Wanted to get some ice cream with my mom for Mother's Day, right away I was embraced with a welcome to Kilwin's and an array of assorted treats! You could smell a bit of everything they we're making in the kitchen, which you have a full view of. (Very fun to watch) I also noticed walking in the freshly made waffle cones. We went back to the ice cream while passing chocolates, dipped treats and candy pieces to peak everyone's own interest! I know they give out samples too! *hint hint* My mom and I knew what we wanted though. I ordered Toasted Coconut with a waffle cone. Taste point was spot on for this coconut packed ice cream! Mom ordered peanut butter chocolate on a sugar cone to sweeten her day! read more

We heard about this great new ice cream/ dessert parlor that was new in town. We just had to try it out! We were going to get teacher gifts for the end of the school year and stumbled across some chocolate covered peanuts. The sounded perfect at only 2.99 each! Yet when we got up to the counter... 9.99 each. You can probably tell how shocked we were. Never going back again. Who knows, maybe they'll change false pricing and we'll go back. read more

Excellent service and high quality chocolates and confections! Best ice cream in Wheaton...the chocolate sea salt caramel is simply amazingly delicious...thank you Kilwins Wheaton ! read more

Good (not great) ice cream. Overpriced for the quality. 2 single scoops were nine dollars! Too many other good ice cream places close by.

This place is great! We just moved into Wheaton 121 a couple blocks away and we like to take frequent walks here for their delicious ice cream and other treats and the service is phenomenal. I think they hire younger high school kids, but the GOOD kind! They are so polite and ready to help you in any way possible. I am willing to spend a little extra on ice cream when it tastes that good and is served with a smile :) read more

I was recently visiting friends and family in Wheaton and was told I HAD to stop into Kilwins. Boy, am I glad I did. Fantastic experience! First, can we talk about how AMAZING this place smells...when I walked in they were making HOMEMADE waffle cones right there near the entrance. The staff was so friendly and helpful, offering samples of fudge and ice cream to try. Really enjoyed my ice cream cone and left with a few of their awesome caramel apple flavors to-go. So nice that they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating if you're with a group and want to hang out while enjoying your treats. Highly recommend visiting Kilwins Wheaton!! YUM!!!!!! read more

I have purchased gift chocolates 4 or 5 times in the last year from the Kilwins in Wheaton, and they were always met with rave reviews. So fresh, almost too pretty to eat, and so nicely packaged! And the selection is huge. I stopped by to see what they might have to offer that would work well for "game" gifts at a bridal shower that I was co-hosting with my sisters downstate. I decided on the lovely small gift boxes that neatly hold 4 nice-sized chocolates/truffles. The crisp black-on-white flourish on the boxes went perfectly with the shower tablescapes, and they would all fit in a decorated basket for easy distribution. I found small pretty, sheer gold fabric bags at the craft store to place them in so the boxes would be protected if the women wanted to place them in a purse, etc. I placed the order and was planning on picking them up a day or two before I drove down for the shower. Unfortunately I fractured my ankle earlier in the week. I was in a panic, as I had promised the shower gifts, as well as lots of other table items, that I needed to quick ship downstate asap, as I was not in any shape to try to host a shower. I called the store to discuss options. It was a very warm week, and the shop owner, a lovely woman, expressed concern for regular shipping methods. No sense in going to all the trouble and ending up with melted chocolates! I had explained my dilemma to her, and long story short, this kind woman offered to DELIVER the chocolates to my home herself after her work day was over. Once I had them at my home, I packaged them up in an insulated cooler bag with some frozen "shipping" packets that I had, and my husband got them overnighted to my sister. Once again, the chocolates were an enormous hit with the game winners, and I was most grateful that the owner helped me fulfill my obligations for the party the best I could. It was wonderfully kind of her. This was not a large order, just gifts for the winning table, but the level of customer service was remarkable, and was so graciously offered. Kilwins chocolates will be high on my holiday shopping list to tuck onto cookie plates, take as hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, etc. Thank you, again! read more

