But it ended up being unexpectedly expensive! There is no pricing displayed anywhere so I had no idea what to expect. But when my 4 year old wanted to paint a 2nd item while I finished my first, we were billed for an entire 2nd session! I didn't think this was reasonable or fair, especially since we were the only 2 guests there. We used a minimal amount of paint regardless and paid for the items we painted as well, so really, I felt that charging for an extra session was just being greedy.

Large open space that seems like nothing special but it is so nicely managed. Velcro secured blocks to the floor. there was a large trampoline, big foam pit and two smaller ones, two balance beams, tons of blocks, plenty of chairs, and a swing... but it's obviously rotated regularly. It was sized great for even kiddos who can't yet walk. If you're here a lot maybe older kids would get bored without direction but kids will be kids and play the whole time without it! The staff is younger college as expected but there were three people available which was more than I expected and all really nice. They were friendly and they did everything right. They gave us space, but circled around regularly, and added assistance when asked quickly and politely. And I don't mean just shouting answers from the other side of the room. They used every kids' names but weren't hovering. They encouraged play but weren't directive. It was just right. I asked about cleaning and the equipment because I'd heard very little about the place and had tried KidStrong nearby for classes. They replace foam cubes with bite marks often and I saw (no, wait, they saw) two and removed them while I was there. All of them had sharp new-ish edges that I saw. Four bathrooms with kid seats and changing tables. TLDR; I'd come back. With adult and kid friends.

There's two here and with change tables in them. There's also a path so you can walk around the soccer field that's in the middle and it also joins onto Piney Creek Trail so if you want to walk out the bottom of the park and down the side of the road you can go for miles.

But then I realized the beauty of that is as a parent, I can sit and supervise without constantly chasing my child around. The place is clean and brightly lit, with lots of fun pretend play options for kiddos. Play sessions are $18.50 for 1.5 hours which goes by fast. Kids can choose a snack or juice box on the way out though which makes the transition easier. They also have a lot of craft activities (slime, beads, etc) that can be added on for an extra fee. My only note of feedback would be announcing 5 min in advance of the play session ending. When the employee announced that play time was over at the end of the session, I think it caught some of the kids off guard and a few started crying because they weren't quite ready to leave.

I love the various paved trails throughout the park. I believe it's 4 miles round trip. What I also love about the park is that there is another park directly across the street from the Meadows Blvd entrance. Castle Rock is a fantastic community for walking trails. I also love that this park isn't crowded with too many people. It's actually deceiving as you're passing the Meadows Blvd entrance because the park doesn't look like much. However, if you park and get out of your car to start walking trails, there is so much beauty that begins to unfold. As you venture towards the opposite side of the park there are pickle ball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, two tiny baseball fields, a large swimming pool and children's playground. There is plenty of open space to venture out onto the grass to play your favorite activity with family or friends. Recently, I saw about 3-4 people using a small trampoline and a ball to play a game on the grass. I absolutely love seeing citizens enjoying their local park. Across from the pool entrance there are public restrooms. I used the men's restroom on a recent trip and was impressed that it was kept fairly clean. It wasn't trashed or dirty. Opposite from the Meadows Blvd park entrance is a medium sized parking lot. I've never seen the parking lot full when visiting lately. I also believe that you must reserve any of the courts in the park. Fact check this. Again, plan accordingly. I've seen the Pickle Ball courts full during every trip to the park lately. You can always check the park website for court usage or call the local parks and recreation department in Castle Rock. I hope that you enjoy your visit to this beautiful park! We had such a great time at Fox Hill Park! There are two playgrounds--one for older kids and one…read morefor younger ones--which was perfect for our little play date. The musical play area and built-in lemonade stand were super cute touches! The park is clean, well-kept, and seems to have been recently renovated. There's also a swing, basketball court, and a gazebo with picnic tables. The only tricky part was parking--there's no designated lot, and the nearby cul-de-sacs can fill up with resident parking. We parked at the nearby King Soopers and walked over, which worked just fine. Definitely a fun and charming spot for kids!
