I called down to the Nordstrom in La Jolla to see if they could do an emergency fix for me since I bought the dress from there. They couldn't accommodate me. I started yelping for places around La Jolla and found Kiki's. I called, left a message and Tammy called me back within a few minutes. I asked her if she could fit me in if I dropped off the dress on Wednesday afternoon to be picked up Thursday at noon. She said no problem. I dropped off my dress that Wednesday. Tammy assessed the fix needed and had my dress ready to go by Thursday afternoon. What a lifesaver and what exceptional service. From there, I was given a time and address but once I arrived at the house, he didn't answer and no one was there to take my dress. After a few calls and texts, I was able to get ahold of Don but not until after I left. Fortunately, he reassured me this would get taken care of and sent me the next day to his seamstress/coworker Anna. I showed up to her place the next day and everything went smoothly after that. This review is mostly for Anna but she is AMAZING! I arrived at her place and she had a small studio in the back to let me try on my dress while she made the mock adjustments for my alterations. Communication with her was clear, reliable, and she was so sweet and accommodating because I needed my dress the next day. She was timely, professional, and really friendly. When I tried again in the afternoon, he gave me an address and said his sister is helping him and will meet with me. Went to the home and the man introduced himself as Don so I was so confused. He said a business partner is sending him leadals, maybe that is Don? The woman (Loan) was very sweet who did my alterations. Anyway, whoever I ended up being sent to was ok but it wasnt Don and cant find her listing to leave a review there. Leaving this here so others are aware they may be sent elsewhere instead of Don. The alterations for 2 jackets were ok. One jacket was perfect but the other was looser and not quite as tailored. Price was cheaper than standard so I was not too upset, you get what you pay for.
