My nails look HORRIBLE!!! Some are painted completely but some are missing polish in multiple areas. My right thumb is BULKY!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!! The service was great and the price was really affordable. I got both a manicure and pedicure, and I was very impressed with the attention to detail. My nails came out looking clean, neat, and beautifully shaped. The polish was applied evenly with no streaks, and the pedicure was super relaxing. Very unprofessional staff...you always wonder if employees are talking about you when they are speaking to the employee at the next station over...but when they are blatantly talking about you, laughing while doing so, and not even attempting to be discreet about it-is completely unacceptable behavior. I will never go back, and had I noticed the behavior earlier, would have walked out. Customers are paying for a service, and I did leave a tip because I wasn't informed about the behavior before leaving. We are not paying to be talked about, judged, mocked or laughed at. This shop files down natural nails with nail machine to take off gel polish. When I went back the girl Cindy said my nails were thin. I never had thin natural nails they have always been thick...I'm very blessed! When I told her that she and the use of machine were the reason my nails were thin she became very defensive and said she is not responsible... like hell! I'm not sure if they're using old polish or they're thinning out the polish but something's going on because I got a "gel mani pedi" and my nails were chipping within 2 days!!!! Mark got a girl pregnant -- had twins -- and Mark and she are the new owners. Kim's Nails is not the same anymone and exceptional service left with the old owners. I have to up this review to a 3 based on the fact that I have been back twice and both times they did a better job. They get busy during lunchtime so plan accordingly. I think they charge a lot for a design ($10?!) but other than that,, friendly service and my shellac experience has since improved. I had to run to Kaiser for an appointment and figured i'd try out a new nail place. I've been on the hunt for a "regular nail place" since moving to Northern California. The prices at this salon are pretty standard for what i'm accustomed with. The place seemed clean and the staff more or less friendly. I waited, chose my color, and was on my way to getting my manicure. Unfortunately, my nails were not painted well at all. The top coat was not very good - it was VERY thick in fact - and by the time I got home it had started bubbling. Not only that but I noticed that the sides on my nails weren't even painted. My job has me on the computer all day, so to chip the polish within a week is not uncommon, but the next day is unheard of... I didn't feel like the people were particularly attentive to their duties - obviously considering the lack of polish on the side of my nail. I personally wouldn't go back. Maybe it was an off day - but just not what i'm looking for in a nail place. read more

Very sweet staff here. Everyone is attentive to your needs as long as you request what you want clearly. The prices are less expensive than any other nail salon that I've been to - so, that was a nice surprise. They accept cash only and card on services less than $15, I believe. You pay to park in the small parking lot, but we rarely see the meter maid in this area. The nail salon put up a metal screen door to prevent loiterers or solicitors from entering. The only downside about this place is the location and clientele - obnoxious, noisy, and disrespectful. However, the owners try to control the environment as best as they can. read more

The most unprofessional nail shop I have ever been to.. I got there when they first opened and waited 2 hours for servic. When I finally got serviced the nail Tec placed nail tips on my fingers filed them but when I showed him the design I wanted he told me I wouldn't be able to get that designed because I'm paying with a card and they do not allow anyone to pay more than $40 on a debit card. i informed him that I just lost my grandmother and did not have time to go get cash. I then asked if I could cash app, venmo, or Zelle the remaining balance he told me that was not an option and that I had to go to Walgreens while he was in the middle of doing my nails to get cash. So I did and when I came back I had to wait an additional hour to get serviced once again. I waited 2 hours for nails that broke in a week! This place does really great nails. I was satisfied with the shape, size, length and smoothness however the polish is what disappointed me. The first time I thought maybe it was just the person bit after the third time I realized it's a shop thing. I was incredibly angry at the job that was given to me. This was my second visit and it will be my last. For one, i was the only customer there this morning when a man started doing my nails. I showed him the shape I wanted and was specific about it. COFFIN NAILS. he cut my cuticles, left glue on me, and didn't even put on a clear coat at the end, just told me to wash my hands last, the paint job is on my skin and each finger is a different shape. and would you believe he charged me 31$?
