We were so impressed by their work I have already recommended them two times this week. We had a 50+ year old cottonwood in our back yard. The team came out and got 4 trees down, 2 trees cleaned out and had to completely remove one large stump for concrete prep. The team was awesome and very professional. Carlos came and gave me an itemize price. None of the others gave me an itemized price. JC were about $75. higher but I did go with them because of the itemized price. We scheduled a day and time. They were on time. I had 7 very large trees and they took care of them while also cleaning up as they went. Also a Bradford Pear that was out of control, a large Arbor Vitae that needed to be removed. They were efficient and super helpful. While they were not the lowest quoted estimate, they did respond promptly to the estimate appointment and follow up calls. There was n approx. 2-hr. delay in arrival for the actual job (it was after a holiday weekend so that is understandable), but Carlos kept me informed of the delay and the status of the job. The crew did a very good job trimming a large tree and taking out two smaller, troublesome trees. They called me out a couple of times to ask for my review of their work and clean up before leaving the site. They gave me valuable follow up precautions/info. All in all, a good job. I had JC Tree care come out to do some tree trimming for some trees on my property. I had used them in the past and was very happy with their work. On this occasion 2 men came to do the quoted work. They worked through the morning hours and took a break for lunch under one of the trees. After lunch both men got into one truck and one began smoking pot. I called the man who had issued the quote, I believe he is the owner, and informed him of what his employee was doing and that I wanted this employee to discontinue working that day at my property, as he was the one who was the "climber" in the duo of trimmers, and he also was not to drive the vehicle he came in which was a company truck, with a large piece of equipment in tow. The owner informed me that he would call the foreman and that the foreman would pull the guy smoking pot off the job. The tree trimming duo missed the call from the foreman, so the work started back up with the employee who wasn't fit for continuing the days work. I had to go and call out the employee to tell him that he was done for the day because of using pot while working with heavy equipment and driving. The owner apologized and said that he would not charge me the surcharge due to this issue nor would he charge me for chopping up the roots, as the equipment was broken and they couldn't do the chopping. Some other workmen that were installing a wall for me chopped the roots that day instead. However when he said what the amount was, it was the same price as the quote. I told him that it and he admitted to a mathematical error and removed the charge for the root chopping. I think JC trees care has the knowledge and expertise to trim your trees to be their healthiest. However, having employees who drive or use heavy equipment on your property and in close proximity to your neighbor's homes and families, may result in devastating consequences. It's not worth the risk to hire a company with employees who can't complete 4 hours of hard work without taking a hit. read more

We had two tall (over 35 feet) trees hanging over the house(s) pruned, and also had a tall tree removed. They did excellent work. Carlos (owner) communicated well and was prompt. Fast response, good service, quality work. The only downside was cost, higher than 3 other companies.

They came by quickly after calling for an estimate, but we had to wait two weeks before they could come by for the service. Trimmed and cut dead branches from two elms in front of our house. They were very nice and professional. Didn't make a mess, and left the branches for us in our front yard after asking if we wanted to keep the wood. About as much as we expected to pay.
