Beth is ALWAYS the best, she gave my son his first hair cut and we have never gone anywhere else since. Beth is so kind and patient with our 2 yr old. Beth is known throughout our family. Thank you Beth!!! read more

My wife took our 4 year old daughter here to get a haircut. She was just supposed to get her bangs cut a little. They cut the bangs so far back that she looks like she has a mullet! Mind you she is a calm child therefore there is no excuse, as she did not move around during her haircut. They are also uneven and choppy! I am so upset. read more

Beth is amazing and has been cutting our sons hair for 3 years. He was very nervous his first time and she did so well we had to see her everytime since!! read more

I had my sons first haircut here. They make it a fun experience which I really like! Make sure to let them know when booking that it's your child's first haircut. They will save a lock of hair and make a certificate. They were so patient with my son and they did so many things to try to entertain him and distract him. Overall he did really good too for a 10 month old. We have brought him two more times since and always have a great experience! Make sure to book in advance on weekends as they generally are too busy to do walk ins. read more

We have been taking my toddler son to KidSnips for the last year and a half. Beth is a very talented, personable stylist who does a wonderful job of doing awesome cuts even on crying, snotting babies and toddlers. She gave my 3yo a "big boy" haircut today with styling gel and all, and I am obsessed with his new 'do! read more

My 2 year old got her first haircut there and it was an AWESOME experience. She was super nervous, but the environment is so incredibly kid-focused that she left happy and wanted to come back. Laurie was friendly and made my daughter feel comfortable the whole time. Thank you!!! read more

Hina was wonderful. She was so gentle, kind and quick for our baby's first haircut. You get a certificate with a lock of hair and a photo of your baby, as well as a small prize, which is sure to keep them entertained on the car ride back! The salon is well-stocked with toys and plushies, fun chairs and a calm environment. We'll definitely be back! read more

Had appointment. They double booked a stylist with no regard for my time. Told me to wait 5 mins after my original appointment but waited 10 minutes beyond that and was still waiting. So we left and they didn't bother apologizing. We are no longer going there again. They've lost our business despite of the number of years we went there. read more

I recommend this place for little kids. I brought my son here for his first haircut at 12 months old and we've since returned a few times. They do a certificate for your child's first haircut with a picture and a lock of their hair. Very cute! We usually book with Nadya. I like that they have little car chairs and they will put a tablet with YouTube TV on to keep your child distracted. Most recently I booked with Laurie. I thought she did a good job of interacting with my grumpy 2 year old, but when we got home, I realized his haircut was quite crooked. Beware that they have a ton of toys for sale. You usually get a very small prize for free, but you might have to ask. read more

We brought my son here for his first haircut when he was about 14 months old. They did a fantastic job and we walked away with the perfect certificate of "first haircut" and a sample of his baby locks and a picture of how handsome his new "do" turned out! It wasn't just a haircut- it was an experience. It was just what I needed to ease my stress about going for the first time!! Thank you! read more

You have a kid with Curly hair... PLEASE DONT go to this place. As soon as I arrived I told her please don't use clipper on him because I wanted to keep the length of his hair, she ignore my request and the next thing I know is he has a military hair cut. She said it's better for summer!! I was shocked, I paid left the place and cried in my car. Please don't to this to you kid too. read more

Perfect first haircut place. But that's all it was for us. Pros: The experience with the certificate, kid friendly atmosphere, little hair piece keepsake, patient kid friendly stylist (Alex) we received were exactly what I wanted for my toddlers first experience. Cons: Very expensive. Cut was $25 plus tip alone. They also have a toy store inside and everything was pricey. My daughter wanted two surprise balls and that was another $25. We didn't have to get toys but it's hard to say no when we're standing in a toy store and she did great for her first cut. I will cut her hair moving forward but if you're looking for a first time experience this was a great place aside from toy store. read more

