I left to go shopping at Walmart. I come back to my apartment and they used all of my clean towels that were hanging up and drying. They used it to clean up their mess from the water heater. My bathtub was clean and they left dirt in my bathtub where you wash yourself. They tracked dirt all through my apartment and salt due to the weather that we have been having. I do not recommend this corporation to anybody you people have just lost a tenant and probably will lose more. Buckner properties would be ashamed. If ANYBODY lives in the Cookeville TN area looking for apartments or houses or even a condo I would call and recommend BUCKNER PROPERTIES!!!! Ask to speak to Mike very nice guy.

Many unlocked doors at all hours. The "security gate" is rarely attended, and even then they do not check incoming or outgoing traffic. The staff, although friendly and tries their best, is not adequate for the sheer number of temporary and permanent residents. They also lack basic resources, like working equipment, much less modern equipment. The amenities are terrible. No wi-fi. I realize many of your patients are older, but a great deal of them are into technology and would love to use their laptops for their own entertainment. I tried to find a cart (or luggage cart) to haul some stuff to my dad while he was here (a stereo and DVD player and storage) but nothing like that is to be found. Really??? In a place where people stay and are moving in and out all of the time, similar to a hotel, you have no way to help your patients feel more at home?!?!? Ridiculous. The food, although meeting nutritional guidelines, is quite bland and mediocre. Finally, the complex itself is an endless maze of nothing making sense. Their is no central check in, so good luck finding who you are looking for. I've been trying to not write this, since their is a chance of my dad going back, but we will pick a different rehab facility next time.

The therapy room fails to provide proper HIPPA protection. Exam/therapy tables are around the outer perimeter of the room. With different therapy equipment in the center of the room. Wide open visually and also it wasn't difficult to hear conversations regarding other patients. The doors to the room are wide open for fire code and such needs, I could record all I want from the hallway looking into the therapy room - the next thing I was told completely violated my patient rights and civil rights. When Emily Miller, OT, and Marie Schaff PT came out to ask me in. I asked if I can have my girlfriend record me getting the wheelchair and mobility evaluation done. I was told we can't do that due to HIPPA. No reasonable level of HIPPA is provided at RHI. I they have patients walking around for therapy in public spaces, the OT and PT room is one massively open space and not separate therapy rooms with sound and visual HIPPA protection. My simple request to record my activity should had been allowed. But RHI rather violates my rights by pretending HIPPA is the concern. 11 AM and 12 PM 02-16-23 This is what I experienced at: 4141 Shore Dr Indianapolis, Indiana 46254 Seen by: Emily Miller, OT and Marie Schaff, PT will be completing the wheelchair evaluation. & Cory R Moore, ATP - Assistive Technology Professional 7802 Moller Rd Indianapolis, Indiana 46268 Cory R Moore, ATP was present observing and took every measurement of my TiLite ZRA Series 1: (Also it was noted that they had my Serial # and all details of my wheelchair when originally prescribed.) Components: 1 Solid seat pan. 2 Rear drive wheels = Spinergy SPOX 24 inch. w/ solid real feel rubber tires. 1 TiLite ZRA Series 1 = 1 Titanium custom frame. 1 Open loop Titanium footrest. 2 Mono leg forks. 2 Soft roll casters. 2 Ergonomic Handrims I need a new TiLite ZRA Series 2 - the two down stems that are not made or sold any longer are loose and failed beyond repair. The forks connect here. Wheelchair prescribed in 2008 = 15 years old. Measurements: Seat position = from edge of solid seat pan - rear edge of seat pan. No measurements with me sitting on my cushion had been made. Frame leg angle: 80 degrees. Center of Gravity Footrest position Seat back position I was asked: How many hours do I spend in my TiLite ZRA Series 1: Over twelve hours? Does the use of the TiLite ZRA Series 1 allow you to: Get to the toilet? Yes. Allow you to bathe/shower? Yes Allow me to get to the kitchen. Yes Allow you to make meals? Yes Allow you to partake in helping with household chores? Yes as best I can. Allow me to be independent as much as possible. Yes So without the use of the TiLite ZRA Series 1 you would not be able to function? Correct. Any other wheelchair will not work for my medical needs. Only 2 parts of the wheelchair and mobility evaluation: Strength and range of motion were performed. On 12-21-22 Medicare had me get a full wheelchair and mobility evaluation in my home per the Medicare Wheelchair Replacement Policy. I was told that I only qualify for a STANDARD WHEELCHAIR the RHI employees & Cory R. Moore ATP. I made sure to ask both Emily Miller, OT, and Marie Schaff, PT they being RHI, not Numotion employees. I expected them to respond honestly. Can I try a manual wheelchair here to show how it affects me? Nothing was said. I did notice both the OT and PT look at Cory for his reaction. Cory stated no need, medicare won't cover a replacement since they didn't cover this one. How about an in-home evaluation to make sure I can even use a Standard Wheelchair in and around my home to complete daily living tasks? Same thing, both looked in fear at Cory for his reaction. We don't provide loaner wheelchairs. Cory R. Moore ATP stated after I asked: Yes, you will get the same medical benefits you got from your TiLite ZRA Series 1 as you will now from a Standard Wheelchair. When I mentioned asking The Joint Commission to look into my medical safety. Cory explodes into an uncontrolled rage, with pure hate on his face, and a look of nothing to lose: NO YOU WILL NOT THREATEN THE JOBS OF THESE TWO RHI EMPLOYEES! IF YOU GO DOWN THAT PATH I WILL SEE TO IT NUMOTION OR ANYONE ELSE WILL NOT HELP YOU! YOU ARE TRYING TO COERCE US INTO GETTING THE PROPER EQUIPMENT YOU WANT! DO YOU WANT ME TO WRITE IN YOUR CHART HOW YOU'RE COERCING US!?! This is when I left the therapy room to get the information of the Director/CEO of RHI.

