The place is small yet clean. We ordered Chicken Mandu for appetizer and Chris and I both had the Bulgogi with extra meat for the entree and bean sprouts for extra ban chan. The mandu were tiny and the shell was crispy which we liked but it lacked flavor. The bulgogi was saucy and overly sweet. It looked like minced meat, not the usual thinly sliced beef and it had slices of cabbage. The color was light, not the usual dark due to all the spices in the marinade. The entree came with kimchi which had light flavor. I did like the bean sprouts though.

What a spectacular amazingly customer service I'm in the town (Wichita, KS) for work training and I'm always on the go to tryout yummy delicious outstanding foods and I could say, it made me craves for more especially Kimbap with Tuna & Fried Tofu is the best so far...Round2 for me Fresh handmade daily and everything blends so well together. You all must try it out! It's fantastic For round2 status: I ordered Kimbap w/Tuna, Squid Bulgogi (sweet and a little kick of spicy flavor) and Ramen noodles. I'm guessing she's the owner or worker I'm not sure but she given me a side of Kimchee Thank you so very much. You made my foodies adventure trip the best, and to look forward on my next visit.

10/10 would definitely recommend this hidden gem! The food was so good! The flavor was so rich and creamy! If you're ever in the mood for Korean food this is the place for you!! I had gotten the spicy squid. The squid was pure perfection with whatever sauce they had made! The flavor was for sure 10/10! The flavor was spicy and rich! One of the best squid I've had. My son got the ramen and it was ehh. I wouldn't recommend the ramen. Tbh, it just tasted like noodles out of a package. My mom had order the DolSot Bibimbap. Her food came out sizzling hot on a hot stone! 10/10. The sizzling stone cooked her rice to the perfect crisp! -- not pictured My brother got the soft tofu soup! I am not a fan of tofu, but the broth of the soup *CHEFS KISS*!! It was so delicious, spicy and rich! It was sooo full of flavor! The dish was paired with rice. It was so good my brother had drank the broth and made sure every inch of liquid was gone. -- not pictured

This is a good local Korean food restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was good, except there was a bit of a language barrier. I really enjoy this experience, the biggest drawback was the only Banchan (side dishes) offered were Kimchi and fried tofu. These two side dishes complimented what ordered well but I would've liked to have a bigger variety of Banchan (side dishes). I ordered Beef Bulgogi, Pork Bulgogi and Japchae, all entrees were delicious.

This restaurant is excellent and authentic. I was stationed overseas in Korea for a year and I love Korean food. This place is absolutely worth visiting. My wife and I got the Dolsot Bibimbap as well as a Tuna and Beef Gimbap. Everything was fantastic! I absolutely plan to make this a regular stop when I visit Wichita! The waiter and kitchen staff were extremely pleasant. Kamsa Hamnida!

My family visited Kimchi this weekend for the first time. I wanted to try Korean food and had heard good things about this establishment. We went at 5 p.m. on a Saturday. Two other couples also arrived at this time. The owners young 3-5 year old excitedly yelled to the kitchen, "More people are here!" It was adorable. The restaurant is small, but I would say that is a benefit, and it is very clean. I had accessed the menu online prior to arriving so I knew what I was going to order-I was nervous I would get it wrong, but even if not, the server was super nice and willing to explain anything we were confused about. I believe this is a family run restaurant and you can feel the homeliness of it. We ordered 2 of the kimbop (bap), ramen with chicken, spicy squid, and the dolsot bibimbap. Everything was amazing! You can't go wrong with anything here! We spend around $60 and I would say we got our moneys worth. We had leftovers from two of our meals. Highly recommend Kimchi!!!

Excellent food! Some of my favorite in Wichita. The service is always fast and I never leave hungry. I have tried many things on the menu, but my favorite is the kimchi soup and the veggie kimbap. I highly recommend!