My son's first hair cut and I heard mix reviews about this place but one person who stood out was Laurie. Let me tell you she did not disappoint, she was quick and efficient, plus my son's hair cut was exactly what I wanted (showed her a picture). She has patience and makes you and your child feel comfortable which is a plus with my crazy toddler. Will be back for his future cuts! read more

I took my 15 month old to Kidsnips in Naperville & booked online with Melissa. It was his first haircut but he really needed it! Melissa was awesome & I was running late so I called & they said it was ok they would still see me. Obviously I don't suggest this but as moms do sometimes we get busy & time slips from our hands all the time! They were awesome & took a picture & certificate & huge plus to my lil man staying still & no tears! Definitely recommend! read more

I have a 5 year-old who HATES getting his haircut. We've walked out of more than one haircut in the past year, because he does not stop screaming and thrashing. I took him to KidSnips today, and Debi worked her magic, and we came out with a handsome haircut! My son was screaming at the beginning, but Debi worked with me to set the expectations and follow-through on what we told him. She was kind, patient, and encouraging to him throughout the entire experience. We took much longer than the allotted time, but Debi didn't bat an eyelash, she stayed patient and kind the whole time. This is the first time in over a year my son's hair looks as cute as he is. read more

We've been here 3 times now and I think I owe the place a glowing review! It's just so EASY. I have a 3 year old daughter and she absolutely loves going to get a haircut. It's bright and fun, and she loves the cute car chairs and tablets for cartoons. Ms Hina has cut her hair the last couple of times and does a wonderful job on her curly hair, with long layers this time and usually finishing it off with braids and a bow or pretty clip to wear home. For the price, you also get a lollipop and a prize of child's choosing on the way out. Absolutely worth it and I'd highly recommend it. Bonus - it's next door to a French bakery so we always treat ourselves to some macarons after! read more

A good friend of mine had positive experiences at another Kid Snips location, and since this was easier for me to meet at, she was kind enough to bring her son here so we could both get our kids' hair cut "together". This was my 16 month old's first hair cut so I expected the worst from him, but he did fantastic! He was still, quiet and did not cry the entire time. I was shocked and proud of my little one! Likewise for my friend's son, who is the same age (though it wasn't his first hair cut). Due to COVID restrictions we didn't hang around much, but I was impressed with the precautions they were taking. Unfortunately, after we both parted ways and returned home, both my friend and I realized that the hair cuts were...choppy at best. My son's hair had hard lines/chunks instead of being blended, and my friend's son had the same issue. We both had different hair stylists. I received $5 off our next hair cut but I'm not sure I'd return even with a coupon. read more

We love it here! Our boys have been getting their hair cut by Miss. Alex for a few years. We never have to worry about a bad haircut with her. We get so many compliments and people always ask where they get their hair cut. We moved out of state over a year ago and instead of finding a new salon, I STILL get their hair cut with Miss. Alex every time we're back in town! The salon itself is great also. Endless toys at all price points, iPads for the kids while they get their cuts done in a car, a prize chest, etc. read more

I cannot stand this place! I don't know if they are racist or what but I have been coming here on and off for the past 6-7 years and I have HAD IT!! If you miss an appointment or cancel they penalize you and have banned me in the past from coming! Now they want you to PRE-PAY so you cannot cancel. Also It seems like every time I come to get my child's haircut they up the price $3-5 more not to mention it's never a quality cut! I started paying $12 for a haircut then it was $17 then $22 then $27 now its $30!!!!! They rush the haircut so your child can be in and out the door without you taking a clear look at the job. They always want you to book an appointment but still have you wait when You come on time. This place is ridiculous! I understand the economy isn't well but there is no reason why a 2-3yr old haircut is $30+ tip. I stopped bringing my older child here because I was spending over $70+ to get both of my children's haircut. The only reason why I have come here is because sometimes my little one might flinch or move and a regular salon will refuse to cut the child's hair with scissors. You guys need to do better on pricing, especially for regulars! Maybe introducing a reward system? If you want to an overpriced mediocre haircut for your child be my guest. But I will no longer spend my money here! Also I will not recommend this place to anyone! Oh but look at all the reviews from the parents that do have a quality experience. Notice the correlation/favoritism. To the owner and management reading this, DO BETTER! read more

