I recently moved into town so I decided to try this nail salon. My advice is to STAY AWAY! I first walked in and the manager/owner Kim rudely asked me if I already picked a color when I was looking at the color selection for only a minute. I was hoping things would improve from there but I was sadly mistaken. The gel manicure was rushed and she cut my nails so short (with a CUTICLE cutter) that two of my nails were bleeding. Also she didn't even clean up around my nails and told me that would be an extra charge. What nail salon charges extra for doing basic nail cleaning? Rude, horrible service. read more

Kim is so professional and knowledgeable. I came in as a walk-In Sunday around 3pm for a emergency Mani-Pedi. She was about to leave but saw me there and took care me even though the salon was about to close. (Most places won't even take a reservation 1 hour prior closing) Her massages are INCREDIBLE, she took her time, engaged in conversation and give me the best tips for my legs circulation. My manicure was done manually and needless to say: looks flawless, my pedicure was airbrushed and she cleaned me up and made sure I was happy with the result. The lady who did my nails was very sweet and nice. But I didn't get what I paid for. I asked for a regular manicure and I repeated myself 3 times to her and she continued to do gel. It was horrible, I didn't complain but I should have. The gel didn't even start at the bottom of my nail so I would have had to get a manicure the following week (mind you I went to another salon right after and got my nails done it was so horrible to look at) I asked for French with a thin line.... lady mad the line thick as hell I paid $30 for garbage honestly. She didn't cut my cuticles or clean my nail, with a regular manicure you get your nails cleaned why if I'm paying more I don't? Horrible experience, I paid I tipped but never going again. HOW COME YOU CHARGED ME $30 FOR POLISH AND NO CLEANING OF MY NAIL??? Isn't that the point of a manicure refund me my money! read more

Terrible service! Took my daughter here to get her nails done for her Prom. Kim absolutely did the crappiest job I've seen in a long time. The polish did not cover the full nail, very streaky. When she was "done" my daughter showed me her nails and I brought it to Kim's attention. She got annoyed that I complained about her work and that I was making her fix them! Worst experience I have EVER had in 15 years of getting my nails done. They used a TOOTHPICK and globs of "smoothing gel" (?) to do my gel nails (no brush) and they cut my toenails with cuticle clippers, but didn't trim my cuticles! I left the salon crying from pain and drove right to another place to have them redo them from scratch. $140 later and I'm finally back home. Service was okay. I felt very rushed while picking out my nail color, and Kim couldn't do a simple design. She didn't tell me she couldn't do it until she already applied polish, so I ended up not getting what I wanted. I went to Kim's nails when it was at the old location near the old Jack Frost and had an okay experience. I had a manicure and got an airbrush design on my ring fingers. The nail tech made my cuticle bleed, but profusely apologized and spent five minutes working on it to stop it from bleeding. It wasn't bleeding heavily, but similarly to a papercut. The manicure wasn't fantastic and began chipping three days later. The problem I have with their airbrushing technique is that, unlike other salons that do handpainted designs, it comes off easily, as well. So when the salon moved to its new location, I decided to give it another go around. Mainly, I wanted to see how their work was in anticipation of wanting to get silk wraps in the near future. This time, I made an appointment with Kim herself and tried a French Manicure. Boy, was this an experience to remember. First of all, Kim is EXTREMELY pushy. I wanted a color similar to Essie's Marshmallow as a base color for my French and she spent half the manicure lecturing me that a pinkier color is more natural. However, I've been getting manicures for nearly eight years now and have come to realize which preferences I have. The pink base is not a look I like, but instead of doing things my way, I gave in just to get her to stop. Of course, in the end, I was not happy with my decision. Additionally, the airbrush was used to make the white tips ON TOP of the base color, followed by top coat. When I asked if she could put on an additional coat of color, she told me it wouldn't look good and the white tip would last. The French started to chip the next day. I'd much rather take my business elsewhere. read more

