Large brush / tree limb removal. A picture and dimensions of this pile was sent to them. I was given an estimate for the removal within a day. I felt their estimate was quite competitive and reasonable when compared other trees services in the area. I live in Northern New Mexico. They came outside of their normal range to provide their services. When they were done with the job and a quick inspection by me, I was very impressed as to how picked up and clean they left the work site. I highly recommend American Tree Services. We had a stellar experience with American Tree services today. I can't recommend them highly enough! After getting estimates from three other companies, I decided to go with American Tree Services to cut and trim some of our problem trees. It wasn't just that American Tree services came in a good deal less than the other three on their estimate, although that was part of it I wont lie. It was also that these folks are my North Valley neighbors, and that their representative, Daniel was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I got a feeling this company would be great to work with, and I wasn't wrong. The crew showed up right on time. They were the nicest folks, who kindly offered to go the extra mile and do little extra things, like mulching some little piles of sticks and twigs I had lying around, and cutting one of my tree branches into chunks that I could use as a border for one of my garden beds. I was totally impressed with how friendly and businesslike Daniel and Bill were, and the whole crew made the removal of a couple of big trees quite enjoyable. After I made an appointment, they called and told me exactly when they'd be arriving, went way out of their way to solve a couple of problems I had with access to the project, did a little extra work that presented itself, finished more quickly than anticipated, cleaned up masterfully and were more than accommodating and friendly with an easy going can-do attitude. I don't like giving negative reviews. I had a tree that was suffering after landscaping and I asked Robbie , one of the owners to have the arborist look at it. the arborist said he thought it was fine and just trimmed a few branches, also suggested we put water spouts. They also trimmed a few branches from 3 other trees small trees about $350. We put water spouts at the roots which we paid a sprinkler company to do, approx $150. . That was in October and then in the spring, March and April the tree was doing terribly and a lot of the branches looked like they were dying. I tried several times to reach Robbie, finally I did and explained about the tree, Robbie said I better send out the other arborist. Was the first one, less experienced, not knowledgeable? The arborist came out and said, oh you need to move all those rocks away from the roots and give it fertilizer. (Afterwards, I researched and apparently that's a known thing that rocks will hurt tree roots. I don't know why the first arborist didn't know it) It would have been nice to know that back in October when I invested the money in the water spouts and the tree was not struggling so much. I asked to have the dead branches removed so the tree wouldn't struggle as much to recover and the arborist, Daniel, said someone would come next week and remove the branches. He said $250. I said, I already paid quite a bit for this tree in Oct. I said what if it dies completely, he said $700 to remove it. I said even if I paid to have it trimmed 2 x, thinking the tree was much smaller by then. He said yes $700. I said ok, trying to save the tree, I would have the dead limbs trimmed, and we would move the rocks give it fertilizer. He said someone would call to set up the trim.No one ever called or came, so after a week, I called Robbie the other owner, besides Daniel, who I originally spoke with, and he said. oh we are booking two weeks out. He agreed since I already paid in October to trim, they could trim the 6 branches for $150. I said, it's already been a week that I've waited, but ok, I'll wait two more weeks.So then I arranged my schedule for that day and time. On the day that they were supposed to come out to trim those branches, I got a call from Daniel, two hours before, saying , oh we're going out of town for four days and won't be able to do it. I can call you when we get back to set it up. I said, I've already waited three weeks now can't you do it before you leave, but he still wouldn't come before his trip. So then I called Robbie to complain. He said, well maybe you should pick another company. I said, that's no way to treat a customer, don't you care about reviews.... hoping they would come and do the work. It was only 6 branches.He just said, well maybe find another company. So I said I would write a review. So I must say, poor service, not dependable, not professional. I do not recommend this company. read more

These guys were great. I found them on here on Yelp. I got a few quotes.. andI had them come out to take a look. They gave me a quote right away and told me when they would be out. They came out as expected. I had an overburdened pyracantha tree.. that hadn't been trimmed in years. These guys took care of it right away and cleaned up after themselves.