KidSnips - Look at this chop job on my sons head! It's not blended on the sides and his bangs are all uneven! This is $30 worth????? - Hair Salons Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

muy bonita experiencia, mi niño de 1 año ya necesitaba un corte pero tenia mucho miedo que no se dejara pues suele llorar cuando esta con extraños, agende cita con melissa y fue muy amable y paciente con el, hiso justamente lo que pedia para el corte, me encanto su trabajo, por ser su primer corte le dieron su certificado con foto y su mechon, definitivamente lo volvere a llevar very nice experience, my one year old boy needed a haircut i was a little afraid that he wouldn't leave because he usually cries when he is whit strangers, i made a appointment whit Melissa and she was very kind and patient with him, i love his work, for being his first cut they gave him a certificate that have his photo and a lock of hair, i will definitely take him back read more

Brought our son here for hiS first haircut! Our stylist was so sweet anD did a great jOb with his hair even though he has a giant colic in the front! I called and was able to get in the next day. I was happy with the cleanliness and appearance of the store. The receptionist seemed kind of cold and irritated, but perhaps just busy? Our stylist was attentive, made us feel at ease and cut my daughters hair in 15-20 minutes. But, for the price we paid, (*$25*) I expected more. My local salon charges only $15 for shampoo/wash, cut and blow dry. Here, we just had a spritz of water, hair cut and then done. The bangs and layers were choppy. I needed to even them out myself when we got home. read more

Our 5 year old son hated getting his hair cut, and was terrified of the buzzers...until we met Ms. Alex! She masterfully relaxed him, reassured him, and within minutes had him chatting and laughing while she cut his hair - and used the buzzers! It was a miracle. She has a very relaxed, calm vibe that really resonated with him. To top it off, the cut itself was wonderful - blended, clean lines and exactly what I requested. I am beyond thrilled to have finally found a kid-friendly salon we love. My son literally walked out of there saying "That was amazing - I love this place!". I also have to say that the recent negative reviews have me rolling my eyes. The price is too high? Then go somewhere cheaper. You were late to your appointment and they were not able to accommodate you? Good! I'm glad to know they value their clients time and wouldn't make me sit and wait because *you* were late coming in before me. Folks need to get over their sense of entitlement, instead of leaving meritless 1-star reviews on small businesses doing the best they can - in a pandemic, no less. read more

Kiddo's grandmother took them here without permission and they asked to go again, so I obliged. Sure, it's super cool with the sitting in a train or car while staring at an iPad playing games for the child but that the hair is cut with extreme speed and complete inaccuracy... Not as much fun for the adults that have to get it fixed after paying so much... It was great for a first haircut, but I cannot justify going back. I felt completely unheard by the stylist and paid too much for something I could have easily done myself, and had been doing better myself with zero training... I just wanted to give the experience that comes with it, but I would not recommend this place beyond a "first real haircut". It's wildly expensive for something you have to go to a professional stylist friend to fix. read more

I am so glad I found this gem! We arrived without an appointment, but right away they set me up for one and turned out great because my girls got to look around and get a feel for the place. I was extremely nervous and hesitant that my girls wouldn't like it and start crying. It was the complete opposite. We got Michelle and let me tell you, she is awesome!! She has kids of her own so she understood and knew just how to charm little girls. Her vibrant attitude and charisma made my girls comfortable. On the contrary, my 3 yr old was happy and excited and after her haircut she was glowing. Michelle talked to my girls and made conversation and had my 4 yr old laughing. She was such a joy that I highly recommend you ask for her, I know she's our person! The time with her flew by and before my girls knew it, the haircut was done! Michelle braided my girls hair beautifully and she did it so quickly. The girls got their picture taken and certificates for their first time haircuts. Each kid gets a toy and lollipop at checkout. I was highly impressed and most definitely going back! read more

Prices are too high for kids haircut! This isn't Rodeo Drive, it's showplace drive in Naperville, ILLINOIS! Rip off, indeed!

