Kara age, Japanese spring rolls, Age tofu

Obviously Chinese cooking smh Too deep fry, very unlike Japanese cooking. I had kara age, age tofu and spring rolls. They were all too crunchy. The celery flavor is good as typical cooking, but it makes to not Japanese taste.

Awesome sushi, there's not a lot in that area, and it's convenient. They even deliver! I like the hibachi meals; the veggies are fresh, the brown sauce perfect, and the fried rice had real eggs in it (fresh!), and the shrimp was great quality. The eggrolls are different than a lot of places, more savory and very great. I also like the sushi or noodles, I had ordered from here for years (I live close). I personally love the spicy crunchy tuna roll! Awesome batter and crunch!!!!! They also have RAMEN!!! Made fresh of course, sometimes they run out! Great place and in the 9+ years I've lived close, ordered lots of food, and never had a problem!

Delicious yakisoba steak!

Fuji is one of the few Japanese restaurants in town, but it is one of the best. It is a small hole in the wall, but the food here is delicious. I ate the Yakisoba steak. Moderately priced at 8.55, but it was wonderful. The sauce has a great beef flavor, and it also has onions, carrots, broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms in the dish. I ordered without zucchini and mushrooms and there were no problems altering the order. The steak was well done, but tender. The noodles themselves have a delicious bite to them, as ramen noodles should. The vegetables are crisp and flacorful. I also ordered a side of Gyoza for 5.95. It comes with 5 dumplings. (which I ate too quickly to get a picture of). Gyoza is a steamed dumpling, which is then placed on a flat top grill to crisp up one side. It is served with a side of soy sauce. The beef inside is very tender and the dumpling holds it's shape well. There are a few downsides. Being a hole in the wall. The eating area is relatively small and is nothing too lavish. The dishes come out on paper plates, and everything is disposable from the cups, to the silverware. It's a simple place. The customer service is good, but not exceptional. The best part of the place though, is that they deliver. Typically, that is how I order food from this restaurant. It is quick, you can pay with a credit card and the food comes hot. If you are wanting a quick bite, but feel more comfortable at home, I would recommend delivery. All in all, I give this place 3 stars. While the food is delicious, the decor is a bit lacking. While I don't have a problem with being pretty self serve, I would like to see better quality dishes and utensils. Avoid eating in, to avoid these problems.

Not easily palatable.

Ordered miso soup $1.65, not a bad price, but it tasted as watered down and bland as I've had it. I was suspicious it may have been made with a miso soup packet. Also ordered the spicy tuna roll $6.95, rather overpriced for Wichita, especially at the quality presented. This roll was the saddest example of a spicy tuna roll I've seen, there was a tremendous amount of cream cheese and very little tuna, dillons makes sushi at a quality far exceeding this and that is saying something. Also I should note they do not provide a dish for soy sauce. And ordered a rainbow roll $7.95, average price, quality presented also was subpar. At this point I am not sure anyone at this location actually understands sushi making, I am also regretting my purchase. Btw, I guess they don't feel the need to include wasabi with every roll.

Absolute worst Teriyaki Chicken I have ever had. Got the rice with it and added some noodles which had a weird taste I can't even explain! Save your money and go somewhere else!

The Alaskan sushi is a must try

I always go here for their salmon sushi specifically the Salmon Lovers combo. I haven't been disappointed yet and it's quite affordable.

