Kiki's crew was working next door. They decided my apple tree had crossed the the boundary line by a few inches. I had it trimmed last year so it could not have been much. Frankly I don't think it was over the line at all. Regardless, it's fine to trim it, but tossing it into a pot of flowers 7 feet inside my side of the wall was very unprofessional. read more

This company and the owner, Kiki, are amazingly professional and good at what they do. I had a large tree in my back yard that was removed and the stump ground out. The only entrance to my backyard is through a small walkway between two walls, and these guys still got back there and removed a huge tree and ground it up. They trimmed two other trees in my front yard and ground out two other large bush stumps. My yard was spotless afterwards. The price was really good. The workers were respectful of my property. We hired Kiki's tree service to trim our very large tree in our back yard. It was growing into the power lines and over our roof and was looking unhealthy. They did a great job on the project. They showed up early on the arranged day and handled everything with such professionalism. When they hit a little snag and the power was knocked out temporarily, they called PNM and arranged to have it fixed. Then they called that evening to make sure we were happy with everything. Several people in my neighborhood have had good results from Kiki's tree service, so I called them for an estimate. Kiki came out and estimated the job at $400. The next week at the time we had scheduled, a group calling themselves Bonsai Tree Service showed up instead of Kiki. When they were done they said they didn't know what Kiki had estimated and gave me a bill that was three times Kiki's estimate. Kiki didn't tell me he was sending a different crew and he didn't tell the crew what the estimate was. I do not recommend Kiki's because of this. read more

My front yard tree was struggling this year so I called Kiki to help. I also needed a plum tree trimmed in my backyard. Kiki got me an estimate and a week later his crew was here. I'm very happy with how it came out. I wish I would have taken before photos but these are all after. They fertilized my front tree to help it along and trimmed back the plum tree. Kiki came to my house to remove a stump I had along my driveway. He was alone for this work. After sometime and when the grinder noise stopped, I looked out my front window and watched Kiki as he swept the bark chips from my driveway into the rocks on both sides of my driveway. I watched further and saw him sweep more chips into the street at the end of my driveway. I went out and showed him the mess he made in my rocks with dirt and bark chips all over. He said he had picked some up. I mentioned how Baca's Tree Service had laid down plywood to cover landscaping at a job I had hired them for. I said that even a couple of tarps could have saved my landscaping from the grinder. Nothing could save my landscaping from him sweeping debris into my landscaping. I wonder if he allows his employees to have the same poor work ethic and care for customer's property. read more

We had a monstrous ash tree in the front yard of our apartment building that appeared to be dying from the top down. We called Kiki. He came out, diagnosed the problem and recommended removal. We accepted his bid and got on his calendar. The day came, he and his crew arrived early and took that tree apart limb by limb and then ground out the stump. When they were done the yard was clean and level. His crew is polite, efficient, work hard and take a great deal of care to protect private property. His equipment from chain saws, to chipper, to boom lift, to stump grinder is top grade and well cared for. Great overall experience. We needed to have a huge AZ cypress tree removed. 3.5 ft diameter 40 ft tall. It was slowly dying and in danger of falling and take out half our house. It was located in a tight corner of the yard and spanned across 3 other yards. They came out and assessed the job and gave a very reasonable quote given the size and condition of the tree. They arrived right on time the day of removal and were done in about 4 hours. The were very meticulous and cleaned up the area well. I highly recommend. They are experts in what they do. read more

I waited FOUR weeks to try to get them to come out and do the work and could not wait any longer. I guess they were too busy with bigger jobs. Communication issues with them, also. Anyhow, I went with another licensed company who came out immediately and got my tree removal work done well. It also took TEN days to get Kiki to come out and give me an estimate.