This is one of the few Korean restaurants I've been to in Wichita and I really enjoyed it. Their menu wasn't that extensive, but they had all the popular Korean food options like bibimbap, bulgogi, kimbap, soups, etc. Food: -Kimchi soup ($11.99): I'd give this dish a 3/5. The portion was large and the soup was filling, but it lacked flavor. The soup was quite sour and tangy, which is expected since it's made from fermented kimchi, but I wasn't a fan of how sour it was. I've had better and more flavorful kimchi soups at other restaurants. I'd recommend getting their soft tofu soup instead. My boyfriend usually gets the soft tofu, but he wanted to try the kimchi soup this time. He also preferred the soft tofu over the kimchi, but still enjoyed the kimchi soup nonetheless. "It's all Wichita's got," is what he'd say LOL. -Soft tofu soup ($9.99): I'd give this dish a 4.5/5. Soft tofu soup is one of my favorite Korean foods. I love the texture of the soft tofu and the spicy delicious soup. Kimchi gives you an option between beef and seafood, and I chose the seafood soup. The soup was warm, comforting, and overall really good. However, like the kimchi soup, it lacked some flavor compared to other soft tofu places I've eaten at like BCD or Kaju in California. It was still delicious and hit the spot anyway. The price is also much more reasonable than CA prices as well, so I can't really complain. Both soups came with a bowl of rice and banchan (side dishes). The banchan consisted of kimchi and a soy sauce crispy tofu dish. Both were really enjoyable and the rice was cooked perfectly. Overall: I would definitely come back for the tofu soup when I'm back in Wichita. I would love to try out their other dishes as well. The restaurant was very homey and cute, and the service was good as well. Parking is also super easy since the restaurant is in a plaza with plenty of parking spots. I'd recommend Kimchi if you're craving some Korean food in Wichita!

We were informed it was a BBQ/Hot pot establishment, but had the option on choosing one of the two options. My group requested just BBQ and we were given an iPad to order. I did not see appetizers besides white rice and asked our server if there were appetizers. Our server mumbled a response, which I believed was only hotpot was given appetizers. After some time, I walked over to the hotpot area, but people having just BBQ were also eating the appetizers as well. I asked our server again and was given an annoyed face with a "yes." The lack of communication was one thing, but the rudeness was off-putting and ruined the vibe. The meat quality and other food options were fine, but that doesn't help the dine in experience if the staff doesn't care; don't want to visit this place again.

This place is FIRE!!! If you are reading this and you are very hungry; eat here now!…read more To all my peoples in Wichita -- Let me help deconstruct the matter so it makes a little bit more sense. So as most of you know, Korean BBQ has been trending all over the world and it's been a fanfare for many years now. And for those of you who are unfamiliar with KBBQ and AYCE -- these acronyms stand for Korean BBQ and All You Can Eat. Disclaimer: you will smell like charcoal smoke so be advised not to wear your Balenciaga cashmere sweater! Haha, next, in the world of KBBQ, we grill our own food so it's hot off the press and fresh in your tummy. Secondly, hot pot is known in Japanese culture as Shabu Shabu -- meaning, Ghengis Khan used to cook live cattle meat with veggies in a ginormous wok, so he can feed all of his soldiers during their Mongolian conquest when it was freezing cold out. So put 1 + 1 together (KBBQ + HOT POT) and you get this beautiful hybridization known as KPOT. This concept is trending all over California because for one; when you have a ravenous appetite, this place will suffice and two; during a freezing cold February stretch, KPOT will warm you up just like it did Ghengis Khan and all of his soldiers during the harsh Siberian winters. I come from a place called Koreatown Los Angeles, where we take Korean BBQ to new heights each and every year. And let me tell all of you Wichitans something; you have no clue how good this restaurant is on a metric of good to greatest from California to New York. You guys have a 5% Asian population here and yet, you have restaurants like KPOT, KyuRamen and Kimchi. How spoiled you are here in Kansas! Wichita is so beautiful BTW and your food and beef quality is superb. Thank you Kansas! You fed me so well during my stay. I leave for Cali in the morning. Going going back back to... you know the rest :)

We came in as a party of five at 8:30pm, fully aware they close at 9. We ordered quickly and respectfully, excited to enjoy one of my favorite dishes: the chicken katsu. I've raved about it to friends, especially the generous portions--normally two large, pounded-out chicken breasts per order. But tonight was a different story. We ordered a bibimbap, 10 wings, a roll, gyoza, a child's katsu, tempura and two chicken katsu meals (close to $20 each). For our katsus instead of full portions, it was obvious the kitchen split one order between both plates--then handed the scraps to the child's meal, which we were told would be "half" an adult size. It wasn't even close. Not only was the portion insulting, but the food wasn't fresh. The chicken was dry, overcooked, and hard as a rock. I couldn't even bite through one piece--I had to spit it out. When we brought it up, they offered 10% off. Honestly, that felt like a slap in the face. I had just convinced people to come here based on how good this meal used to be, and instead I ended up apologizing to my guests for bringing them here and still paid for meals we weren't fully served. If you were low on chicken, in a rush to close, or just had a lazy cook that night--own it. Don't try to pass off a single meal as two. That's not just disappointing--it's dishonest. This experience was a joke. And if that's how regulars get treated, I will regular no more.