Let me start by saying - we were super pleasantly surprised to find a Szechuan place in Kansas. Secondly, the spice wasn't too spicy, so it's more manageable. And lastly, for 10 people, we shared 10 dishes, and it came to only $150.... plus tip, we were still less than $20 a person! That's amazing... that's probably only 5 dishes in NJ/NY, at most. Favs: - Stir fried cabbage, a little spicy but solid. - Veggie lo mein was a hit with the kids, didn't even get to try it. - Egg fried rice was solid, good flavor, enough soy - Hot & spicy fish fillet in chili oil was excellent, not too spicy - Beef in hot sour broth - probably my favorite with the sour pickled veggies - Braised eggplant w/ garlic & chili was solid Just ok: - Braised pork was fatty, and the sauce wasn't as savory as I wanted - Sizzling beef - a little too long on the sizzling plate made it hard by the time I tried it, so probably need to revisit when the dish first comes out and the kids don't delay it - Spicy pig's blood w/ tripe & veggies was ok; I've had better versions but this included a good mix of the offal and veggies. - Potato w/ vinegar flavor - I get the feeling they probably didn't hear that we wanted the one that was spicy; this lacked that peppery ma-la kick. They ran out of the sauteed water spinach, but that's ok... we were full up! Definitely a delicious surprise and good spot to grab food. That being said, service was very slow, so make sure you're aware of that before you go in at a busy time... temper your expectations on speed of service.

The service was a bit slow and looked like they could use more help in the restaurant with host up front and serving. The food was a bit bland.. which isn't a bad thing because if we needed to sauce it up, we could to our own palette with soy sauce. I was expecting the fried rice and chow fun to have two different flavors, but it was very similar flavoring. Felt like I was eating the same thing, just different textures. Fried chicken wings was okay, a bit more batter than what I'm used to. The ambiance on the inside was a nice sit down style.

Use to love this place…read more Local fav of mine for 16+ years! But the last few times I've ordered food.. it was not good sometimes it's not even edible. Flavors were off in some of my favorite dishes. Rice is dry and off. Dry over cooked, chewy meat that you end up having to spit out. I remember the old family that use to run this place. Them and the kids were so sweet. I remember coming in and they would be doing homework or coloring! Food was always amazing! Not sure if they sold or if this is a new management issue. But it's defiantly a shame. Also I'll be the one to say it idc. Common decency is lacking and it needs to be called out! I waited an hour and a half for my food last night. Called at closing to see if they were still delivering it... they made a mistake and thought I was picking it up. I said no...it's delivery. (I'm currently at home sick) She said ok we will send it. It'll be there in 5 min. I hung up. But after a second thought I called back. Cause to me it seems kinda unacceptable to pay full price for what will be cold inedible food again! But instead of making it right with a discount.. or hell even come almond cookies would have been nice! something! The Indian woman snapped at me and said she couldn't give me free food. I never asked for free food. I asked for a discount on hour and a half old food that you guys messed up on. She proceeded to tell me ok..we just won't bring the food. I was taken aback at the lack of customer service and common decency! I just wanted the soup. but they have a $13 delivery min. And with how Ill and weak I was feeling it really sucked to know that after an hour and a half of waiting I would not be getting edible food or food at all for that matter! So yea. I was very upset, sick, weak and hungry. And may I add the lady on the phone told me when I made this review that they will just say I was disgruntled! Like I didn't have a right to be. They were rude last time I called about my sesame chicken being inedible, which is why I stick with the sweet and sour chx if I do order. It's a safer bet. But now I will not be returning at all. Plenty of chances and this place isn't getting any better. ‍ I hope this place finds its way again but if they don't make major changes... i don't expect them to last much longer.

I have been in this city for 22 days and I am mad that it took me this long to try Oh Yeah!,…read morebecause their food made me say, "Hell yeah!" Customer service was great. We arrived about 50 minutes before closing time, but they didn't seem annoyed, nor did they rush us. (Even though I rushed us. I didn't wanna be THAT customer. lol) SALT & PEPPER POTATOES Thinly sliced potatoes seasoned with magic, and cooked with savory jalapeños and onions. Simple yet divine. I'd eat this everyday if my hips would allow it. 10/10 SALT & PEPPER TOFU Firm and crispy tofu cubes supremely marinated with the same magical seasoning, so every bite is bursting with flavor. Seriously delicious. And they give you a LOT (2 or 3 days worth of food with these appetizers)! 10/10 THAI SPRING ROLLS - (vegan version) fresh, crispy, made with veggies. 10/10 ORANGE "CHICKEN" - my vegan version was made with soy protein. Although it wasn't spicy (the menu indicates that it's a spicy dish), it was still delicious. The sauce is amazing. The soy was cooked to perfection: not too hard or too chewy; a light crisp on the outside. Excellent vegan option. 9/10 My friend got the Ma La with real chicken and the Crab Rangoon and she loved it. This place is very vegan and gluten-free friendly. I have 2 more weeks in Wichita, and I plan to revisit multiple times to try more of their vegan entrees. There are no fully veg restaurants here, so this place is a must try for veg*ns (and non) in the area.

