Very bad experience at Killer Burger on Potranco. I waited over 45 minutes for my order, and when it finally arrived, the burger was extremely cold. I had to complain to the manager, Ari, because it was unacceptable. While waiting, I ate a few fries, but then had to wait another 35 minutes just to receive my burger. At the very least, I should have been given a fresh order of fries along with a hot burger, but that did not happen. For how overpriced these burgers are, the quality and service were extremely disappointing. Overall, a very poor experience, and I will not be returning. read more

First time trying this place and we were both just...meh! We really expected the burgers to wow us, but we were pretty underwhelmed. Neither of us cared for the house sauce on the burger, and we both wanted a more robust beef flavor in the patty; we also felt the burger could have used a little more seasoning or salt, because the meat just seemed to be lacking that beefy "wow" we were looking for. On the other hand, the fries were pretty decent...crispy and browned on the outside, fluffy and light on the inside, and perfectly salted. Was it worth a return trip? I read the reviews and I have to agree. The customer service needs work, someone from corporate or an owner has to a do a better job with training. I mean the food is not bad. When your staff reeks of bad attitude and no manners, it makes your eating experience not so pleasant. It makes another wise decent meal feel cold. Now the we got that out of the way, the actual food. I actually loved my burger. I had the Jose Mendoza, and the midget had the purist. It's a tale of two different burgers. Was my burger the best in town, no. It is better than most fast food fare. All the ingredients made sense. It wasn't spicy, but has a zing to it. I would order it again. If you order the original size, it's hefty. It's a tad more expensive than fast food burgers, but not crazy expensive. I did feel the patty was under seasoned but couldn't tell with the amount of toppings in my burger. My son said his burger didn't taste like anything. I tried and he was right. There was zero seasoning on his patty. I mean as in no salt or pepper. I told him to use the sauce I order on it and it helped. So overall not bad. The reason for a three and not a four was the bad service. I truly hope someone is reading the reviews and willing to do something about it. WOW, Killer Burger's first location outside the Pacific Northwest is already making waves in San Antonio, and we were thrilled to experience their soft opening. This event was not just a meal; it was an experience. I attended with my cousin, and we had Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger and Motley Que. both were absolutely delightful--crispy, freshly well-seasoned fries and cooked-to-order burgers. Although the wait was noticeable, we didn't mind because the freshness and flavor more than made up for it. Even though there were small soft-opening quirks (like my missing Yelp Event freebie sandwich), the overall experience was fantastic. A special shoutout to the friendly Yelp representative who captured my receipt and promised to resolve the issue seamlessly. Also Daniel the manager made sure the issue in the missing bacon is sorted out, and fast. Killer Burger officially opens on Monday, November 18th, and I'm already planning my next visit once the crowds settle. This place is going to be a hit in San Antonio! read more

