Parking was easy since we came right at opening but there are plenty of spaces in the back parking garage. I definitely recommend making a reservation online for your party. It's very easy to do on their website. Walking in we were greeted warmly by the staff and he explained the process to us. All the painting materials and form are on the table all set up and there shelves upon shelves of ceramic projects we can choose from. There were so many choices from small plates to big jugs and lots of seasonal and fun things for any occasion. The space is open, bright, and so colorful! It looked like there was a nice space in the back area for bigger parties. Our friend's daughter did a simple small plate ($25!) and my daughter painted a bigger skull plate ($33) and everything has a huge range it just depend on what you want to paint and how much money you want to spend. This is definitely about the experience and spending time doing something fun and relaxing together but I still got a little sticker shock. They also charge $6/kid and $10/adult studio fee. We felt very comfortable here and was not rushed The turnaround on the things we painted was very fast (less than a week!) The staff were so friendly and helpful and it was a great experience for the girls and they were very proud of their work! We might come back when they are a little older to make more keepsake things.

We were worried that they would not let us do the crafts as it was a bit closer to closing and we were hoping to paint some pottery but the woman working was so kind. It was a bit disappointing that they didn't have the pottery I hoped for (no simple plates or mugs), but in the end I was able to still choose a platter. They had a variety of paints available and multiple of each paint, so it was really nice as I didn't have to wait for anyone else. I wish they had newer paint brushes as most of them were pretty frayed/had paint/etc., but it wasn't the end of the world. We also ordered a coffee milkshake and it was so beautiful and fun to drink/eat. In the end, we had to stay ~30 minutes past closing to finish up our project, but the woman working was SOSOSO kind. I felt so bad for staying late and tried to finish up as fast as I could, but she was so patient and did not rush us at all. Such amazing service and I would 100% come back again to paint more pottery.

My husband and I enjoyed a date night lesson last night and IT WAS SO FUN!!! Can't wait to return in 2 weeks for a glazing lesson and to be in community with creatives. I took a class (well technically two in a valentine's day special class which was an amazing value) there over the last 2 weeks and I was amazed by how much I learned and enjoyed. Ted is not only a talented artist, but also a patient and inspiring teacher. He showed me how to turn a lump of clay into a beautiful bowl, step by step, with clear instructions and helpful tips. He also encouraged me to experiment with different shapes, textures, and colors, and to express my own style and vision. He made me feel confident and proud of my work, even though I had no prior experience with pottery. The studio itself is a cozy and inviting space. There are plenty of tools and materials to choose from, and everything is clean and organized. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, and you can chat with other students or work quietly at your own pace. Ted is always there to answer your questions, offer feedback, or just share his passion for art. He creates a stress-free environment where you can relax and have fun. I had a wonderful time at Norris Arts, and I can't wait to go back for another session. I learned a lot and brought home multiple unique pieces of art that I love. It is a hidden gem in the Camas and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new and creative.
