I find this behavior distressing, being a senior with numerous health issues, this is a threat on my health and life! Drove by on the way to the beach and decided to check this place out. We both got the Super Bowls one with spicy beef and one with pork. It's a big bowl and very satisfying. Try it with the jalapeño green sauce. Medium spicy and just adds a touch of flavor. I took off one star because it was delicious but just not incredible. read more

Came here in 2011 and liked it. Met the owner. At that time he was a nice guy! Came back in 2016 and the place had gone downhill. The food was baaad. The staff was awful. I was like, "Hey, I know the owner.!" The staff could care less and I think, because I knew him, made my food worse. Ordered tacos. The shells were stale, the meat was cold, the food was tasteless and we left so disappointed." We threw away the food and went to Cholos which was awesome although time consuming considering we had only so much time between skydiving and a hiking tour. Bummed in every way. read more

Finally stopped at killer tacos and well..to say the least, the pork tacos are pretty "killer". Ha sorry corny jokes are kind of my thing! The music is great and it's really laid back. Walk up to the counter, give your order and find a seat ya like! The lady recommended the pork so I did the "lunch special" with two pork tacos and a small drink. We also got chips and salsa with medium and hot sauce. The tacos were good but I felt like it needed more maybe beans would have been nice. We ate everything and was kind of still hungry. Ugh hard no. I've wanted to try this place for a long time and we finally decided that today is the day! We had just finished a morning hike and had worked up an appetite. I ordered two fish tacos ... such a mistake. The fish was breaded and just tasted old. No fresh grilled fish here! Additionally, there was salsa added to the tacos. So there was cold salsa, cold cabbage, lukewarm fish and just a small amount of sauce. I've never had salsa on fish tacos before and it was just disgusting. I couldn't even touch my second taco which is a first for me. These are literally the worst tacos I've ever tasted. Such a disappointment. read more

I am sorry but I am just disturbed by this place. I thought it would be MUCH better and MUCH more "killer" but all I can say is "MEH" The tacos were somewhat expensive and the taste was super bland. I am not sure if this is something they are known for but I left wanting a thing called flavor. Parking is ok in the front, it is a clean restaurant, and there is bathrooms in the back of the building. Staple of old town Haleiwa. Some of the best post surf/beach food. Quick in and out. Also nice dining area to enjoy your food. I suggest Kalua pulled pork longboard with the works, make sure you get each of the salsas (they're delicious) and the spicy cream sauce. Best burritos/tacos on the north shore hands down! read more

Very poor service here. I had asked for ground beef crunchy taco and the kid serving immediately slapped a different meat on it. Before they could finish through the assembly line I asked if what was in the taco was ground beef and the kid looked in it briefly said yes. I told him that it didn't look like ground beef. After much thought, he finally realized it wasn't what I asked for and changed it. Now it may seem that this is a senseless complaint. However, this young kid very much snubbed the fact of my specific request then proceeded to act as if what was in the taco was what I had asked for when it wasn't. If you want a lot of really good food at a really decent price, this is the place to stop after a day on the North Shore beaches. We have never left disappointed in the quality or the quantity ! My personal opinions on what I've had (which is everything but the fish tacos): Beef filling: good, but it's beef ... Kalua pig filling: salty and delicious, but does have a little kick Chicken filling: my personal favorite - rotisserie chicken at it's best Salsa: not for me, really more like a tomato sauce IMO Chips: hit or miss, although more of a hit recently, can border on stale Chips and cheese: not their best value and see above Coconut rice: YES, please! You have to ask for it, though Beans: I prefer the refried to the black Guacamole: excellent Hot sauces: not for me, but my husband is a fan of the habanero Taco salads: generous portions, wish they had diced tomatoes Loaded nachos: see taco salads I usually let them "roll me a fatty" and go whole hog (well, whole chicken) with a long board burrito. My first time here and I was not sure the sizing of the tacos so I asked "how many do people usually get?" The girl looks me up and down and says "you should get one" with a judgy tone. This place has amazing tacos and burritos, etc. I got the lunch special of 3 tacos and a drink for about $10. I ordered two pork and one beef and the pork were my favorite! Beef was good too. I sampled their new Poke and boy was it fresh, seasoned to perfection and I can say confidently it's going to be a hit too! The staff is super friendly and generous and wow did I say the food was amazing!!! Taco shells are fried here in house and they have that perfect crunch and flavor! The meat is tender and juicy and flavorful. You won't be sorry you came here. This is now my new favorite spot. I live up here on the North Shore so you can bet I'll be back real soon! read more

After craving some Mexican food and reading their reviews I decided to give them a try. Boy did I regret it. If you like canned Mexican food, you are better off going to a Taco Bell.
