Ms. Robyn is One of a Kind…read more We are beyond grateful for the love, care, and dedication Ms. Robyn has poured into our child and our family. From the moment we stepped into her facility, we felt a sense of warmth, safety, and genuine care. Ms. Robyn treats every child as if they were her own, creating a nurturing environment where children thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Our son, Chace, began showing remarkable developmental milestones under her care. By the age of one, he had a vocabulary of 25 words, could independently identify all 26 letters, numbers 1-10, and 8 colors. Thanks to Ms. Robyn's incredible curriculum and hands-on teaching, Chace entered kindergarten fully prepared; reading, writing, and more. Her attention to nutrition is also unmatched. Ms. Robyn prepared gourmet, well-balanced meals that introduced our children to new and diverse foods, cultivating healthy eating habits from a young age. As a first-time mom, I cannot overstate how much Ms. Robyn supported me personally. She was there for the tears, the questions, the worries and always responded with kindness, encouragement, and wisdom. She didn't just care for my child; she cared for me, too. Ms. Robyn's facility is immaculately clean and maintained to the highest standards. Even during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, there were no outbreaks, a testament to her diligence, safety measures, and care for every child's well-being. Most importantly, Ms. Robyn makes you and your child feel like part of her family. Her home is filled with love, structure, joy, and learning. We will always be thankful for the foundation she gave our child and the peace of mind she gave us as parents. Ms. Robyn, thank you for everything. You are truly a gift.

I have two children enrolled at Open Arms in Laurel since 2011. I had a nanny for my oldest till he…read morewas 3 years old and then place him a daycare setting and my youngest stayed with the nanny. Then the following year I placed my second child. I loved my nanny but I wanted my kids to have the social skills and interaction daily with other children before they started kindergarten. I checked out many daycare facilities in the area and also near my employment and by far this was the best. This was one of the hardest decision in my life to leave my child in care of someone I did not know for years. I was a nervous wreck, my husband kept telling me let him go he will be fine and I just wanted to scratch his eyes out, if you know what I mean. I will never forget just enrolling him there I cried, then Ms. Helen comforted me and said he will be fine. She truly gave me a sense of calmness and still does at this crucial stage in their lives. I hung around with the teachers the first few days and he cried but the teachers where very understanding with me and my son. Well it's been a over four years and my kids love it. They are in the before and aftercare programs now. Throughout the years, they have very much enjoyed it there and so have I. They have gone on field trips and love riding the bus. They do a lot of extra activities during the holidays and all year long. They were in choir, have Halloween parades, Easter Egg hunts, book fairs, Christmas plays you name it. The children transition from different classrooms as they get older just like a school setting so everyone knows you and your kids. I loved this because I got to know all of them as well. The classrooms are designed by their age level and the teachers use a learning curriculum as they advance. The teachers are ALL excellent Natalie, Keisha, Martha, Andrea, Nicolas, Lillian, Ebonique, Nikki just to name a few are great. I have never had one bad experience with a staff member, this speaks loudly of how well Rachael the director runs her school. Many have formal education in child care studies and a variety of educational backgrounds. I have gotten to know them throughout the years. This speaks loudly of the staff they employ. This is a Christian based school setting which teaches God's words, I was brought up with Christian beliefs and very much enjoyed learning that their teachings have the same values as mine. My children have learned so much their and this was an excellent choice to begin their formal education. I highly recommend this daycare if you are contemplating putting your child in a daycare environment.

Miss Maria and Caroline are the best. We receive a sheet every day that track her feedings, diaper changes, naps, and everything. They also send us pictures throughout the day of our little girl. Alice's true authentic Montessori school was warm and inviting. Unfortunately due to distance from us we decided may not be the best fit, but assure any parent her attention to detail and sections for children to focus on math, cursive, and art was nothing less than a beautiful display. The children are able to water flowers and do arrangements, have access to beautiful grounds and nature. Highly recommend and if location / travel time from where we live in Columbia was more feasible would have enrolled our daughter. A must for any parent looking for AMI teaching!!!

Finding that all together is hard, but also so important. My toddler loves and is benefiting from practical life work, and so needs the grace and courtesy and independence that great Montessori primary programs can foster. I'm so, so grateful that Apple Ridge and Ms. Alice are here for him.