Food: 5; Staff: 4.5; Ambiance: 4; Location: 3 Will give this…read morean overall rating of 4 of 5 - however, my "points off" from a 5 have nothing to do with the food. I've read a few reviews on here that complain about the food. The fact is that EVERY buffet diner will have some food that sat out a little too long from time to time. You will never avoid that. The good news here is that this staff is very attentive to the food lines and in the 30 plus times we've dined there, it is RARE that the food is cold, or "unappealing" (according to one reviewer). We have always found the food to be warm-hot, tasty and of good quality. There is a nice variety and for me, I specifically love the coconut shrimp and Onion Shrimp. Everyone won't like every food they present - I, for one, don't like the Japanese style chicken they serve - but that is an individual taste and doesn't mean the food is "bad". Dessert line is limited but sufficient - and unlike other buffet's we've frequented, the ice cream machine has never run out. Another nice benefit of this buffet is their takeout. You can come in and, for a fixed price, fill a takeout container with as much as you can grab. They will have a bag, utensils and fortune cookie waiting for you when you are finished. The staff is usually very attentive and efficient. Yes, one or two people that work there aren't "talkative", and some language difficulties can appear to be "anger", or "rudeness", but the fact is they do their job. They will ask children their ages - because they have an age cutoff for their pricing - and unfortunately many adults will lie to get the cheaper price. The children are most always honest. It's not "badgering" like one person reviewed - it's their right. Now - why I reviewed as a 4 and not a 5? The location is in an awkward place. It is one block over from the "red brick" main street and near the southwestern outskirts of the town. This is mainly an industrial area, and the roads around the restaurant are less than ideal. The building is older, and their popularity has out-grown their space so many times it gets crowded there, and parking becomes limited (although there is a parking lot area across the street from them). This is actually great for the food turnover, keeping it fresh and hot. It would benefit them to look into moving to a larger facility within the main area of the town (maybe buy out the Hidalgo's building?). The ambiance is nice, and there are TV screens usually showing some sports event. Overall, you are missing out on a hidden Chinese buffet gem if you don't visit this place. We've lived in many different states, and King Buffet resides in the top 3 or 4 of our buffet lists.

There is an abundance of choices, but not all are appealing or tasty. The egg rolls were cold and…read moregreasy. The shrimp and onions were cold and hard. Dessert left something to be desired. The restaurant is a small pre-fab building three blocks down a dark and deserted street off of the main road. Parking was not plentiful, but I found a space on the side after one loop around. I wouldn't chance walking very far from that place. The wait staff was extremely rude. Their posted hours were until 9 pm. At 8 pm, the kitchen staff began vacuuming and sweeping while customers were trying to enjoy their dinners. They began rushing customers. I was presented my bill while eating my first plate. When I was the last one in the restaurant, they yelled at me in broken English that they close at 8:30 pm. They were visibly perturbed that I wanted to use the bathroom, waiting near the door for me to finish. I paid my bill and, against my better judgment, left a tip. No "thank you" from the woman at the register. No "come again." So, I can guarantee that I won't ever drive a half hour to go to this place ever again. In comparison to quality Chinese buffets that I have experienced in other cities, this restaurant was definitely below par.
