Went in with my boyfriend to get a hair cut. We were really impressed with his stylist--Jen. Not only was she an absolute sweetheart but she gave him the best haircut he's had in a very long time. I'm looking forward to getting my own hair cut by her in the future. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I went back to this Great Clips location off of 75th St. in Naperville yesterday after not going for 9 years. Jen was my stylist and I really liked her. She listened to what went wrong with my last haircut at Great Clips in Bolingbrook and saw the differences in length and worked her magic to try to blend everything in to correct it. Bye bye Bolingbrook, you lost my business. Hello Jen, I'll be back! I know this salon doesn't have the highest Yelp rating, but I was extremely pleased with Jen as a stylist and the results. read more

I just had the worst haircut in decades. The stylist did not listen to what I wanted and truly butchered my haircut to the point where I'm embarrassed to be seen in public without a hat. I would never recommend her to anyone read more

Beth cut my hair today and she did a great job. It's a very friendly place and you can just walk right in for an inexpensive haircut.

I saw all the bad reviews and let me tell you, I understand that maybe one day this place was not good, but as of today you need to go here. The Price is good! Especially compared to other hair cut places in the area. My pocketbook is on a budget, and after going here, even if I had no budget limitations, I would still come here. When you're going for a hair cut the biggest concern is how the job gets done--what does it look like afterwards, how does the employee listen to your envisioned request then make it come to life? I got my haircut done by Alex. She was absolutely amazing. She listened to me, understood what I was looking for in a hair cut and delivered. I could not be happier. She gave me the best hair cut I have ever received in my life!! (That's saying a lot, I've been around for a while). If you come to this location ask for Alex specifically. She makes this place a 10/10! If you are looking for a haircut, look no further. I found you the perfect place with the perfect hairdresser. PS guys, if you need a hair cut or a beard trim, Alex will fix you up nice and clean!!! read more

My visit was a great disappointment. My partner and I went to go get haircuts here on a weekend. Both of our haircuts were poorly done with no attention to detail. I have long hair and was looking for a simple trim with layers. The gal who cut my hair snipped the ends bluntly in two seconds, and then did the layers very choppy without blending them in near my face. She wouldn't stop commenting on how dry my hair was and how she couldn't believe it. My partner's hair also was a blunt cut without blending with the clippers on the sides - a very obvious line instead of fading it towards the top. I'm not convinced this place knows how to professionally cut hair. Buyer beware! read more

I needed a haircut and this was the place, it had been about 5 weeks since I had my last haircut. I would also safely assume that some people get a haircut sooner or later than 4 to 6 weeks. Maybe some people choose to go for a haircut monthly or maybe every other month. Maybe every other week? Maybe every 2 weeks? Maybe every three weeks? Definitely not daily though, right? I just don't know. I keep a rather busy schedule and I had time and needed a haircut. I came to Great Clips without an appointment, was greeted and told to have a seat as it would be just a few minutes. It was my turn as my name was called. The beautician introduced herself and asked how I wanted my hair to be cut. We had the standard haircut conversation, we talked about the weather, she asked where I was from, she asked what I did for a living and if I had any plans for the weekend. It was over quick, maybe 12 minutes, maybe eight minutes, maybe. I checked out and was provided a receipt. Here is where I became a tad bit confused. On the receipt dated September 22 2018, reads on the bottom of the receipt, "Bring this back by 9/22/18 and receive $5.00 OFF YOUR NEXT HAIRCUT Not valid with any other offer or promo!" I understand that I wait 4 to 6 weeks for a haircut but was I really expected to bring this receipt back today to get another haircut to save $5.00? That seems a little too soon. I would hope that a place where cutting hair, which requires attention to detail would have noticed this. I'll return and assume safely that I'll be provided the $5.00 off on my next return. I'll see you in a few weeks. read more

Great Clips - Hair Salons Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

This is by far my favorite location! They take competitor's coupons and they're always there for me! Debbie is my go-to gal but the rest of the staff are very diligent at making you look your best! read more

I went to Great Clips in Bolingbrook IL this morning to get my inverse bob trimmed up and my bangs cut. Since it is hard to be understood through my mask I wrote out what it was I wanted done. I specifically said that I wanted the front to be chin length. The hairdresser cut it at jaw length and cut the entire thing at the same length rather than longer in the front as an inverse bob is supposed to be. At the time I didn't realize it as my hair was wet. I'd already stopped going to this place once, but since the Hair Cuttery across the street has yet to reopen after the COVID-19 lockdown I returned. It was a mistake and not one I am going to repeat. read more

There are plenty of great clips in the area. I would avoid this one. Brought my 4 year old for a simple haircut and he sat perfectly still the entire time. She used the buzzer and it was completely uneven. I'm not sure how that even happens. I brought him home and my husband sees him and immediately says what a terrible haircut it was. I took out my buzzer and had to fix it myself! read more

I have gone to Great Clips for several years. Just got one of the worst haircuts ever. Stylist more concerned about the temperature in the salon than my hair. Butchered my hair in about 3 minutes, then didn't give me the senior discount. Stay away from the salon on 75th street. read more

