Done within a week of the estimate, pretty pleased with service (and getting quotes was a process - contacted 5 companies, 2 didn't show for estimate appointments, etc). Robert's workers arrived right on time. They had all the equipment they needed and got right to work. I had a large chitalpa in the backyard that was dying and needed to be removed as well as the stump ground up. Two large boxwood bushes in the front yard also needed to be removed. Robert came out and met me for an estimate and was very nice and likable. I had met with 3 other services and gotten quotes. I decided to hire Robert. On the morning of the scheduled service, his crew showed up at the house (with out Robert) and they did not have any idea what we wanted them to do and they struggled with speaking or understanding English. I called Robert and he said he was on his way. I expressed my concern with his crew not knowing what to do and his not being there. A few minutes later, Robert called back saying "We have gotten off on the wrong foot this morning." I expected him to apologize and we start fresh and get the job done. To my surprise, he said "we are not going to do this job." I was very disappointed with his lack of professionalism and disregard to the needs of his supposed customer. It all worked out, because we really appreciated the job the company we chose did for us. Needless to say, I would not ever hire him again and certainly wouldn't recommend his company. read more

Estimator came and made work list. At appointment time: no call/no show. 1/2 hour after job was to end they sent a subcontractor who was to remove saplings and cut down a tree at ground level. This was all written in the work order. They cut the saplings off at ground level and packed ground over them. A month later the saplings are 2 feet high. The tree stump in not ground level but 4" high. A detailed email to Robert was never answered. Save your money. read more

Robert came out and met with my 76 year old mother who had some clean up work she needed done in her yard after losing the last two people she had doing her yard, both of them worked for her for over 15 years. Robert's team came out and did the initial clean up as agreed but in the process he completely butchered two of my mom's plants, she isn't sure they will grow back. In addition, Robert agreed to come out twice a month on the 1st and 3rd week of the month. He was a no show every time. My mother would call late that day and he apologized and had a group of people out the next day to do the work. The third no show, my mom called and asked if he didn't have a calendar to keep track of his appointments. He rushed her off the phone and said he would call her back, and he never did. I did research from my mom and chose Robert's Trees based on high ratings on several sites. I'm not sure how he gets these ratings if this is how he does business. If he didn't want the job he should have just said so. read more

I used ROBERTS TREE SERVICE in 2014 when the service was good. I used them again last week. DO NOT USE ROBERTS TREE SERVICE. I had contacted them about removing trees from my 95 year old father, a WW2 Veterans yard. He was to drop the trees and cut them in rounds for easy removal and remove the limbs of the trees. He was to deal with me on Friday for payment when the job was done. When we got to town Thursday evening we drove by the house. It looked like a bomb had gone off. Fence and gate broke. Flashing torn off the garage. Trees and limbs laying all over the place. I was dumbstruck. Then I found out that he had gone into the house and been paid by my father when they left Thursday. He was not to do that! Friday I called seething. Robert told me they would be back when it warmed up later that day to finish. He mentioned fixing the fence and the flashing. Well, later never happened. I had to clean areas for my father to walk through. The sidewalk to the house was littered and not safe for my Dad. You couldn't get out through the back door. I spent 3 days throwing limbs and branches, raking and shoveling and moving tree trunks to make it safe for my dad. My next step is to call the local news stations, contact the Attorney Generals office and the City offices. read more

Cheap, and you get what you pay for. This company will cut every corner, must be supervised, and leave you with a marginal job. It's worth paying extra to get quality, trustworthy work. We had this "company" cut trees down, in the process they mangled other trees. They were supposed to bobcat and even out our yard, we have to get it re-done, still tons of rocks and not level. The company cut our internet line, it took a lot of work to get them to repair it, then they were supposed to dig the hole 2 feet deep and they dug less than a foot deep. They were supposed to put a temporary fence up and haul it off, they never hauled it off. They are many more complaints to this list. You will get a cheap bid but have to pay extra hiring professionals to fix their work. read more
