We hadn't done anything like this since I was a kid and I brought my 4 year old daughter so we hardly had any idea what we were doing, she couldn't pick a single color or sit down the whole time and we had no clue what any of the tools did. She talked us through the basics then answered all our questions and more. She was also so amazing with my daughter letting her try every technique and tool available and reassuring me that it wasn't a big deal (she wasn't hurting anything, just driving me crazy). Without toddler in tow, we ended into this wonderland workshop, where my wife found herself immersed in browsing all of the handcrafted quality toys, games and oddities scattered throughout, while I entertained our little one in the play area up front. Being parents who would prefer to eschew the blinking lights and annoying audio recordings of today's modern toys, as well as avoiding screen time as much as possible, the variety of puzzling, intriguing, sensory-engaging items on sale here is exactly the sort of analog entertainment we are looking for! I sense a significant section of our upcoming Christmas lists will be sated here at SpielWerk, likely for many years to come!
