The view from our room at the Hotel Kimpton Marlowe.
    Lisa D.

As soon as we drove up, there was a beautiful man who helped us with our next steps. He let us unload our luggage, and he told us where hotel parking was. I brought the luggage in while my husband parked the car. The front desk was incredibly helpful, happy, and welcoming. We were visiting Cambridge to see my son's new job as a PhD post-doc at some university named Harvard? (LOL) We got a room with an amazing view of the river, and the room and view made up for all the traffic to get from Logan Int'l to Cambridge. (How do you people survive this daily?!) The beds were perfect, the room was large enough for all of our luggage and technology. The shower had amazing water pressure. The room was exceptionally clean and modern. We ate breakfast in our room -- the restaurant in the hotel does not do room service, so my husband had to grab it and bring it up... but dinner, we went down to the restaurant and it was so much better than the breakfast. The service, the food, the drinks - all wonderfully prepared. I will likely stay at this hotel every time we come to visit my son. BONUS - it is connected to Cambridgeside, a mall that has so many offerings as well, including a food court that puts other malls to shame.

    Nutcracker elegance at MIRACLE

There's something magical about a holiday popup at Christmas, especially when it's called MIRACLE. We ventured into this gasp-worthy gem in Cambridge MA and still can't stop talking about the good time we had. The cocktails come in adorable mugs. I chose the SantaRex, because: CUTENESS! The whole place is decorated. Tinsel, characters, full-sized nutcrackers, ornaments. Just WOW! My Christmas wish? I wish this MIRACLE could stay open all year!

Kimpton Hotel Marlowe in Boston is a nice and beautiful hotel that looks rustic and elegant. When you enter the property there is a roundabout in front of the hotel to drop off or pick up guests. The free all day bottled water at the lobby is a big plus. There's a bicycle rental at the front, and a small book shelf where you can borrow books. The staff are courteous and accomodating, ready to help. Rooms are clean and spacious. Lobby and hallways are well decorated. I enjoyed my stay and hospitality from this hotel. Check it out!

    Miracle bar inside

My favorite Kimpton in the Boston area (and now only Kimpton in the area) is back! After some important conversations with the GM, I cautiously booked a weekend stay here after less than stellar stays over the last two years. Communication is key and this team is listening. The dialogue prior to my stay was important and gave me faith this property cared about this loyal customer. Upon check in, I was greeted with kindness. Our beautiful room was on the top floor and had a jet tub (which I love). We went back down to wine hour which is from 5-6 and then waited in line for The Miracle Bar (a pop up in the lobby bar of the hotel). Took a little while, but we made friends with others in line. Would love it if guests had the inside track to get reservations or first drinks here. the bar is super cute and is something patrons look forward to every year. After one round of drinks there, we went to the hotel restaurant called Bambara. I'm a huge fan of this place and was happy to see Chef Adam still at the helm. Staff was gracious and treated us like gold. See the restaurant review separately. This location is great in Cambridge. Self parking is an easy option with the garage just below, but shared with Cambridgeside Galleria. I was elated to see they added three Diamond Elite parking spots in front. They're not monitored though, so non-elites use these spaces too. Kimpton's are pet friendly and do not charge to bring your furry family members. I didn't have my fur kids with me on this trip, but management was kind enough to think of them too. So happy with this last stay. Thank you Joe, Tara, Sophie, Elijah, Matthew, and Chef Adam. See you again soon.

We love the Kimpton Hotels, first it is dog friendly and they don't charge a fee for pets. They have bowls and treats available and pet care services. Next is their 5-6 pm free wine. A nice time to spend some time with friends or get to meet new ones, our dog certainly did . This particular Kimpton has a nice art installation at the entrance of the hotel, a nice armillary. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. We've never had a bad experience at the Kimpton (this is our 3rd Kimpton).

I liked this Kimpton. The wine hour was fun with some decent wines. The rooms are relatively large and comfortable although my bed had a little sag. Those with pets are treated very well without hassles. There is a mandatory amenity free which gives you nothing of value which is annoying. Staff were pleasant and the hotel is well located

This is a beautiful hotel! It is located in Cambridge and seems like a hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had to change rooms without an issue. One restaurant is onsite, and there is valet and self parking. To self park, you need to take a right just past the main entrance. There is a sign, but hard to see at night.

Tell me you're staying at a Boston hotel without telling me you're staying at a Boston hotel =)

My daughter and I spent a week in Boston over New Years, to celebrate all things hockey. I picked the Hotel Marlowe because I enjoy the Kimpton brand, and the Marlowe was conveniently located near TD Gahden and the T at Lechmere. We ended up paying a bit extra to have a river view, which I'm not sure was entirely worth it. The housekeeping was excellent, the staff were all friendly, and we enjoyed the winter pop up bar in the lobby. Next time I'm in town for a game, I'll be staying here again!

