She also did not speak English before starting daycare but now she has no trouble communicating in English with Ms. Chandra and her friends. She has learned all the alphabets, can count in English and Spanish and knows so many rhymes. She can even spell her name, which is pretty amazing for her age. She brings artwork from the daycare almost every day and we have noticed her drawing and coloring skills have improved significantly. Now she is learning to write the alphabets and numbers. We had reported to school the next day and the teacher didn't tell the truth until we told we were watching. We had reported to their district manager and child service in government. But the teacher who hurt him was still working there before we changed school. Actually not only my son, his little friends had suffered similar experiences that I saw. That teacher disciplined kids almost everyday! I doubt her profession, because kids were reading books alone just before discipline. During play the children were learning. The center reaches out to parents and gives the parents tools to help at home as well with educational growth. The center enforces healthy meals and snacks, ensures proper hand-washing of the children constantly to prevent the spread of germs, and the security protocol implemented is comforting, knowing that my children are safe when I leave them in their care. I was extremely nervous because my child wasn't going to be in the care of a family member any longer. When my daughter started, she knew her ABCs, numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. A couple of months later, my daughter was writing, reading and able to sound out words she did not know. She also learned how to count to 100+ and add and subtract! I was actually blown away with all she learned in such a short period of time. In addition, because the class is small each child receives enough 1 on 1 time with the instructor, Ms. Millis. Ms. Millis, is a wonderful teacher. Under her care and teaching, the little ones are not only very well educated they are also taught the love of God. My child is now an early entrance student and scored 99% in all categories (reading, writing, math) to be accepted to Kindergarten. I'm so proud of my daughter and I am so thankful that we found this school!