She rushed through the entire manicure, I had to constantly ask her to refine snags and even my nails. She did the mani so quick and rough, it was like she was doing it with a gun to her head! I have been going to Kim's Nails for 18 years.. it has been nothing short of a fabulous experience. From the moment I walk in until I leave I feel like I am pampered and part of an extended family. My manicures And pedicures are always beautiful. Friends and strangers always comment on how fabulous my nails are. Everyone is friendly, and there is a warm feeling within those walls. The salon, is beautiful and always clean. Top Notch Salon, highly recommend.. If someone is unhappy it is because they are not happy folks to begin with. read more

WORST NAIL SALON EVER. STAY FAR AWAY!!! I am honestly baffled that they are able to stay in business!! Where do I begin.. I went in for the first time this morning for a gel manicure.. I asked for a specific color that I love, and owner Kim said "we don't have OPI." Ok, kinda weird but no biggie.. I asked what brands they do carry, and she repeated with a huge attitude "we don't have OPI. But we have thousands of colors to pick from". Lol thousands fine.. I chose a color that was similar and sat down w her (owner Kim). She said "I like your ring", I thanked her, and then she said "how much jewelry you have?" what??? Before I could even respond to that strange and inappropriate question, she complimented my eyes. Ok, by now I'm already thinking that I am never coming back to this place. So several of my nails had broken and were very short and they were totally uneven. I asked if she can just file to even them all out. She picks up the motorized thing and starts filing down my actual nailbed (natural, I don't have acrylic or anything) and cuticles. I thought this was weird, have never had anyone do this before at any other salon, but I had seen some good reviews so thought maybe she just has a different technique, idk. After she buffed, she noticed me touching my nail and she snipped at me "don't touch them- I already cleaned." Huh?? I said ok. She finishes that and picks up the base coat to start polishing- I stopped her and said aren't you going to file my nails to even them out?? She said "I'll do it after" .. I said no, please file before you polish, so she huffed and then rudely snipped "they're too short to file, there's nothing here to file". I wish I had a picture for proof. They were short, but not THAT short where there was nothing to file! And several of them were longer. So I pointed out the longer ones and she said fine, did a super quick file straight across, and said "happy now?" When I looked at my nails, one of them was literally jagged and wavy .. I said no, look, it's not even. So she handed me the file and said you do it! I said no, I'm gonna go.. and she yelled "Good! Good luck with your nails!" I left without a manicure and in complete shock. This was the most bizarre experience of my life and I would warn everyone to avoid this nasty weirdo (who literally doesn't even know how to file a nail) at all costs!!!!! Plus, the place was super dirty (didnt notice until I sat at her table or I would've left immediately).. like, disgustingly dirty.. and she was not cleaning or sanitizing anything before or after using it. I went to a different place straight from there and they looked at my nails and said "who did this???" I cannot imagine that any good review for Kim is not fake. read more

Awful. Manager did a French gel manicure and it was so bad I politely said it does not look right. She was so nasty, and said she would not do my nails a different color. So, I had to leave without a manicure. Also, she literally took 15 minutes to do my nails. It looked like my nails were a month in and needed a fill. Don't go here! read more

I've been going to Kim's Nails for over 10 years. Today I walk-in & ask if Jimmy can quickly do a gel polish change and they said yes. Kim started to file my nails & I asked if Jimmy could do the color(bc I usually go to him). She told me no & to come back tomorrow for Jimmy, I said no it's ok & she very rudely insisted I left and came back because she didn't feel comfortable doing my nails. I had a manicure there on a Friday. It was the worst manicure I can ever remember. I had the owner and she was rather unfriendly. She didn't ask any of my preferences such as nail filing and she filed my nails the exact opposite of how I prefer them. I asked her to refile them and in the process she shredded my nice, healthy, strong nails. The massage was aggressively painful since she only used a tiny bit of lotion and a lot of abbrasive rubbing. Whatever she did killed the moisture in my skin. A manicure shouldn't make your hands worse! Also 3 days later and the polish is peeling on every nail. read more

My gel manicure came out terribly. The color was uneven, the edges are bumpy and run onto my cuticles, and there's crud under each of my nails. The skin under my nails is stuck to the nail tip. Kim was unapologetic and rude. She even cut my cuticles in three places without apologizing. Now I have to go somewhere else tomorrow to have this monstrosity done over. What a waste. I don't know how they remain open. Who goes back there more than once? read more
