This facility nearly killed my mother, and I want to make sure no one else goes through the nightmare we did. My mom arrived at Community North Rehab after suffering a stroke. She had some mild speech impairment and early-stage dementia, but she was mentally sharp, alert, and active. She also had a stent between her kidney and bladder. Despite her condition, she was prematurely discharged from the hospital, under the all-too-common excuse of "testing will be done outpatient"--which really just means "get them out, we're done here," even if they're still on the brink of a medical crisis. From the moment she entered this facility, she declined rapidly. She stopped eating, became lethargic, and couldn't even complete her therapy sessions. Staff blamed "severe dementia," which was a lie. Before coming here, she was engaged, talkative, and functioning far above the level they claimed. The reason she couldn't participate in therapy? She was constantly needing to use the bathroom--a huge red flag they brushed off as nothing. I raised hell. I demanded answers. I asked to speak to the doctor overseeing her care, who coldly told me there was no reason to send her back to the ER. I asked him, "So, blood in the urine and needing to use the bathroom ten times in a half hour is normal?" And he said yes--as if that was something any human being should accept. They insisted she was "fine" and that this was normal for someone with a stent and told us to take her home for outpatient testing. So I did. Within one day of being home, she was practically unresponsive. She had explosive diarrhea, slept the entire day, and was only awake for about 45 minutes. I told my husband, "We have to get her to the ER--now." We took her to a different hospital, and within hours, they diagnosed her with C. diff--a dangerous, highly contagious infection that she most likely contracted either at Community North Hospital or at the Rehab Center. And what did the rehab staff do when she complained about needing to constantly use the bathroom? Nothing. They ignored her. I was there--I heard her begging to be excused from physical therapy because she had to go to the bathroom. And the staff still insisted she finish her tasks. Meanwhile, I kept repeating, "She is not doing well!" and was met with blank stares. I have to call out Robin, her case manager, by name. She was apathetic, stubborn, and completely dismissive of my concerns. Every time I raised a red flag, she gaslit me--saying there was "nothing they could do." I cried. I sobbed. I begged for help. Robin remained completely unmoved. Cold. Detached. As if my mother's suffering meant nothing. Now, my mother is fighting for her life in another hospital. And I can't help but believe that if Community North Rehab had listened--had actually cared--she might not be in this position. This place is a death camp. And the most twisted part? When I first arrived, I saw their signs and banners proudly announcing they were voted "Best Rehabilitation Center." I was fooled. Duped. Don't let the polished signage and smiling faces fool you--they are not what they appear. Please, for the love of your family--do not bring your loved one here.

This time I have a completely different outlook now. I am being treated for low back pain and seeing Danielle. She is one of the most compassionate therapist I've ever worked with. She listens to me and questions me about my tolerance throughout my session. She knows what she is doing. I feel confident recommending Athletico as all the employees are friendly and respectful. I will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

Kelsey took me under her wing, made an evaluation of my conditions and created a exercise and stretching routine for daily use at home and additional items for the clinic routine. Kelsey and everyone else in the facility were welcoming and encouraging. The location is well maintained, centrally and easy accessible. When and not if I ever need Physical Therapy again, I will be returning to Athletico.

This individual was transporting an 85+ year old person with dementia who uses an walker to get around to a medical appointment when the tire went flat and they rolled into the facilities lot. I have never been more disappointed in the human services profession than I was today. Not one person who approached the car asked if they could help, or if the elderly individual in the car was in any distress due to the heat. They wanted the car to moved so it would not interfere with the line up for the end of their day. When the driver suggested they move the car slowly to another spot in the parking lot they were told no. The tow truck arrived within 20 minutes of the call and no interruption of their services occurred. I arrived a quickly as I could from 20 miles away to load the elderly individual into my car to get her out of the heat. The treatment received by the staff was deplorable. You would think that facility staff who worked with folks needing ABA therapy would know how to be flexible to interruption and changes in routine. More importantly, how to treat people with the same kind of kindness they would like to be treated.

This was just so they could keep blank signatures of file to use at their convenience. I am a clinical doctor, am a family nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife, and have been in private practice for more than thirteen years (23 years in total practice with a lengthy resume, state awards, and national leadership positions). With respect, I shared with both the secretary and the co-owner, Maeci Evans, that this wasn't entirely legal and it might behoove them to reassess this procedure. As I was explaining this at the desk in the waiting room, of course where everyone can hear per their doing, not mine, another pediatric physician overheard the conversation and shared that she agreed completely and was also not comfortable signing the requested forms. We were then told not to return and Maeci had her secretary file a complaint with the attorney general's office stating that I falsely represent myself as a doctor because I am not a physician and my email has Dr. within it. This is not just unprofessional and ignorant, as I do hold a doctorate degree and have every right to use the title, but it is caddy and cruel. I can not recommend this clinic.

He splits time here, another office and surgery, so it may be difficult to get a hold of his staff at times. I have also had to wait a long time after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. One time I waited 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. They were very apologetic about the situation though. They also have their own physical therapy attached with them, but you are not obligated to go. I am a South sider, so I went to a physical therapy studio near me. The place has a decent waiting room and friendly staff. They also have a huge parking lot that it shares with the other business in the building that it shares. They treated me very well here and got me on the right path. I wish I would have came here first for my broken elbow, but oh well. If you find yourself in need of this place's services, you are in good hands and I highly recommend checking them out.

I had a 7 am appointment and they were in the office when I arrived at 6:30 am. I was a little discouraged by the 4 pages of paperwork that I needed to fill out with my broken arm before being seen. I was called back a little after 7. The nurse, Kat, was friendly as she took my history and gently removed my cast. Dr Peers came in soon there after and looked at the arm and took me for xrays in an adjacent room. He actually took the xrays and described what he saw. He spoke in terms that I understood and answered questions. His care and consultation were excellent and he took me to another room to start physical therapy. The physical therapist, Jenny, prepared a brief set of exercises and we practiced. She set up follow up visits. I liked that the office is self contained with everything right there. The entire visit took under an hour and I felt that I was well cared for. I highly recommend. I also recommend early morning time to avoid the wait.

I have done PT 1000 times and you are shuffled in and out quickly (insurance reason I am sure) and shown things to do at home. At ATI they set a work out for you and you do it there. They may add one or two new ones but for the most part it is a work out everytime. Then they work on your injury. Best of all, they are a great group of kids. All very knowledgable, engaging and friendly. I highly recommend.

I rather appreciate how thoroughly she evaluates and takes notes. I find it to be a great thing while you are rehabilitating yourself. This is my first time going to physical therapy so I have nothing else to base my opinion from, but I am quite pleased with progress so far.
