We've been coming here for years. They have fun airplane and car themed seats for kids and a separate section for "older" kids (or adults!). They also have tablets the kids can watch while they are getting their hair cut. One of my daughters had her first haircut here and they gave an adorable certificate along with a little piece of her hair for us as a keepsake. After the haircut, kids can get a lollipop and something fun from the treasure box! I love that I can book the appointments right online and given the location, there is plenty of parking available. read more

This place is bananas! A perfect salon for children; they have cars that the kids sit inside, they have entertainment that keeps your child's head in the right direction, it is cheerful inside- toys for sale line the walls. They also give a prize to your child when the haircut is done. We will definitely be coming back. The only issue I have is there isn't a good waiting area for parents, but I'm sure they tried this and it went to hell. read more

We won't be returning. I rushed my kids here for the first time today, battling traffic. We walked in clearly rushing, 7 minutes late and we were met by shaming from the front desk person telling us there was no opportunity to be seen due to our being late. Both hairdressers were available - no one else was here - and they wanted to work with us, so thankfully they cut their hair against the front desk's wishes. She stated my kids' haircuts would need to be rushed - we replied, no problem. Btw, no other customers entered and no one waited while their hair was being cut. We were done in 10 minutes. Their haircuts look great, so it's a shame that this is how the front desk operates. As a busy parent working full-time and navigating camp schedules and traffic, the last thing I need is a guilt trip when I'm hustling to get where we need to be. Kindness prevails in a customer service business. read more

They were mean and made our child cry. The manager told us on the phone they only had one appointment, but could probably squeeze in our second child for a quick cut. All he wanted was to feel like he was getting a haircut like his brother - even 2 snips of his bangs would have been fine. The stylist rushed through my baby's first-ever haircut to give his brother a minute. When it was his turn, he got into the chair - and then the manager said he had to get out. The stylist was clearly lobbying for just a very brief interaction, but the manager still refused. It would literally have taken less time to be kind and snip his bangs than it took to argue about it. The manager cared more about being rigid than about being kind, even when it delayed other customers and cost them a sale. I didn't buy a toy because of I don't want to support a place that is mean to kids. and I won't come back. It ruined my baby's first haircut and my older son cried the whole ride home. read more

Love this place! Scheduled a haircut for my little guy and we were running late to the appointment so we called them to give them a heads up that we will be less than 5 mins late. They were super understanding and when we arrived, they took our temperature and then showed us the chair my son will be getting a haircut at. My son is under 2 and does not wear a mask yet so the hair dresser went and put on protective googles as an additional means of protection and I appreciated that because it's for all of our safety. My son HATES getting a haircut so I was fully prepared for a full blown breakdown from him haha. Barely got him in his car for his haircut and even then had to distract him with my cellphone because he wasn't crazy about the iPad right away. Once he became comfortable with the iPad, the hairdresser started cutting his hair. He started crying so I literally had to pop a squat to hold him down because he wanted to get out. The hair dresser worked super swiftly to cut his hair as quickly as she could. I was covered in his hair but no big deal because this was a small price to pay to cut his hair. The hairdresser offered me her roller to get out all of the hair on me which I really appreciated- that was a very kind gesture on her part. You could tell this woman (who's name btw did not get) was a seasoned pro because she moved like a cheetah! She did an amazing job considering who the client was and all of his tantrums. My son cried the entire time but that's to be expected, he hates haircuts and I am just grateful that the hairdresser did not get hurt because he was wiggling so much. I love his haircut and I can't wait to go back again! Not one hair on his head is the same length, and less than a week later, the hair on the crown of his head will NOT lay flat down. All of the uneven hairs just stick straight up to the heavens. The front is just as bad. I had previously posted a review with detailed account of our recent visit but management had requested that I reconsider and that another client saw things differently from her seat and felt bad for the stylist. After thinking about our experience, I am updating the review: There was big difference between our 2 visit experiences (previous hair cuts for my twins with Julia vs recent haircut with Lisa) and I was the same person both times (friendly, following instructions, and helpful with a smile). If you don't want to cut someone's hair just say it initially. 1st visit: Julia did a good job with my kids and made us feel welcomed. Kids cried since they are babies. I wanted to come back since the first experience here was very good. 2nd visit: Kids cried they are still under 1.5 years old. Frowning, smirking, and belittling your client/kids isn't acceptable. If you can't handle it let the customer know. 1. I didn't leave this salon upset, I left this salon in tears while holding my child after how poorly I was treated by their stylist and later by their management. I was told by the stylist with a smirk that "You should go back to the previous stylist" and very rudely by the management that "maybe this is not the right salon for your kids haircut" 2. The 'other client' was no where near our station and herself or her kids weren't the ones getting treated poorly/disrespectfully. 3. Instead of giving excuses, try to improve customer service experience for all clients. read more