We had high expectations for a gourmet burger. Very nice place and ambience. The prices are what you expect for a high end burger spot. The service was slow and the cashier struggled. We tried to split the ticket and she charged the first CC the whole amount. The wait for the burgers was over 30 minutes. They also didn't have ice for the fountain drinks so we asked for ice. The taste on the burgers was great thus the 2 stars. The buns were really cold. The fries were good but were extremely hard. My wife ordered the small combo and her whole burger was really cold. This place has potential and has good food but the delivery and service is terrible. The Peanut Butter burger was a good combination. 50/50 that I give it another chance. Came back to try the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger but added cheese! I was shocked at the burst of flavor this combo makes! On my first visit, I saw it on the menu and thought nope sounds crazy. Once I tried it though, omg! I ordered a side of the peanut butter sauce but it was cold and the consistency was different. Cold, it was tasty but I took it home and ate it on crackers. This visit, I got it served warm and melted which really changes the flavor. I love that the pickles are sliced longways and the peanut sauce just pairs so well with them. Now, a bit of advice, you probably don't want to go out and get pickles and peanut butter(unless you're pregnant) the sauce there is better than plain peanut butter. I was surprised at the taste when it all meshed together, it was a party in your mouth type thing. The fries with their killer seasoning is also a great pairing and get the dill ranch to do your fries in. We tried the spicy sauce and it had a nice kick to it but dill ranch is my favorite. They have beer and a couple frozen drinks as well as Pepsi products , Dr. Pepper and Root Beer. We got a Honey hot chicken sandwich which had a good heat to it but I love burgers. Line is always long but it moves quickly. Definitely adding to my favorites. Restaurant is noisy but it's busy so that's a good thing for them. I didn't even have enough to eat with my burger, now I'm a bite and maybe 2 fry combo kinda girl and ran out before I finished my burger. The burger, the burger was good and the bun was soft and toasted, the meat had good flavor and all the fixings were all there for the party! The burger had crunch, it was savory and the kicker was that bbq sauce!!! That bbq sauce was the star of the burger, I opted out for it on my burger because I am not a big bbq sauce person but this sauce-this sauce had great flavor. The sauce was sweet at first and then it creeped up on you but nicely, like a good secret! Service was great, very friendly. We ordered the Classic Burger and the Bender burger and of course fries and drinks. Let me tell you, killer burger has THEE BEST SWEET ICED TEA I've had in a veeerrryyy long time!! It was super sweet and delicious!. If you can't tolerate super sweet you can dilute it with their unsweetened tea as well, a good half n half will be perfect or you can go with unsweetened altogether. The burgers were absolutely AMAZING! Very very good and the cook on them were perfection. The fries were seasoned very well and it brought everything together. We dined in and it didn't take long for our food to come out. This restaurant was about 40mins away from where we live but the drive was definitely worth it! and we will be swinging back by tomorrow lol. Heard all about Killer Burger coming to the far west side of San Antonio and it has finally opened! Visited within the first week of opening on a Thursday evening and there was quite a line to the entrance however the line moved reasonably fast! It was about 15 minutes until I made it to the front register however I do like that they give you the menu prior to ordering. The staff was very friendly when ordering and the food came out fast. My wife ordered the Classic which was packed with flavor seemed like a smash burger with cheese, sweet juicy pickles, and lettuce my wife held the house sauce so we missed out there and I ordered the Purist which included a thicker patty with cheese and bacon and ketchup and mayo! The meat was nicely seasoned and cooked to order and the fries were nice and crisp nicely salted. For beverages there is tea, Pepsi products and all kinds of syrups to make your soda dirty! The interior is nice ambiance black wall surrounding the restaurant with a nice mural painting on one side. Overall great burgers and excellent service will be sure to return highly recommend you give these burgers a try! read more

We went on opening night 11/18/24. The line was just outside the doors and we waited a little under 45 minutes for them to take out to go order. There were seats inside available but we were taking home for family that was not present to eat. The wait was not bad for opening night. The girl that took our order was not really sure about the menu and had to keep going to ask other people our questions like can we take off the bacon since every burger has bacon but we didn't want it and if the chile was hot, etc. We got one of their frozen non-alcoholic drinks (strawberry lemonade) and it was really good. The burgers were delicious and fresh. The Jose Mendoza burger had green chile on it and it was mild with some bites that packed a punch (not super hot but spicy). We ordered a side of fries and a shareable fry basket. They were ample size for two people and the single was perfect for one person. The only thing we didn't like was the fries were soggy and wet in the box when we got home (we live 5 minutes away) and so we didn't eat them. They would hopefully be good if you eat in the restaurant. They were good fries not the little pieces all at the bottom of the bag, which was a plus but like I said too wet to eat. All in all, 3 burgers, drink, and fries came to $56 and change. It was a little pricey but not that bad because the burgers were good. Our mistake was taking it to go. I went here with some co-workers and to be honest I have been looking forward to this place opening for a while and I was not disappointed. The staff were very polite and quick to service. And parking was very easy to find. The restaurant could have been cleaner but it was lunch hour and they were doing the best that they could. The place was packed. But now let's get to the star of the show. After much deliberation, I decided to settle on the Fun Guy burger with an order of fries. And holy crap! This is the best burger I think I have ever had in San Antonio. The meat Patty was absolutely delicious. Tons of flavor. But nothing in this burger overpowered any other ingredient? Everything somehow was the star of the show. The mushrooms were delicious and juicy. The cheese was gooey and very much present. The bacon was nice and crunchy but not burnt to a crisp. And there was enough bacon for every bite. The onions did its job well and weren't... soggy nor slippery. The pickles were awesome and the house sauce was dreamy. All my other coworkers enjoyed their food very much. And we had the surprise of being given a free peanut butter burger.
