We booked a last minute party for my son's one year celebration and it was great! Robin our party manager was flexible and accommodating which I appreciate. It's great to have a place where it's all inclusive and gives families piece of mind while planning. The kids loved the playing there and had a blast! The pricing was reasonable and since it was a last minute party there was a discount too! I would come back just to have the kids play!

This place is great!! I brought my 9 month old to see if we would potentially use this place for his birthday party. There's not a whole lot of places in Denver that will cater towards infants and young toddlers so this was a good find. It's geared for eight and under. It's kind of hidden behind a shopping strip, but if you follow the signs, there's adequate parking in the back. When you first walk in, they have all manner of toys that you can purchase as well as a ton of cubbies for shoes and personal items. For my son and I, it was $17 so not crazy expensive and there is a lot for kids to do here. There is a tumbling area that has a bunch of foam block that has various play houses with slides, bouncy houses for both bigger and smaller kids and more. I will also note it has a 4 and under area for little ones to play away from the bigger kids. It also has themed sections such as a school, laundromat, a construction site, a veterinary clinic, a fire house and a kitchen to name a few. All come with various toys for that area. There are also tables in the back for parties as well as all manner of snacks and some alcoholic drinks for mommas and papas. It is as clean as a toddler play place can be. There are icky bins, sanitization stations for toys that have been stuck in mouths and such. I did see them cleaning the toys in those bins frequently. Overall it's a great place definitely worth the money and I'll be back

So fun for toddlers to get creative

My kids have always had such a great time here (4 years old and 2 years old). I love seeing them in their 'creative play' element as they take care of babies, do the laundry, buy them groceries, etc. There's so much to do here and we've spent time in all the different rooms and areas. We always end our visit with getting a few snacks and juice boxes, and enjoying them in the snack area. Everything is reasonably priced! I did bring my nephews here (8 and 6 years old) twice and will say that they were a bit too old for Kids Wonder. They spent most of the time on the bounce houses but then they were wreaking havoc in the kids' areas by throwing food all over the place and chasing each other around with the blue noodles from the building area. They were 'bored' and that was their way of entertaining themselves. I felt they were ruining it for the younger kids and won't be bringing them again. Haha. The staff were so patient and kind, so I was grateful for that! They were constantly cleaning and never made us feel bad for the huge mess they were making (I helped clean too!).

We're here for the week for work/vacation. We needed to find somewhere to take our 18 month little one and this place was perfect!! She had so much fun going room to room. There's so much to do and lots of space so you don't feel like you're on top of other people/kiddos trying to place. I wish this place existed in Texas! Lol Thanks for all the hard work you guys did to make this place so awesome!

Unfortunately the teaching kitchen was closed at 2 so we didn't get to enjoy it. We're from out of town and were blown away with all the activities offered. There are two glaring things though that make me hesitate to ever want to make a second trip. One is the cafe. I'm not expecting the bougie majesty like you get at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but this is in Denver. I'd consider us a pretty cosmopoliton city & this being THE Children's Museum for CO (since it's in our capitol), it should have a proper quick service option. Cold food options, fine, but a microwave for hot options? So disappointing. I noticed a lot of space dedicated to private parties, etc. Can we not junk that in favor of a real sit down spot? The worst thing though was the behavior of the older children that make the museum unusable in certain areas. Seemed to specficially be the kids on field trips. My nearly 2 year old loves a ball so you can imagine his delight in discovering the "Kinetics!" area. Despite there being what seems like a ton of balls, a bunch of unruly older children have managed to hoard them to where even adults can't wrangle one measly ball for their kid to hold. Once my poor son managed to acquire one, he ran off to a quiet corner & refused to let me show him how the exhibit worked with the tubes, etc. because he was too concerned about the ball being taken from him. Well, he was right to be concerned as these selfish older children came over & tried to take the ball from him despite them hoarding the entire room's balls insisting that they need that one too. My husband's head nearly exploded. The Bloom room is really the only safe haven for any kid let alone the young ones but my son will age out soon and then what? He's 99 percentile so even though he's one, he's already the size of a four year old but he still gets run over in rooms that are supposed to be for "all ages." Once my son ages out of the Bloom room there really is no incentive for us to come back here as the experience is way too violent, overstimulating, & a bully's playground. Similar instances happened in the Bubble room & the Market as well with different gangs of field trippers. We came on what felt like a very average day crowd wise (Thurs 9-11:30AM) so I can't imagine how awful it would be on a busier day. Really a shame that poorly parented/chaperoned kids have to ruin the experience of so many other children as I've seen multiple other reviews complain about the same thing. I should have take them more seriously.