Honestly, there is too much variation between the basic skills of each stylist to even bother for this tired mom to come back. I told the stylist that my daughter was growing out her hair, cut the least amount of hair off, then add layers in the back to reduce 5 yo bedtime matting. What I got was about an inch cut off and layers in the front that match my daughters bangs' length. I told the stylist this was not what I asked for and it was too short. Didn't want to say more to not influence my daughters reaction . Called the store back and was listened to and offered a haircut fix (which I was baffled by, why would my daughter want more hair off? Amalia at KidSnips is so amazing with our 2 year old son Isaiah. She is kind, understanding, quick, and she does fantastic work. He had his first haircut with her when he was one. You can tell she's spent a lot of time with little ones. He looks so great when she cuts his hair. I wish it were less expensive. $22 for a kids' haircut. I sometimes cut it myself or take him to a cheaper place, but I end up coming back to KidSnips because the quality and experience is so much better. read more

Attractive seating for toddlers and young kids alike. iPads where the kids can play games or watch an episode of something. What I don't like is that the entire place is an overpriced toy store. Rosa at kid snips is the only person allowed to cut my kids hair! My little boy Charbel tends to be afraid when he gets his haircut causing all previous stylists finish through and hack away at his hair. Rosa was very patient and and very thorough. She made sure the entire haircut was complete. She treated his haircut the same as if she was cutting an adults hair. I had to knock off a star because I have had stylists there give my kids bad haircuts so I will definitely be sticking with Rosa. This is an excellent place to take your kids for a haircut. They provide iPads TV toys and fun carts for them to sit in as they they get their haircut. The children can get to choose one small tinker toy at the end of each haircut. Have had about 4 haircuts here, half good half absolutely awful. My husband took our son today and he looks like someone went at him with hedge clippers. Unfortunately the shortest part of the cut is so short in front that we can't fix it unless we buzz his whole head. It's totally zig-zagged uneven. Just in time for pictures with our new baby. The last cut was terrible as well. Three stars because the first two were great. Maybe there's just a couple bad stylists. read more

I have been taking my son to KidSnips in Edens Plaza for about 9 months, he got his first salon haircut here and while his 1st was fine, we found Stella on his 2nd cut and have been going to her ever since! We have even waited a week to get in just to see Stella because she is the BEST! She has a knack with the kids, parents and even grandparents! I took my daughter for a trim and she also wanted bangs. I explained to the salon staff when I set up the appointment that I needed someone experienced in cutting curly hair. While my daughter loved browsing the toy and hair accessories section, the haircut experience itself left her feeling sad. The stylist said that they do not have wide-toothed combs in the shop. She told me that they do not stock leave-in conditioner. And she suggested that I take my daughter to a salon "in the city" because they will be able to do her "kind of hair." I told the stylist to skip the trim and just do the bangs then. I explained to her that when she cuts the bangs, she should not stretch out the hair because once it shrinks back up, it will be too short. She said, "Okay. I'll do my best." And then she stretched the hair out anyway and cut it. So the bangs shrank back up and were entirely too short. Receiving a toy from the "treasure chest" on the way out did little to assuage my daughter's hurt feelings. KidSnips had been highly recommended by other moms I know and on North Shore Facebook groups that I joined when we relocated to the area, so I was surprised by the lack of basic salon tools and products as well as by the suggestion that my daughter's hair was the problem. read more

As for the receptionist in the front she was beyond rude to my children as well as myself ! I like coming here for my son's haircuts. They are super patient and I love that they use a tablet to distract their kids. I have had 2 stylists and they both take their time making sure my son looks nice. They had a first haircut package where you got a lock of his hair and a photo. The salon is also part toy store. The toys they sell do not seem to be of the best quality, have lots of small parts, and are overpriced. I would skip them. read more
