Faith ran our class with style and grace! She taught us how to work the wheel. She was sweet and patient with each of us! She took the time to show us how to correct our mistake or how to do a certain steps when we were making errors. It is a small shop and classes are quite small, which is a bonus! Our class had 5 people and felt like one on one training. We came here for a workshop and the experience was very enjoyable. It was a Christmas present from my wife. I didn't get a chance to do my ghost imitation so we have to go back. We joked that they should have a ghost jar like a swear jar. I would have dropped a dollar in the jar. Great place! Check it out! they have single classes, monthly classes and memberships. You can play with the clay as much as you want!

Such friendly staff great date night experience, We learned the basics of pottery and walked away with some pieces we will be able to keep. Also made some new friends during class!

My bf and I are in town for some work. I surprised him with a date night on a Friday. Parking was not easy but we found a garage across the street for $1.75/hr. The instructor was informative and helpful who came around and helped w everybody. She even helped us to take picture for our first pottery lesson! So we all have 3 chances to make something we like but we could only take one home. He unfortunately made an "abstract". He wasn't going to take any until I told him these puppies cost us $195 At the end of the night, we had to wait in line and wash everything. We also found out it'll take 3 weeks for the winner we select to be done. We had lots of fun but wished for that price should come with some drinks like those paint nights.

My husband surprised me with a date night to do pottery. The experience was a blast because I was with him doing something new. But I have to be honest and say it wasn't because of the company or instructor that I enjoyed myself. We paid $200 with tip for two people. The instructor spent 40 minutes of the two hours telling us how to work the clay. Then we got our clay. She told us several times that the clay we were using is recycled clay. My first thought.... Why is it so expensive if we don't even get the best product to work with? Then I did not do well on my pieces and mentioned a few times to the instructor that it's hurting my hands. She didn't respond. I screwed up two chunks of clay and had to start over. So did the guy next to me. She came over once to assist me but didn't teach me, she just took over on my piece, without a word. Therefore I wasn't successful and had to ask for another clay but she never brought it to me. I was still having fun despite the frustrations. I never got a finished piece because I didn't have help and time ran out. Bummer but oh well. Then, there were 8 of us in the class and we all paid the same. When we were done, we were all instructed to wash our bowls and buckets out. There was one sink so we had to wait for everyone to finish. I just feel like at that price point there should have been someone else there to help us be successful and that washing their supplies should be on them to do. We paid for the experience, not to clean up. I don't want to do that on my date night. I want to enjoy myself and have that taken care of so I'm not doing my every day thing on a "date night". Lastly, I had mentioned that it hurt when I was working my clay. Well I ended up with 6 cuts on my hands from what I can only assume was a gravel piece stuck in the clay. It hurt like crazy! Had we had the good clay, maybe that wouldn't have happened? I don't know... I just feel like it was not worth the money. So I'll try again but not at this company. Too many cons to give them my money again. Paid for used clay that left me with injuries, got little to no instruction and left without a piece because mine didn't work out and she never gave me more clay after saying she would. Super bummed.

We always have a wonderful time when we're here. The space is so open and airy you can really let your creativity flow. I've only ever done the pottery painting here, but I've been painting whilst a class was going and they looked like they were having so much fun and the instructor was so generous with their knowledge and advice. The staff is so encouraging while you're painting too, but they don't hover with is great ^^

The instructor was such a sweet lady and very patient with a party of 7 kids. Gave clear instructions. My 9 years old learned that you can't let the clay be the boss of you. It was a very enjoyable moment to have. The studio is clean and aesthetically pleasant. If you are looking for a unique kids' birthday party or date night this is the place to be. There's another one on the east side of the town but customer service in this place wins. A parking garage is less than half a block away. And there's a cute little cafe next door for some matcha or chai latte. Will be back for a date night.

Parking was easy since we came right at opening but there are plenty of spaces in the back parking garage. I definitely recommend making a reservation online for your party. It's very easy to do on their website. Walking in we were greeted warmly by the staff and he explained the process to us. All the painting materials and form are on the table all set up and there shelves upon shelves of ceramic projects we can choose from. There were so many choices from small plates to big jugs and lots of seasonal and fun things for any occasion. The space is open, bright, and so colorful! It looked like there was a nice space in the back area for bigger parties. Our friend's daughter did a simple small plate ($25!) and my daughter painted a bigger skull plate ($33) and everything has a huge range it just depend on what you want to paint and how much money you want to spend. This is definitely about the experience and spending time doing something fun and relaxing together but I still got a little sticker shock. They also charge $6/kid and $10/adult studio fee. We felt very comfortable here and was not rushed The turnaround on the things we painted was very fast (less than a week!) The staff were so friendly and helpful and it was a great experience for the girls and they were very proud of their work! We might come back when they are a little older to make more keepsake things.

I took a class (well technically two in a valentine's day special class which was an amazing value) there over the last 2 weeks and I was amazed by how much I learned and enjoyed. Ted is not only a talented artist, but also a patient and inspiring teacher. He showed me how to turn a lump of clay into a beautiful bowl, step by step, with clear instructions and helpful tips. He also encouraged me to experiment with different shapes, textures, and colors, and to express my own style and vision. He made me feel confident and proud of my work, even though I had no prior experience with pottery. The studio itself is a cozy and inviting space. There are plenty of tools and materials to choose from, and everything is clean and organized. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, and you can chat with other students or work quietly at your own pace. Ted is always there to answer your questions, offer feedback, or just share his passion for art. He creates a stress-free environment where you can relax and have fun. I had a wonderful time at Norris Arts, and I can't wait to go back for another session. I learned a lot and brought home multiple unique pieces of art that I love. It is a hidden gem in the Camas and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new and creative.