Joined by Mrs. P.R. Mallory, they would expand into creating profitable handicrafts and in 1939 the group formally organized under the Indiana Society for Crippled Children. I'll admit it. The word crippled makes me cringe. A year later, the group affiliated with national Easter Seals and acquired an office at 30th and New Jersey. They've had various offices, however, they've been settled in at 4740 Kingsway Drive (think 47th & Keystone) since 1990. Today, Easter Seals is CARF accredited (This is a big deal) and offers physical, occupational, and speech therapies for children and adolescents along with early intervention programs, augmentative communication, adult day services, employment and transition services, veteran services, home modification services, assistive technology services, and deaf services. They offer a lot. For the last three years, I've served as a jury member for Easterseals Southern California's Disability Film Challenge. This has, in turn, increased my awareness of the local organization and the marvelous work they do. Of course, getting to know Yelper Katy E. (Hi Katy!) has also helped. As an organization, I love that Easter Seals participates in Project Search, an opportunity for young adults with disabilities to get some experience in a work setting. It's kind of like an internship and it's a wonderful program. Here in Indy, Easter Seals has offices on Kingsway Drive, Thompson Road on the Southside, and Crossroads Industrial Services on the Eastside. As another review has indicated, Easter Seals is also known for letting organizations use its big 5th floor meeting room. I work for the State of Indiana and even we've used it. The offices here are well kept. The building is obviously accessible. The people who work here are passionate about what they do - trust me, you don't work at a non-profit planning to get rich. You get paid fairly (and Easter Seals is good about this), but this is something you do because you actually care. For folks with disabilities, Easter Seals Crossroads is definitely one of Indy's hidden gems and best non-profits. They do remarkable work that leads to greater independence and empowerment and life opportunities. I'm all about that!

It's located in the office park off of Keystone and 46th and houses a lot of different companies. The building is kept very clean! But not in that sterile freaky way. It also gives the impression that it is kept very secure since every person needs to sign in. My only visit is the 5th floor, off the elevator and over to the large meeting room. Everything is clean, and we have never had issues with the internet connection for presentations. I also appreciate that it is a spacious meeting room with a lot of tables and chairs in the back. No one likes to be piled on top of each Other during long meetings. Thanks for the hospitality Easter seals!

The therapist has taken the time to listen to my son, they ask excellent questions and put him to work on getting better. They give him homework and they can tell if he does the work. Knowing I would have to go through another recovery process where I would be missing out on moments of my college experience was tough. With this injury, I was able to put pressure on my leg much quicker than my previous injury, meaning I was more nervous to walk than the first time where I was non weight-bearing for six weeks. When I arrived at Athletico for my first appointment, however, I knew I was in good hands. I worked with Ashley throughout my recovery process and couldn't be more thankful for her guidance in the recovery process. She was always very kind, responded well to my feedback towards exercises, and progressed me at a pace that allowed me to recover as fast as I did. Although I did not work with Dan and Jenna as much, I can confidently say that they would have done the same for me. The PT team at Athletico is one of the kindest bunches who cultivate a positive work environment. I could not only sense this from the constant jokes and encouragement, but also from the aids who work alongside the PTs matching their energy and guidance. The scheduling process with Athletico is extremely simple and I found myself being able to schedule myself at convenient times for 6-8 sessions at a time. Because of this, I was able to work Athletico into my weekly routine, leaving it closer to the front of my mind on days where I had appointments. Having this availability led to consistency, which gave me more confidence in my recovery going forward. The quality of exercises and programs that Athletico offers is extremely valuable as well. Each take-home exercise has a well-thought description to match the picture shown. There are also video representations of these exercises through Athletico's health portal for you to be able to see an example of a certain workout. In less than two months out from surgery, I was not only able to travel to Eugene, OR for my internship with USA Track & Field, but also hike up to the highest point of Spencer Butte Park. Athletico's take-home program prepared me with exercises and stretches to properly take care of myself before and after the hike. Without their guidance and care during the first few months of my recovery process, this hike with my friends in Eugene would not have been possible. In conclusion, I could not be more thankful for Athletico and their staff for helping me feel confident on my feet once again. The PT experience at Athletico is exceptional and I would recommend them to anyone recovering from an injury!
