    Welp apparently this facility also charges a "bad Yelp review fee"? I say this because the month after I wrote my full and honest review I received a bill in the mail. This is rather interesting since all that was done for my son at ANY of his visits was preventative , and therefore covered 100% by insurance. We had never received a bill before. And if you look at the bill there are just "adjustments". Now I tried to call the office twice, first time I left a voicemail l, waited a couple of days and the lady I spoke with when I called again said the "guy who is taking care of this is out for a couple of days and will call you back". Never got a call back and then today guess what was in the mail??? Another bill ‍ maybe the only way I can get a call back is to communicate my experiences here.

    Momma's in the South Austin/Kyle/Buda/Dripping Springs area, I totally recommend this pediatric dentistry. My 18 month old had the time of his life today! The staff is over the top amazing and Doctor Alex Otto is super sweet, patient, and gentle. The vibe is just super welcoming, you won't want to leave!

It is hard to find caring and loving Dr's that love to do what they do! Dr. Eduardo not only is he great with kids but very passionate about his job. Makes parents well aware of the kids needs, makes sure parents understand what type of treatment is needed and why the treatment is needed. He makes kids feel comfortable and welcomed. We were told that because we were so late we'd have to be rescheduled because my appointment was 3:45. I say no, it was 3:50 and showed the front person my email confirmation and that I was still within the late policy. She said "hmm," and then said they'd still have to reschedule because I didn't have verified insurance. Wait, what? Where's that policy? I had updated the new insurance info the day before and somehow it didn't exist anymore in my account, which was also weird, but not really relevant, just interesting, because I think there must be software/program issues. I even offered to pay out of pocket to be seen due to the lack of insurance verification, and was STILL told a reschedule was the best they could do. It was very clear they were running extremely behind. We've always had the latest appointment and never seen the lobby like that. There's nothing anywhere in policies that say if you're a bit behind, even within the late window, and don't have your insurance verified, that they'll turn you away. I made that point. The manager agreed - that wasn't a written policy, but you still won't let me pay you out of pocket and are turning us away. I've wondered why there's a ton of staff and doctor turnover here. The staff seem miserable, and frankly, today, the manager punished us because they were the ones so far behind. If you want to create a brand new policy for the last appointment of the day that you're going to be turned away without verified insurance within 24hrs, regardless if they want to pay out of pocket, than do that. Give a 5min grace period instead of 15min. Warn people. We'd been considering leaving for a while due to cold staff, but doc interactions kept us hopeful. They've always been really great. The rest of the staff just aren't happy. This manager made it way too easy to walk away and never look back. As someone who runs a business, this was an absolutely horribly managed business. Don't waste your time here.

He is very personable,…read moreknowledgeable, expresses concern for his patients, provides detailed evaluations and options while including the patient in the decision making process, and is a very gentle dentist who is concerned about patient pain and care. I've also found his staff is equally as pleasant and efficient as the Doctor. They greet you warmly when you enter their office and make you feel at ease in their presence. They are accommodating and willing to work with you on whatever you need. Finally, they have up-to-date equipment and are technically savvy. I scheduled an appointment months out for me and my son, and they called shortly before his appointment to let us know that he would not be covered, despite the fact that the health care provider's website said that they were in network and the receptionist stated that they took that provider's PPO insurance when I made the appointment. I asked Main Street Dental to please check to see whether MY health insurance (a different provider) was in network and whether everything would be covered for MY appointment for later that month. They stated that they normally only call right before the appointment. I explained that we didn't want to wait until right before the appointment to find out whether there were hidden fees/out of network issues/etc. They stated they would call and check, and then they actually DID call me back to say yes, my insurance was in network, and everything should be covered. Fast-forward to my appointment! UH-OH! Turns out this place requires panoramic X-rays, which my insurance doesn't cover, so they're just calling right before my appointment to let me know that will be an extra surprise fee! Why couldn't they have checked that when they called about my insurance the first time? HMMM.... Even MORE incredibly, the receptionist stated that they were required BY LAW to take panoramic X-rays. I actually am a lawyer, but I don't think you need to have gone to law school to know that there's NO law requiring people to take panoramic X-rays before receiving dental treatment. Call almost any other dental office in the area and ask. Steer clear of Main Street Dental. There are other new dental offices in the area who would love your business and won't hit you with surprises 24-48 hours before your appointment, after you've already waited 4 months to see a dentist. They also probably won't lie and tell you a medical procedure is required "by law" when it is not.
