The came in for a minor alteration on my bridesmaid dress for the bust area. I was told to come back in 3.5 weeks to get it, and when I did, my dress wasn't even done. She told me to come back in an hour, which meant I now was going to be stuck in traffic. I came back an hour later and my dress was finally finished. However, she didn't even have me try it on. She just put it straight into a bag so I didn't see it before leaving the shop. When I got home and took it out, I noticed the following issues: 1. part of the dress had changed from black to navy blue (see pic for comparison) 2. she left the needle in my dress 3. some of the boning got crushed and misshapen 1 week before the wedding, I ended up having to buy a replacement dress because the issues could not be repaired. The price of the alteration was reasonable ($12), but buying a whole new dress ended up costing me another $100.

I brought it in on Saturday afternoon and needed it ready by Monday at 10:00 AM. Not only did she complete the alterations on time, She also steamed and pressed it beautifully. The total cost was only $85, which was significantly less than the quotes I received from other tailor shops especially of it being rushed. The other places I contacted were also unfriendly, while she was incredibly kind, accommodating, and understanding. I was very nervous that I wouldn't have my dress ready in time for the wedding, but she made it happen. When I arrived to pick it up on Monday morning, September 14, the shop was quiet and no one appeared to be inside but The door was unlocked, and after calling out a few times with no response, I started to panic. Then I spotted my dress hanging neatly by the mirror. The moment I saw it, I felt so relieved. The hem had been perfectly adjusted to my height, and the dress was beautifully pressed and ready to wear. Since the wedding was starting at 11:30 AM, it was a very close call. I tried it on immediately, and it fit flawlessly. I had already paid for the service when I dropped it off, so I quickly left to head to the venue. In the rush, I accidentally left behind the clothes I had changed out of and had to come back to grab them. Since we were running out of time, I stayed in the car while my son went inside. As we were leaving, she came outside and waved goodbye to us. That simple gesture meant so much, and I waved back, feeling incredibly grateful.
