Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake was a really cool adventure for my kids. They loved all aspects…read moreof it! The adventure starts with a phone call. This isn't the type of adventure you can show up to on a whim. You have to schedule a visit in advance. I scheduled a date and time over the phone. They took my credit card info, a contact number and my kids' names. The first date I scheduled was cancelled due to inclement weather. Pirate Adventures called and cancelled the adventure about three hours prior to when it was supposed to start. I elected to reschedule right then. I was instructed to arrive a half hour before our adventure so the kids could get their faces painted and pick out a sash. We parked on the street a few blocks away not realizing they have a parking lot. We checked in, the kids were given name tags with their name and an alliterative adjective (ie Zig Zag Zora and Kung Fu Kieran) and then reported to the face painting and sash picking area. After face painting kids and adults boarded the boat and the Chesapeake part of the adventure began. The captain went over a few safety measures with the adults while his assistant went through guidelines with the kids. The adventure has a whole story with different parts involved that kept the seven kids on our adventure entertained. Ages ranged from probably three to fourteen. These parts included a map search, treasure hunt, key finding expedition, pirate fight and a final pirate bounty quest. For the adults, we just hung out under a shaded portion of the boat. I got up to interact with my kids a few times and to snap some pictures. Mostly I just enjoyed the boat ride. The whole adventure lasted almost two hours (counting face painting). If you have kids that love to pretend and don't mind riding a boat, Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake might be right up their alley.

I signed up for a pop up adult watercolor class this evening, making holiday cards. It was a great…read moreexperience. Each person's station was set up and well-supplied. The instructor, Cat, gave a demonstration of various watercolor techniques and then turned us loose to experiment a bit and then to make our own holiday cards. She circulated around the tables, gave feedback, and made suggestions. The location is easy to find and there is off-street parking right outside I will watch for more classes here.

Highly recommend and he can't wait to return. Their staff/art teachers (Ms. Kat and Ms. Montana) plus the owners (Allison is one) are genuinely amazing and you can tell art is their passion and working with kids.

Every Saturday the staff focuses on a new gymnastics activity so the kids are never bored, in between activities the kids have free time and they can play on the playset, jump on the trampoline, jump in the ball pit etc. We just celebrated my son's 3rd birthday @ My Gym and the kids & parents had a great time, playing various activities like parachute popcorn ball bounce, jumping in the bounce & enjoying a puppet show, definitely the place to celebrate your kids birthday as we didn't have to lift a finger, the staff does everything for you, entertaining the kids, serving pizza & drinks and cutting and serving the cake. Finally, I have to mention the staff, My Gym in Annapolis has the best staff, Ms. Ashley, Ms. Brittany & Ms. Kayla are the most nicest & attentive people you'll ever meet, they connect with your child as if they've known you guys for years.

It was a fantastic kid based introduction to sport fishing, conservation, and ecological education. I have been going to this business for years and have now been to all 3 locations. The people working here are very friendly and helpful. The location of Quiet Waters is awesome, very serene place. Severna Park Golf Center consists of an 18 hole miniature golf course, a driving range and a nine hole, par three golf course. The golf center also has a small pro shop and a deck for hosting private parties. The Severna Park Golf Center has been in business for decades and it shows its age a bit. The miniature golf course is fun but the holes are set amongst a barren landscape of rocks. There is also a water feature that has seen better days. You won't find a cheesy theme like you would at the beach or a lush landscape like you will in Pasadena. The driving range is also basic. A good portion of it is covered with ceiling fans but the fans seem to be broken. To enjoy the driving range, buy your balls inside the pro shop and then take your ticket down the steps to the range machine to fill your basket of balls. I have not played the three hole, par three course but it looks like a great place to learn how to play golf or to just have fun with 9 holes, 6 beers and 3 clubs. The longest hole is 125 yards so leave your drivers in the car. Also, watch out for range balls that sneak out of the range. Fore! Although dated and a bit run down, I do like how casual Severna Park Golf Center is. You don't need matching name brand clubs and there isn't a dress code so hackers are welcome! This is a good spot for families, dates and groups! Bottom Line: A very basic golf center but it's cheap and convenient to the Severna Park-Arnold Ritchie Highway corridor. The Pasadena Golf Center is a really nice place to expend some energy and have some fun on the miniature golf course, at the covered and heated driving range or in the multi-speed softball and baseball batting cages. There is ample parking, a little pro shop and room to have a birthday party. I personally was very impressed with the well designed, appropriately landscaped and challenging miniature golf course. The 18 Hole astro turf course has a lot of variety to it and I love that the landscaping is very appropriate for the Chesapeake Bay region. There are fountains, water features, water falls, grassy knolls and cat tails. The landscaping stakes you feel like you are teeing off in the marshes surrounding the Chesapeake Bay watershed. I ergs only don't miss the cheesy Happy Gilmore-ish clowns and pinwheels here! This is a really nice place for families, dates and groups!
