We absolutely intend to send our daughter to WLCN as well, as soon as she is old enough for the 2s class. My husband and I thoroughly researched all the co-op style schools in the area, visiting as many as possible and WLCN stood out to us from the rest right from the beginning. We were able to visit and stay through an entire day of school to really see how the school functioned and observe the teachers with the students, while most other schools either only allowed observation of class through a window or held open houses outside of class time. It was so helpful to get a real feel for what a day at school consisted of. Not only did we love the passion that the talented teachers all possessed, but we were highly impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere, the play-based curriculum, and the cleanliness of the school. All the teachers, parent volunteers, and other families involved at WLCN were so open and helpful once we joined the school - they immediately felt like a second family. Lots of things have changed since the Covid-19 pandemic began, but through it all, WLCN's teachers have continued to be there for us, providing as much virtual content as possible to help the children continue to learn despite the school closures at the end of the year. They never cease to amaze me! We love WLCN and look forward to our children continuing to learn, grow, and thrive there in the upcoming years!

Obviously every…read moreparent has their own list of "wants" and "needs" when shopping preschools - their own list of the features that are most important to them. Most importantly for my wife and I was to find a school where our 2-1/2 year-old would be happy, learn social skills, and would learn the fundamental skills needed to function in a classroom setting (preparation for kindergarten). It was also critical that we find a place where we would never feel guilty or apprehensive about dropping our kids off at school. We found all this and more at Hilltop. The most important things to note about Hilltop are... Small School - There are two classrooms and each one has a max of roughly 15 children. Small classes means lots of one-on-one interaction with the teachers, which any educator will tell you is extremely beneficial (especially for young children). Learning Activities - It is a school after all - so it's pretty important that they follow a really well-conceived philosophy and educational curriculum. Every day we receive notes from the teacher about what our child learned that day, sample assignments he worked on, etc. Low Staff Turnover - At other schools and daycares we've witnessed a constant churn of teacher turnover. The teachers at Hilltop have been there for years and are part of the fabric of the school. Family Atmosphere - So many families have their 2nd or 3rd children enrolled, so we've gotten to know each other and have formed great friendships. When I drop my son at Hilltop it feels like I'm leaving him with close friends/family. Credentials - Hilltop is accredited by the MD Board of Education and each teacher and staff member has all their MD creds (I'm not that familiar with all the credentials, so you'd have to check with them for more info on this). Secluded Location - While the school is right off Rt 108 in Clarksville (near the River Hill shopping center) it's also tucked away behind a Methodist church. Its location is nice for security reasons - and there's also something nice about being on a church campus. What more can I say? We are a Hilltop family and absolutely recommend this preschool to anyone trying to make the difficult decision of where to send your child for preschool.

I can speak for my husband and I when I say how absolutely THRILLED we are with Kiddie Academy. Our daughter has grown developmentally in both academics and socially since her starting at KA. Our daughter LOVES going to school every morning and I can see why. When I drop her off, we are greeted by the same friendly staff members every morning which makes me feel at ease. My husband and I look forward to the daily communication via an app and email where we receive pictures and videos throughout the day. At pickup, we get a daily detailed report of everything she did from what she ate, her bathroom schedule, to the curriculum that was touched on that day. We cannot wait to see how much our daughter grows there in the future!

They have wonderful seasonal events, theme weeks in the summer, and lots of opportunities for fun. My very small feedback is that sometimes it was hard to communicate about supplies needed like diapers or changes of clothes, and sometimes we had to wait a while at pick up. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone. From our first contact with the owner, Mrs. Shazia, we knew this was the preschool of choice for our family. Our son had been attending another preschool the prior year and while he enjoyed it, as did we, he would come home sick every other week. We could barely keep up with all the illness. With a new baby on the way, we could not take a chance with unnecessary sicknesses. We expressed our concerns and how important the sanitary conditions of the preschool was to us and the owner assured us her school was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each school day. Needless to say, our son has yet to catch anything and it is clear that Miss Shazia and her assistant take the kids health very seriously. Aside from this, her curriculum is top notch and my son has learned a great deal while attending. He comes home each day with schoolwork and crafts he has completed throughout the day. The activities Miss Shazia puts together for her class are fun and they inspire creativity. During each day, we get pictures and texts detailing how our son spent his day. It brings my husband and I such peace of mind having our son attend this preschool. Miss Shazia and her assistant are truly invested in the preschool and in the children that attend it. They care tremendously for each of the kids and the kids experiences while there. If you are seeking a warm and loving environment for your child, this is the place to be hands down!

I looked at all the options I had for childcare - in home nanny, other home daycares and other facilities in the area. Out of all the options, my husband and I found Clarksville Daycare to be the best choice for our daughter. The daycare is spacious, has tons of toys, has great hours, isn't crowded and is in a very safe neighborhood. Noshaba, the daycare provider, gave my husband and I a tour of her daycare and answered all our questions during the tour and by text afterwards. As new parents in a pandemic, we were very worried about the possibility of our child getting the virus. However, Noshaba is very cautious in regards to COVID. She takes the proper actions and precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy. Her daycare has tons of toys and lots of space for the kids to enjoy. My daughter gets so excited to go in the morning and she can't stop smiling from ear to ear when she sees Noshaba! I can't say enough good things about Noshaba. The staff is wonderful and treat all the children as their own. We are so glad we found this gem within our community without paying private school/Montessori prices.
