took a very long time on my nails which were very simple and shouldn't of taken the amount of time she did. When they were done they were very thin at the tips but bumpy at my nail beds. Most of my manicures/pedicures here have lasted less than a few days before chipping which is indicative of the business putting paint thinner in their polishes (something I LOATHE). During my wait (only still here because I managed to get my mom in for her mani/pedi), a few customers, including a regular, ended up leaving during the wait. Don't come here unless you want horrible service and for it to take hours to get your nails done. I made an appointment days in advance for a mani/pedi and it took 30 minutes just to get seated in the pedi chair and then another 20 before anyone came to help. By then, the water was cold. People who walked in or had appointment times starting AN HOUR after mine were helped and out the door before my mani was even started! 5 different people worked on me--literally every worker there--and it took 2.5 hours, making me late to my plans for the day. I made an appointment for the day on purpose to be done in time for my event and even explained I was low on time by the time I got my mani, but I was ignored so that another customer who was complaining (and came an hour AFTER me) could be helped instead. If you are busy at the salon, either don't take walk ins or space out the appointments. I can honestly say the ONLY good thing about this salon is the color selection. If you go here, hope you have allllllll day to sit there. read more