We have been going here for 4+ years now and even though my son no longer needs to go to a "kid" place with the extra bells and whistles, we won't ever leave Miss Alex! She's the absolute best and we both adore her! She remembers my son by name each time and even remembers what they've talked about in previous visits and his likes/dislikes which makes him feel so comfortable. Not to mention, his haircut is perfect every time! In regards to COVID-19 protocols, the salon has been very clean and we have always felt safe in there. They do temp checks and ask questions at the door, as well as sanitize everyone's hands. read more

My daughter had her first haircut here. The stylist did a great job with the cut and keeping her calm. My biggest problem was that I booked an appointment and arrived a couple minutes before hand. The person who's appointment was before me was about late and got there at the same time as me and I had to wait 20 minutes for my daughters cut. I understand that things happen and we run late sometimes but I didn't like the way that was handled. I feel like because they were late they should of had to wait. I had my 3 month old and 3 year old with me. I booked an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait as if I walked in. Wont be returning for this reason. read more

My son has severe sensory sensitivities and hates being touched around his head and face. After many failed attempts to cut his hair at home, I decided to try and see how he'd do at a salon. His hair had gotten so long that it was bothering his neck and face. I made the appointment and went in half expecting to have to go home without getting his hair cut. As soon as we walked in, he panicked and screamed. But the environment is so warm and welcoming that he calmed down looking around at all the toys and cool chairs. When his name was called, he panicked again and had a big meltdown. Laurie handled it all so well. She was gentle, patient, thorough, friendly, and most importantly she never for a second made us feel like we were a burden to her. Having a child with special needs means that people can often shame you in public settings and it can be so heartbreaking so we are so grateful for this experience. Laurie is more than a hair stylist. She is a sweet angel and a treasure to our family. read more

Used to be a good place for kid's haircuts. Now they have started refusing to honor appointments with less than 7 min delays with legitimate reasons (such as a car wreck on road that caused my wife to be stuck in traffic for a long time). She was 7 mins late and was told they only honor 5 min delays. We live quite far this has happened before so this time we left to reach 15 mins ahead. I understand they have a lot of appointments but being this inflexible is not acceptable. Never going there again. read more

It was officially time to take our son in for his FIRST ever haircut. We walked in and were immediately greeted. Both of the stylists were so excited to hear he was there for his first cut. Ms. Hina was his stylist and she walked him over to his hot rod seat. She even brought the tablet over to help distract him. While cutting his hair, she did an amazing job distracting him and kept him from shedding a single tear. Once we were done, our son got to pick out a little prize and received his certificate. They did such an amazing job making this a memorable moment for my Wife and I. Can not wait to bring him back!!! read more

I being client since probably two years ago and I stoped coming for a while and I came back today for the first time after a while and will never returned. I came in today and there are three people cutting hair I did not have an appointment and Nicole the receptionist looked at me and said my next opening is at 1:45 but no one was waiting it as 1pm, and I said so you don't have anything now she give me a really bad attitude like obviously I don't my next opening is 145 pm very disrespectful I do understand she's pregnant but she needs to understand that Costumer Service is first and if you could apologize and just said I'm so sorry I don't have anything now would you like me to schedule you at 1:45 and set up giving me a lift my look around please don't you see that everybody's busy she didn't say that but the way she looks at me was extremely disrespectful. read more

Half hair salon for kids, half toy store. As long as you prefice your kids with "I'm not buying any toys" you should be fine. I continue to bring my daughter here for haircuts because they know kids hair! It always turns out perfect and my daughter loves the tablet during her cut. And I mean, who doesn't love picking out a toy from the free bin and getting a Dum Dum after your haircut? Yes it's expensive for kids hair IMO, but I just deal with it.
