She barely looked at the dress, did not hear me out as to what I was wanting for the dress, just plain rude and barked at me with some generic response as if that is THE only solution. The came in for a minor alteration on my bridesmaid dress for the bust area. I was told to come back in 3.5 weeks to get it, and when I did, my dress wasn't even done. She told me to come back in an hour, which meant I now was going to be stuck in traffic. I came back an hour later and my dress was finally finished. However, she didn't even have me try it on. She just put it straight into a bag so I didn't see it before leaving the shop. When I got home and took it out, I noticed the following issues: 1. part of the dress had changed from black to navy blue (see pic for comparison) 2. she left the needle in my dress 3. some of the boning got crushed and misshapen 1 week before the wedding, I ended up having to buy a replacement dress because the issues could not be repaired. The price of the alteration was reasonable ($12), but buying a whole new dress ended up costing me another $100.

I took it to the tailor of the stars up in Beverly Hills, they couldn't do it as they had to have specific machines, so I took it to a custom Fur and leather coat maker in Beverly Hills & he was afraid to touch it! Everywhere I went they turned me away...About to give up I got a recommendation to try and go see the owner at golden needle & she worked her magic!!!! So I drove over 2 hours to see her I needed this altered for a very special occasion and sure enough not only was she so sweet and welcoming she measured me up in a jiffy and took and look and was the first person to confidently say No Problem! Let me tell you she is a master at her craft, it's beyond me! The piping, the layers, the embellishing it's like the skirt was never touched ! Wow she did an absolutely amazing job and I'll def be back! I wish she was closer to me. But if you live in San Diego or near by you are definitely lucky to have her in your area!! Tracy is an absolute miracle worker…read more I very last minute decided that my bridesmaid dress for my best friend's wedding needed an adjustment ~two~ days (do not recommend) before the wedding. I had a strong feeling that this was most likely not possible as most tailors are normally booked for weeks in advance and of course need time to make said adjustments! Nevertheless, I stopped by Elegant Tailor and Cleaners in pure desperation, really hoping that somehow it would be possible and boy did I get lucky! Tracy was able to do a complete turn around and have my dress ready in 2 days. Unbelievable. On top of that, she made it 10x more flattering than I could have possibly imagined! This was a very cheap Amazon dress that did not do me any favors but by the time that Tracy was done with it, you would have no idea. I could not recommend Tracy more, she was so kind, professional, quick and such a pro. Reasonable pricing as well! I will definitely be back.