For the holidays, they have cute little miracle bar pop up next to the Bambara bar. Such a cute vibe, the drinks are nice. The decorations are so festive and truly adds an enjoyable time with friends or family. We also had some chicken wings and friends and they were delicious! They're open until the 24th of this month.

After traveling through Italy and Spain and staying in some really nice resorts IE Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott in Venice we were a little skewed in our experiences with those hotels. Then we took a family trip to Boston and stayed the Kimpton Hotel Marlow. Rooms were very nice and the location was excellent. You share a parking garage with the Mall and even greater bonus they have EV Charging stations for our EV rental! Above all was the service. You can have lots of amenities but without the customer service it's not worth it and the front desk was super accommodating and took care of whatever we needed.. I will be looking to stay at more IHG hotels in the futons I travel for business and personal.

It's whats on the inside that counts! This tiny hotel has a lot to offer. When you pull into the drive-in front entrance you are wow'd by the decor. Looks like it has been recently renovated. The rooms I felt could have been better since it's a Kimpton brand hotel. Nonetheless, they were pleasant and up to date. Outlets easily accessible next to the bed. Large flat screen TV mounted on the wall. A fridge and a safe accompanied the room. This hotel has a 2nd floor with rooms for events such as weddings or business meetings. It also has a mini gym room up on the top floor with new equipment: treadmills, dumbells (up to 50lbs), a pully machine, and a few kettle bells. The restaurant on the main floor was good, but the menu is limited. The burger was super juicy and delicious, but a tad small for my liking. The staff here are super friendly and accommodating! I was very pleased in my dealings with many of them. There is a parking garage below the building, and also valet. The price difference is self parking $30 vs valet $45 (plus tips).

    Very clean

Love this hotel. Top rate hotel. They go above and beyond for guests. I was able to check out a little late. The rooms are quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area is lush greenery. Lots of parks and areas to walk. They also offer a food and beverage credit each day and provide coffee in the AM, wine at night, and cold water all day.

Avocado toast, banana bread and chai latte.

We got married in late October and were fortunate enough to get a sunny, mid-60s day. The brick outside is absolutely beautiful, but the space inside is just take-your-breath-away lovely! We had ~115 people attend our wedding and had more than enough room for a dance floor with a DJ. We even had a Bulgarian Dance Group come in and do a performance and there was enough space. We worked primarily with Jeff R. at the CMAC who was amazing! He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process (even on the day of the wedding itself - he was there until long after the event ended). He even recommended an uplighting vendor who was great as well and he added all of these mini touches that made the entire experience special (like focusing a light on us as we made our big entrance down the staircase as husband & wife).

The theater itself is so beautiful that, other than table linens and flowers, we did not decorate it at all because the architecture, marble, and ceiling are so striking. We also used the standard lighting and did not need any extra lights. CMAC gives you a list of approved caterers, so it narrows your options a bit (which was good for us, since we needed a place to start) and will rent tables and chairs to you. We also rented a piano for dinner, and all of these items come out of your deposit. The location is great in that it is close to the T and a parking garage; we walked to a boat near the Cambridgeside Galleria for our coffee and cake, which we would not have been able to do at another location. It was just perfect for us!!! One thing that was absolutely amazing was the event manager. Jeff completely took care of us and helped us by giving suggestions and being really flexible around rehearsal and event times. He even let us lock up items after the wedding and come back the next day for them. He was awesome! THANK YOU, JEFF!

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

I heard my conference would be held at the MIT Faculty Club and was expecting something luxurious. Instead, the club is on the sixth floor of the Sloan Building and is a collection of function rooms along a hallway. As Cat mentions, the views from the faculty club are amazing. Unlike Cat, I found the food surprisingly delicious. The veggie dishes were my favorite, including a chickpea-and-lentil stuffed tomato and an amazing corn side. MIT also seems to have its own red and white wines, labeled with "MIT 150," which were not particularly good but definitely a kick to drink. The decor could use major improvement. The furniture is what you'd find in a mid-level hotel. The chairs, by the end of multi-hour meetings, provide less-than-optimal ass-cushioning. The AV support for the club was also some of the worst I've experienced: Guys, learn how to use a projector, PowerPoint, and an audio hookup, and you'll solve a lot of your problems. Finally, there is the area security issue. I realize the Faculty Club was not responsible for the theft of my bike, but when I went inside to ask the admins for the number for the MIT Police, they were not surprised by my dilemma and said it happens all the time.