Very cute and clean store. Interesting to watch the candy making. Ice cream was my primary reason for visiting this store. The ice cream selection is good. I ordered a single scoop and was a little surprised by the $4.50 price point. The ice cream was good but I have to admit I expected it to be fantastic at that price. read more

The store was beautiful but the woman franchise owner left a lot to be desired. She was uninterested in the customers and her customer service skills are lacking. I can't believe a new business would not have the enthusiasm required for a successful long term staple in Wheaton. read more

Our family loves Kilwins! It is such a fun place to bring the kids and get ice cream. The atmosphere is wonderful and the ice cream is even better! We love that you can sit outside and eat. I would highly recommend visiting, you will not be disappointed! read more

Stopped in here for ice cream while strolling around downtown on a hot day. We usually go to grahams but decided to try here. I'm so glad we did because I think although grahams has excellent service and everything is good, their ice cream and chocolates tend to run on the sweet to VERY sweet side. We were offered a free sample of fudge. I tried the double dark chocolate and he had the salted caramel, both were delicious. Then for the ice cream I had a vanilla with fudge (I think it was called mackinaw fudge?) and he had the sea salt caramel. So delicious! Service was great! Kilwins is my new stop for ice cream in downtown wheaton! read more

Our family stopped in for ice cream yesterday. Beautiful store and very friendly staff. My husband and I were so excited to see they have both superman and blue moon flavors. These are favorites of ours that we haven't had in years! We will definitely try some fudge the next time we go back. The only downside was that there were no tables or benches outside. We walked down the street a bit and sat by the fountains. read more

$18 for one piece of candy and a chocolate shake! Really!!? Ridiculous in my humble opinion. But to make matters worse, a female associate who I believe may have been the owner was not welcoming and paid no attention to me as I asked her to give me the chocolate piece that had the most caramel. I then realized the reason she was not paying me any mind was because she only came out to the counter because a couple of minority teens had come in and she was quite focused on them. Will not be going back to this overpriced with poor customer service candy shop. read more

I was on a walk/workout on Sunday around noon and needed to use a restroom. I went into Kilwins and was greeted by a lady behind the counter and when I asked if I could use the restroom she said it was for paying customers only. Well, I live in Wheaton and am a mother of two young kids who love to get ice cream and I am often a paying customer there but won't be now in the future. read more

I am a "dessert person" and Kilwins provides the perfect dessert no matter what I am I the mood for! My top 3 favorites are the cappuccino chocolate chip ice cream, the red licorice, and the sea salt caramels. The store is very clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have enjoyed every experience I have had at Kilwins in Wheaton and I think they have the best treats in town! read more

Zero stars would be no mistake. Went in today and stood at the counter and was completely ignored by the woman who appeared to be in charge. She managed to greet the people who came through the door as I stood there waiting. I walked out. I hope the franchise reads reviews, because this experience has tarnished their brand. That's what I get for not going to Graham's in the first place.. read more

After a delicious night out for dinner, we had heard this was THE place for dessert and we were not disappointed! They were making fresh waffle cones in the store and fresh fudge right in the store! You have to see it to believe it! Free samples galore! We had sooo many choices...chocolates, amazing selection best I have ever seen, the fudge, a least a dozen to choose from and then the caramel apples and ice cream...service was excellent and our whole family enjoyed our Kilwins experience...thank you! read more

Update: Gave Kilwins another try, mainly because Graham's had a line outside the door. My husband liked the ice cream flavor, I believe it is called Marshmallow S' more. Unfortunately, the employees were not friendly. Two of them, it seemed, couldn't wait for customers to leave so they could go in the back and chat. The second we were done paying they both ran to the back ignoring us when we needed something. Now, they may of had work to do back there, but really wait till customers are gone. One girl was working hard refilling tp in the bathroom and restocking cups and such and another was dipping apples, but the other two (a young man and young lady) just took off and when serving couldn't crack a smile. My 9 yr. old was vomiting the chocolate pb ice cream from Kilwins. This has never happened with any other ice cream. He was the only one who had that flavor. Not happy. We won't be back. They can keep their scoops. Just not for us. read more