Lots of different things to keep them busy including a big pirate ship, pulley chairs, art room, etc. I loved how they had some older telephones, switch boards, etc. so kids could actually experience some of these items not commonly used or seen today. It was fun to let them explore those and play with them. As a bilingual family, we appreciated how everything was presented in English/Spanish. I did feel like some of the displays were a little run down. Likewise the prices were steep, especially for adults. I really think since adult presence is required, it really shouldn't cost more than $3 per adult. Bathrooms were fairly clean. Place seemed stuck in the Covid era which I wasn't a fan of. Time to move on! This isn't the museum's fault but the day we went the kids there were a bit out of control and rude. That dampened our experience a little bit. They had a little area where families could sit and eat snacks. That was nice for taking a break, especially if you stay for a while. It was a fun one time excursion but I wouldn't return. We have a lot of fun places much closer to us that cost a lot less!

Cons: NO toilet seat covers in bathrooms (there was kid pee all over the seat and I had to wipe it…read moreoff and hover. NOT COOL.) NO antibacterial/sanitizing wipes near yuck bins (or anywhere.) if someone is putting an item in the yuck bin, you can guarantee they need to wipe their hands. And what about babies who drool on things that can't be picked up? Simple wipes would go really far. NO water from the outdoor mud kitchen spigot. If you are going to make a mud kitchen sink and have a spigot with a pipe all set up, at least make sure it works! ! Running kids... they have 2 screens that I saw that said make sure to walk, but I can tell you they do nothing, hah! So be prepared for your little one to get run into, whacked, stepped on, etc. They don't remind anyone during check in to please walk. NO parking. They have a few spots and otherwise it's street parking. For pregnant moms, newly postpartum moms with their strollers and gear, grandparents with arthritis or bad hips etc....enjoy the hike!!!! Pros: Many different areas of play, and geared toward a wide range of ages. We drove from Fort Collins to go, and had fun. Though I wouldn't return with a 1 hr drive. Also wish it was a bit cheaper, but it's better than some of the really large museums. Tried to get a pass at the library but have to have a Lafayette address to get a museum pass, even though we have a Lafayette library card. COST was about $33 for 2 kids and 1 adult. All in all, if it was walkable distance we might go more, but for any kind of driving distance plan for it to be one and done visit :) there is a cute coffee shop next door which was nice.

Having just taken my nearly 2 year old to the Denver Children's Museum for the first time the day…read morebefore, this was SUCH a breath of fresh air. I can't say enough good things about it but most importantly how is this free?! I feel like they could charge $5 admission & I'd still be cool with it but I'll take free all day! My son has never seen a farm & growing up in San Jose my mother often took my brother & I to a place called Prusch Farm. Very similar to this museum so I was delighted to be able to find something I could take my son to so that I could try to give him the kind of cool childhood memories I treasure. This was even better because of the working Blacksmith! My son was in awe by the whole thing but my husband & I have never seen a blacksmith in action either. The variety of animals plus the costumed volunteers & walkable buildings are such a great way to entertain a toddler. We got there at opening & were able to get everything done by the time it was getting more crowded around 11AM. I would definitely come back as we missed seeing the small indoor museum near check in. Loved this 10x more then the Children's Museum!

The inside of the museum was very interesting with an art exhibit, a special exhibit which currently focused on Kate Farretti and the Littleton history area which included a kids zone. The Kate Farretti exhibit depicted the life of a famous hat maker originally from Italy, she settled in Denver with her husband and made hats for Denver's elite including Molly Brown. Kate was also mother to the first triplets to be born in Denver. You can spend a couple hours here and make a day of it. I loved the living history farm portion which included 1860's and 1890's farms and contained 5 historical buildings as well as outhouses and a root cellar. It is an acutal working farm with 1800lb cows, turkeys, chickens, sheep, donkeys and a blacksmith! The gardens throughout were beautiful, we got to pick some pumpkins and see what would have been grown in this historical time period. Both livestock and gardens were accurately portrayed for the time period. You can only bring water in so don't try to do a picnic onsite. You are able to bring strollers and wagons and I would recommend doing so, there is a lot of land to be covered which requires a lot of walking.

It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.

Recently went to the Bright Lights event at this park and had a wonderful experience walking around…read morethe luminous colorful tall lanterns. Every inch of the 12 acres had lights and even in the trees and bushes. So many details that it seemed realistic. This event is for young and old and I highly recommend going!