My mom cut my hair for about twenty nine years. Then one day she was like, "Jeff Y. You are a grown ass man. Go get your haircuts somewhere else." It's been a hard fought journey, but I've come out of it learning some very important life lessons that hopefully will spare you some scorn and heartache as you make the transition from your mother's house to a real salon. 1. No one likes cutting the hair of someone crying. 2. Salons typically do not make you potstickers afterwards and not let you leave until you eat at least 3/4 of the plate and then proceed to tell you how fat you are getting. 3. You can't leave a "hug" as a tip. 4. Most stylists are taller than 4'8" and don't cut your hair in the laundry room sitting on a chair with three phonebooks stacked on it. 5. Most stylists don't say terrible things about your father at length. Now if you're brave enough to accept these conditions, then let me recommend Great Clips in Hobson West Plaza in Naperville. There's always a coupon, they're fast and friendly. I used to frequent Upscale Male and while the interior is a little more chic, I would honestly walk out of there happy about 40% of the time. With Great Clips, its more like 80%, only 'cause one stylist (who doesn't work there anymore) gave me a weird reverse mullet type thing when I clearly asked for a regular one. But you learn which ones you like and they don't mind if you request them personally, as long as you don't mind waiting. For the record, Roselyn and Faith are my favorites! read more

Great place for haircut. Been going for few years now and will keep going for years to come.

Haven't been here in so long Jamie remembered me so she knew my style right away love you guys !!

The staff here was friendly and quick to check me in. They were precise on how long the wait would be. My stylist asked how I normally get my hair cut so I let her know what was up so we could come out styling like it was 2014. Oh yeah. She did a decent job but I've had better when it comes to a stylist really caring about their work when it comes to my head. I did have a coupon for 8.99 so the deal is what drew me in. So make sure you look for local coupons. I think I might go back to my usual place going forward. read more

Faith was awesome! I used the Great Clips application to check in and I drove there in probably five minutes. I was greeted as I walked in the door and was asked if I was "Brian" right away. She sat me down and I was out of there within ten minutes. I was very impressed with how fast the whole process was! Thanks! Keep up the good work Faith! read more

Tried Great clips as I was tired of Lee's Barber Shop. I was pleasantly surprised. Nicer place, very friendly people and lower price. Got a good haircut and felt like my business was appreciated . I'll go there from now on. Thanks Sondra. read more

I had pictures of the haircut I wanted from all sides. Kind of like a pixie bob. My hair is completely uneven. She cut the sides all the way up to the top of my ear, about an inch shorter than the pictures I showed her. One half of my head is a good half inch longer than the other side of my head. The back was supposed to be short at the bottom and longer at the top. It's all short. It looks like a men's cut in the back with none of the softness of a woman's short cut. As for the bangs, one side is blended, although too long considering she completely cut the sides away. The other side looks like she cut straight across, realized it was too short, so cut longer in the next section. It looks like the corner of a hallway when you pull the hair forward. She styled my hair to hide it, so I saw it after I left. I called when I found out what happened, but someone hung up without speaking to me. read more

The lady with the colorful hair is the best ever. I didn't get her today. Instead I got a lady that didn't know how to cut my hair. I had to stop her and tell her I'd do it myself. read more

Went there a few days ago for a haircut and they made it look horrible. Cut the sideburns completely off leaving a straight line of hair on the side of my head. Will never go back again. read more

at first they were nice and seemed helpful. I even came in with a picture of what I wanted and it was not a difficult task. The "stylist" didn't even get close to what I showed her in the picture and it was the worse hair cut I ever got in my life my girlfriend even laughed at it before we left the store. I felt bad, and we just left. I got home and it was so bad I seriously shaved my head. I called them and told them about all of this and they asked if i could come back in so they can fix it and I told them i shaved my head and then they said they would make note of it and it would be free next time...seriously Im not ever going back there and told them that. So I asked for a full refund, they cleared it with their district manager and I got a refund. So unless you want to waste a day and just end up shaving your head anyways DO NOT GO HERE read more

I have been going to this particular great clips location for the last two years and I can say that the quality of the haircuts I have received have gotten worse as of late. When I first started going here I would always deal with two or three different women, but the one who would cut my hair most often was a girl named faith. She was very good at her job and could even cut this stupid cowlick that never lies right on the back of my head. I would never find any long spots when running my hand through my hair and my sideburns were always even. However, the women who used to cut my hair no longer appear to work there. Instead I have been getting haircuts from these two middle aged women whom I have had during my last couple of visits. The quality of the haircuts they give certainly leaves something to be desired. I frequently find long spots around my ears and on my head that have been missed; the hair on the back of my neck is never cut into an even line but slanted so one end is higher than the other, and I the most frustrating thing of all is they cannot cut sideburns evenly to save their life (One is always cut higher or lower than the other). All in all, for thirteen dollars it's not terrible but certainly not as good as it used to be. read more

I love Great Clips!! This salon has very friendly staff and the manager is awesome as well. I did not have to wait long and I did not have a schedule appointment. The stylist was very friendly asked about my day as well as how I like my hair done. She even made suggestions as I was not sure what I wanted done this time around. She made my hair look great and I will definitely be going back to this salon. Thank you staff for your welcoming presence and caring about the job that you are doing. Two thumbs up here! read more

Great service every time! We use the online check in service and never have to wait! Staff is super friendly and professional. There are many other hair salons closer to my house, but the awesome service keeps us coming back every time we need a cut! read more

My wife and I went in around 3pm Saturday afternoon. We were not greeted at all, so that was nice. Kim was my stylist, she pretty much listened to nothing I said, too short on the sides, too long on top, hairs sticking out all over. I have very curly and thick hair. If a stylist does not know how to cut this type of hair and she does not know how to cut on the right side of a curl, she should request another stylist to do it! Even my side burns are uneven and not straight. I paid for this ? and gave her a $5 tip?? It will take weeks till I can go to another place and pay to have her crappy job fixed. I will never go back there. Oh yeah and she talked down to my wife ! Worst haircut I have ever had !!! The location was on 75th St in Naperville. read more