I'm also hugely protective of the cuisine itself and hate how it's been gentrified in recent years so I tend to be pretty critical and admittedly pretentious when it comes to trying out Korean restaurants so I hold them to a higher standard than other types of cuisines. That being said. I was absolutely blown away. This felt like the warmest of hugs from your Korean halmeoni adjacent. I know the current owner took over from the previous owners who were Korean and had owned the restaurant for decades and while I never got to try the restaurant under their ownership I am confident he is doing their legacy justice. The inside is adorable, quaint and clean with the decor itself being charming and thoughtful. Instead of wallpaper pictures of customers over several decades cover the walls floor to ceiling. The menu is the epitome of mostly Korean home cooking and some more familiar take out Chinese dishes. Be patient as it appears to be pretty much run by two people-- one at the counter and one at the kitchen but the wait is worth it. Yaki mandu - made from frozen but honestly, tasty Gimbap - the classic flavors that you look for are all there. This one has bulgogi in it and the danmuji is quite prominent. If you're looking for this to taste like sushi-- it will not taste like sushi. Korean gimbap has its only unique flavor and you'll definitely pick up more sesame flavoring. Kimchi - I fully believe kimchi is a personal taste. There are over 100 kinds and in every Korean home it will taste different. This was for me personally a 7/10. A hair on the salty side for me but the fermentation and spice on it was nice. Extremely generous amount for take out. The mains is where Manna Wok truly shined for me. Everything was so unbelievably authentic, I would never have believed that a non Korean born individual was responsible for making the food if I didn't see it with my own eyes. The care and attention to detail was unmatched. Pork bulgogi - (hot) my husband enjoyed it. This unassuming dish was soft, savory, and sweet and the vegetables were tender but not mushy. Would not have changed a thing. Perfectly authentic and served with rice. Japchae - seasoned perfectly in my opinion. It was a little more garlic heavy than other recipes I've had before but honestly the more garlic the merrier for my personal taste. Noodles had the perfect familiar japchae chewy texture. If you know, you know. Tteokbokki - (very hot) Now listen. This was extremely good, you can find this basically on the shelves now in any Asian grocery store but there's just something about this dish made from scratch. Very hot was pretty much just normal spice for the average Korean. The sauce was thick and savory with a hint of sweet. And also it came with beef? That's actually not traditional so I felt like I was committing robbery by just automatically getting it with a protein so score! Kimchi fried rice - first off, holy portions. It automatically comes with a fried egg so I added a fried egg on accident so woops guess I know that for next time. It had beef also and I appreciated how the kimchi itself was left in pieces that you could see. Made it pleasing to the eye and gave a nice texture. There was a nice glisten to the rice but it was not greasy and the kimchi gave the rice a subtle tangy flavor. Just so so good and stick to your ribs savory. There was not one miss amongst the mains. Portions were in my opinion overly generous for the prices which feel very much pre pandemic, pre inflation, pre before Korean food became trendy to me. I am just floored this place does not have a constant line out the door. For my fellow Koreans, this place is legit. For those looking to try authentic Korean food but don't know where to begin, look no further. If you're brand new to Korean food you cannot go wrong with beef or pork bulgogi, bibimbap (get it hot stone for a special treat), or if you don't mind chewy textures japchae!

B/c it's a bit time consuming to make, a lot of Korean restaurants, esp ones that don't specialize in this dish, might make it from a package. I do the same, but since Grace Market has new ownership, I've been hard pressed to find my noodles. A friend told me about KC, so I gave it a shot. It's a tiny grocery store run by one little woman. She was very helpful and helped me quickly find my noodles along with a few other items (they sell mentaiko)! I think the prices were fair enough, and the place itself was clean. I'm pretty upset that I didn't find this place earlier, though. Apparently, she used to make naengmyeon FROM SCRATCH and served it at her store. I've already told you how frickin' difficult that is to find....and in the Midwest? Forget it! She made other items too in her little kitchen in the back...or used to. Apparently, a customer saw that she was cooking in her store and reported her to the fire department. She was not to code (no hood or something like that), so they told her that til she modified things, she was not allowed to cook there. Of course, she does not have the money to do so, so that's that. To the concerned citizen: Hi, lovely not to have met you. I imagine you're one of those follow-the-rules-off-the-cliff types. Nothing wrong with that. The world needs ppl like you to keep it in line. However, you came between me and my noodles. Now I'm back to instant, packaged B grade stuff. *Sigh*
