Came to check out my reviews and update any that's needed to be updated. My review from 4 years ago that outlined my experience at this location has been requested to be removed by the owner Michelle of Impressionable Years. I have had friends who tried this daycare before talking and during conversations found very similar events that I experienced. I asked what daycare were they talking about to find out it was Impressionable Years. I'm highly disappointed in Yelp for removing an honest post and will continue to voice what I went through and continue to hear what's happening today.

My LO enjoying the outdoor playground at IY!

We will be with them for the long haul and will be a little disappointed when all of the kids are out of daycare.

I couldn't handle the treatment of my daughter anymore so I pulled her right away. unorganized mess too.

We have recently relocated to the area and initially called about availability on 2/3/23, before we had even closed on our new home. At that time, we were told that our son would be placed on the wait list to join their pre-k class. Fast forward about 6 weeks, to 3/16/23, and I called to follow up to find that he was initially placed on the wrong wait list. I was told that he would be added to the right wait list and that we could expect a call to schedule a tour by 3/24/23. We never received that call, so I followed up on 3/28/23, just as directed. I was told at that time by whoever was working the phone that the director was not in that day but that she would leave her a message and that I should expect to hear something back within the next day or 2. I followed up yet again on 3/30/23; the phone was answered by the same individual again, stating that she gave the director our message upon her return to work on 3/29/23 and that we should be hearing from her soon. Fast forward another ~2 weeks and 4 attempts at calling since and now no answer/response at all. As mentioned above, this has set our daycare search WAY behind, and we now have to wait another ~8 weeks for a spot to open up elsewhere. If you value your time and prompt, or even reasonable feedback, I would certainly recommend looking elsewhere! I guess you get what you pay for and their competitive pricing doesn't get you much.

Tucked away in a family oriented neighborhood with the city's police right down the street, I have peace of mind and happiness sending our son to this school. The most important thing about this school is that it makes our son happy, which matters most.

We were comforted by being able to through the live camera how attentive the teachers were to his needs. They held him when necessary, sang to him and comforted him until he got acclimated with the environment. Our child looks forward to going to school, learning new skills/things, playing with friends and being nurturing by his teachers.

Apparently this place has been open since February but I never knew until flags and signs were posted on 175 (aka Annapolis Road) telling of this place. I pass this area multiple times and never knew this place was back there. So maybe with Yelp more of you will discover this place. The place is very new and very clean with an open area for performances. Remember this is owned by a church so no twerking. Well maybe a little. I went with a fish (whiting) platter that comes with a choice of two sides and a drink. On this day I went with the unusual combination red beans and rice along with mac n cheese. The platter comes with three fish and trust me the mac n cheese is no out of the box stuff. The red beans and rice was good but it had a bit of sweetness to it. Still it was good with plenty of bits of sausage in it. One thing I noticed is that the platter came with no bread. For some of you it will not be a big deal but for me it is a staple in fish dinners..........along with hot sauce. The fish was good and cooked once I ordered but I think it could have used more seasoning. Not a bad place and it offers a little extra diversity here in Odenton. If you get an urge to grab some food from here don't come on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday as they are closed.

On my first visit, I popped in to grab a bite before a meeting to prevent hanger from setting in. I ordered the fish sandwich and it comes with fries. Now being fond of fish I know fresh fish when I am served it. I truly believe that this was last night's fish warmed up for me. Oh how I longed for that sizzling pant that freshly fried fish embodies. On this occasion I think a lil microwave magic occurred. Hold on while I bow my head in sadness. Ok, I'm back. I get it, you can't just throw away food if business is slow but you're guaranteed to lose a customer serving leftovers and hoping they just go along with it. First impressions are fragile as they can make or break a person's decision to patronize an establishment again. This wasn't a terrible visit but given that they are new and making adjustments I may go again but fish won't be my choice. The portion was respectable and the server was very accommodating. Parking is plentiful and they have free wi-fi for customers. They have a huge projection screen tv to watch as you dine. It's a little confusing when you initially walk in and want to order to go. There are no counters so you'll just have to just get someone's attention or be seated and wait.

She started when she was just 2 years old, and as an only child, she has flourished in ways I never imagined within just one year. The facility is super clean. Cleanliness is so important for preschoolers, and Goddard takes it seriously. But it's not just the space that's clean--the staff are cheerful, professional, and genuinely happy. And happy caregivers mean happy children. If you're a parent who sometimes struggles with "mom guilt" like I do, you'll appreciate that Goddard provides a real breakfast. Not just a snack, but a hearty morning meal. It takes the pressure off when mornings don't go as planned and you missed breakfast that morning. Goddard is not a daycare--it's a preschool. I didn't fully understand the difference until my daughter started here. The teachers are amazing, the leadership team is respectful and professional, and the owner is warm, approachable, and lovely to speak with. When I moved to the area, I toured more than a dozen childcare facilities, and while many were just "facilities," none came close to the level of care, professionalism, and joy at Goddard Gambrills. On the occasional morning when our toddler decides she does NOT want to go to school that day, I can usually hear her tears turn to laughter before I even leave the building. We enjoy their frequent, clear communication as well as their hours, campus equipment, and the various specialty activities that they offer such as a yearly Saturday pool party or pajama days. Staff go out of their way to assist with difficult transitions and they even show up to birthday parties when invited! I was a sceptic of the Montessori based curriculum but after seeing my kids make huge progress, love learning and teaching us things they learned, and really THRIVE, I am an avid believer. Being a working parent is great, you get to see what your kid is doing in school and how much they like it, but it's also a security to know there is always another parents eyes in the classroom. The 3 class is a great transition into school. Even if one kid needs hugs during class, that's your job. It's great to know the toddlers get the one on one that they need until they settle. Also is a good structure to enforce potty training, lots of potty breaks for those who need to be prompted. Already put a deposit down for next fall! Couldn't have hoped for more in a personal feel for a preschool.
