This service was a joke. I took my mom here to treat her for Mother's Day and the entire time the two individuals doing our pedicures were rushing, impersonal, and rude. My mom was burned by the electric handheld callus remover. And, after this happened, the man that was doing her pedicure kept asking me if i saw anything and acting like she was being ridiculous but at the angle i was sitting in a could not however, after the pedicure i could. His tone, attitude and the way he just simply spoke to my mom was unacceptable. Additionally, the pedicure i asked for was $55 and said regular polish. The individual doing my nails was snarky and just did gel without even asking and at the end of it my pedicure came to $80. I paid $80 for a rushed and rude pedicure and my mom got burned and hers was $70. Oh, and toes weren't even done to satisfaction nor was i asked If i liked them, i was just dismissed and rushed to try to get my shoes on so i could pay while i was trying to wait for my mom to be finished. My girlfriend called and asked how much it would cost to have a gel manicure done. The person on the phone said 35 dollars. When she got there, they made a comment about her skin tone, basically calling her pale. Then when they were finished and rung her up, the total was 55 dollars which is not what they said on the phone. It's been 3 days and 2 of her nails are already chipped/broken. My friend and I went to have our nails done together. We needed a place that stayed open later (7 pm) on a Saturday. The staff was very friendly and also patient while my friend tried to decide what she wanted. They had many options to choose from. Their prices are comparable to other places, too. I had them do 5 colors for a manicure and I realize it's 5 colors but not that big of a deal. The lady was not happy and made a comment about it and told me if I wanted that it would be $5 extra. It is what it is. But she had an attitude about it the whole time and my nails don't look great. They are thick, bumpy and look like they'll peel off in a few days. There is also polish on my skin. Without tip it was $45, this was my first visit but I would try somewhere else next time, there is a ton of options here in St Cloud. read more

i went in for a pedicure with a few other people. upon sitting in the salon chair, my technician started. my pedicure started the same time as everyone else's, but I finished much faster than everyone's. my technician also was a bit "rammy." she tried to close the arm chair down on my head after I told her that I could close it myself since I needed something from my purse on the floor. she also would hit my feet when she wanted me to switch which foot she was working on. the gel paint is less than subpar. the cuticles are flooded with paint as well as paint on my skin and rough edges on the tips of my nails. after my pedicure was finished, she just got up and left without me knowing if she was actually done or not. i personally will not be returning based on my experience. read more

I have been going to Kim's for some time now and bringing my girls. My first experience after the reopening of COVID was a very poor one. The price increases were not made know and the service with my technician was less than pleasant. Given, my heals needed extra work and that's why I agreed to the pedicure upcharge. Also, the worse part was the manicure that left my fingers swollen and itchy the next day. It required a course of antibiotics to recover. My mani/pedi and my girls came to 170.00. If I could give 0 stars I would. My sister and I both got acrylic sets. For mine I showed her a picture and asked for a clear natural nail. She proceeded to cut 2 of my fingers, then did a awful job at the acrylic part. Then she gave me a pink nail which I didn't ask for. My sister asked for an Ombré glitter and it's a straight line. I'm sorry to say Kim's nails has gone down hill in the past 6 mths. Kim is very talented but she lets anyone work for her and she makes good customers wait who have appts while she takes walk in appts. My daughter and I have gone there for over 2 years. Sadly recently we wait even when we have an appt and every time my daughter goes to get a fill they take ALL her nails off to get more $ for a full set. On Sat 4/19/19 her nails clearly didn't need to be taken off (only on 2 weeks) and when Kim once again had another nail tech start my daughters fill Kim told her to take off all her nails(without even looking at them)she started pulling her nails off and split my daughters middle nail very bad half way down to the nail bed. It's so damaged I had to take her to the doctor and get antibiotics and she has to soak it several times a day and wrap it with antibiotic cream and keep it dry. My daughter was in tears and might I add bleeding and they were still trying to pull nails off when I made them stop. Also they never cleaned anything from either nail station that my daughter was bleeding at including Kim's station. They just took the next girl and ignored my daughter as she left crying. Terrible, I got Kim she was rude. I know I went when it was almost closing but they still rushed, terrible paint job and she pretty much buffed my fingers she was going so fast. When I went to take my nails off using acetone it took me an hour to take them off instead of the normal time which is 10-15 per hand. Pretty sure they use a product called mma which isn't even legal and could ruin your nails I really don't recommend going here it's over priced and they have horrible service read more

I did enjoy going to Kim's nails At least a dozen times over the year. Even though whenever you asked for something they tell you "the colors not you", "it looks better this way"and then they do it their own way. I always overlooked it because The work was good. I did however bring my best friend for a girls day, she had never had a manicure. She told her specifically what she wanted and Kim the owner proceeded to do what she wanted to do. I interjected and said no she doesn't like dark blue on the tips of her fingers she wants a light blue she's a quiet person and I know she will not like that. Kim changed back to what was asked but I was up charged for speaking up. She received a manicure that entailed Having her fingernails cut off to even them up her cuticles taking off and a gel polish put on no massage, no lotion, no soak and it cost $35. My gel fill with gel polish cost $35.(mine took 40 more minutes). I will never go back. If you would like to go get your nails done somewhere where they do what they want and up charge you if you say anything...even if it's politely then by all means go to Kim's nails enjoy yourself they do do great work. FYI I would leave a $10 tip for $35 service so it's not like I was a cheap ass. Excuse my French they got paid handsomely to do what I asked. read more

This was the first manicure that I'd ever be receiving- my friend surprised me and initially we were going to go to another nail salon; but found out that it was a little after 5 on a Saturday and they were closed. We typed into GPS a close location and were directed. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. There was only one person working and I'm unsure if it's because of the fact that they were closed; but immediately she was happy to assist my friend and I and told me (while working on another client) she had someone on their way to help my friend and I. We picked out our color, then were sat down and advised to cut our own nails. We did so and she finished up on the other girl that she was working on when we came in. She started with my friend; who had to explain several times what she wanted. Within about 20 minutes, she sat in the station I was at and began working on my nails. It went like this for about 30 minutes going back and forth between the two of us; trying to accomplish two gel manicures at once. She made both my friend and I bleed several times when she was filing the surface (from going to close to the cuticle) and didn't follow sanitation procedure afterwards. Blood transmits disease and when you're using the same tools on me that you're using on my friend, and making us both bleed- that's a huge risk for infection. 3 more clients, along with a 4th who she turned away came into the shop- and mind you there was still only one person working. She made several calls to the employee that at this point was an hour late; and finally when he came in - he immediately stepped over to the 2 that wanted a pedicure and left me waiting at the station for another 20 minutes. When he FINALLY came to paint my nails, he messed up twice on my ring fingers which were both lighter than the surrounding polish and went over the color with the darker polish, leaving streaks. In addition to all of this; it took about 2 hours for my friend and I to get gel manicures and when the total racked up it was $15 more than the price that was posted and that we had discussed. I'm pregnant and the levels of sanitation, as well as the rude demeanor of the employee's left me with a bad taste in my mouth and also very uncomfortable by the comments she was making in regards to my pregnancy. I'm going through adoption- and she told me several times that I should "keep the baby," or "give the baby to my parents."
