Honey Bourbon Drunken Bird Sandwich (no cheese)

Delicious! The chicken is perfectly cooked, pretty good portions too. I'm usually wary about fried chicken because some places serve them so oily and it makes me feel gross, but this chicken was perfect. The lady was super friendly and helped me with my questions. I just wish it came with a free side, considering the $9.50 price for just the sandwich. Will definitely be going back!

I've been by this food truck many times, but finally decided to give it a try. The lady recommended the Secret Sesame wings so I went with it and when I received the wings I was genuinely surprised by how big the wings are. It not only looked good, but was very tasty and super juicy. The Secret Sesame sauce was not too overpowering and gave a little sweet kick. It puts BWW to shame with their small & dry wings that can easily take over 30 minutes to receive. The wait here was only less than 10 minutes for a fresh batch of wings. I will definitely come back and try some of their other flavored wings and maybe their chicken sandwich. The lady was very kind, courteous, and especially informative about their food being served.

Wow!! My boyfriend and I just had possibly the best chicken sandwiches of our lives from Kickin chicken wings. My bf actually had gone to our regular bbq place at the food cartel but I was intrigued after looking at kickin chicken wings menu and decided to switch it up and give it a try. I'm kinda picky about chicken and am usually disappointed so I was a little unsure. Lady taking orders was super nice and pleasant. I ordered the Thai chicken sandwich, they give you a little handheld buzzer thing to let you know when your order is ready which I appreciated. I got my sandwich and took one bite.. the first words out of my mouth were "wow!". So, so, so good! My bf took a bite of my sandwich after seeing my reaction even though he was full from his bbq, he immediately got up and ran over to order his own. He said it was "next level!" The sandwich reminded me of the type of sandwiches you see on tv or Instagram from foodie profiles. The chicken is so moist/tender sorry if you hate that word) and the breading was spot on and added perfect crispness. The cucumber on this sandwich adds a nice freshness along with the slaw. The peanut sauce is delicious and very rich. Seriously, go try this food cart! I can't wait to go back!

Got the honey bourbon drunken chicken sandwich and it was very disappointing. I got more flavor from the bread and greens then the actually chicken. Sandwich was bland and would highly pass for some of the other food carts .

Came here last week for a lunch meeting. For some reason, fried chicken was on my mind. I decided to get some food from here. The person working the cart was nice and friendly. The wait for food was not long. The Cluckin Hot Triple Pepper sandwich was good and large portion, but was definitely not as spicy as they indicated it to be. The jamaican dry jerk rub wings were not that flavorful and didn't have the spice I was hoping it had (maybe it's just me). The basket of tots were good as they were generous with the portions. Overall, not too bad of a place.

The chicken was hot and crispy, the sandwich was nice and big and we thought the sauce complimented the chicken really well.

This place has some of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten. Between the multitude of delicious sauces, the soft ciabatta rolls, and the flaky yet solid breaded chicken you cannot go wrong. They also serve chicken wings, boneless and traditional, and some great sides like onion rings. Everything is fairly priced rounding out the whole deal to be that much better.

10 boneless wings- thai sweet heat and sweet Sriracha sauces

Coming BG Food Cartel, I thought all the carts would be open until the food cartel area closed itself but that wasn't the case. Feeling like most of the carts were closing soon we stumbled upon this one...at just about 9pm on Friday a very late dinner was the situation and this food cart didn't have a line which was great! With my siblings we all got different things. I got 10 boneless wings ($14.50), half thai sweet heat sauce and half sweet Sriracha. My sister got a side of loaded fries ($8) and my brother got a chicken parmesan sandwich ($9). The wait wasn't bad at all for how hungry we were. Plenty of napkins were given to us when our order was called and plastic silverware available too. The boneless wings were a good size, like thick log shape and very crispy outer shell I would say from the batter then glazed on with the sauce. The thai sweet heat sauce was too sweet, mainly smelled and tasted the sweetness. The sriracha sauce had a really pleasant balance of the salty, spice, and sweetness, a great surprise compared to the thai sauce. Even my sister who can't eat spicy food really enjoyed the sweet sriracha. The loaded fries were covered in the bleu cheese (we originally thought it was sour cream) and buffalo sauce, which had an interesting after taste. It maybe because we weren't used to the buffalo sauce but it wasn't our favorite, mainly tasted the cheese sauce as an after taste. We picked around the sauce to just eat the fries. The chicken parm looked really fresh and good. From the presentation alone, we all wanted to have a taste of it. The chicken itself was good as well as the bread. However after eating half of it, there wasn't enough sauce to keep the sandwich moist. We ended up taking home a couple wings and the sandwich. It was good quality food and fast service, but some things were a hit or miss.

Kickin Chicken had great food! The wings were nice and crispy! Basically how wings should be fried up! I personally love plain fried wings, so when we ordered some for our 4-year-old, she loved the crispy-ness and the crunch! The meat was juicy and just right. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

Well, after finally getting a chance to browse all the pods, I found Dad's chicken, but nothing was grillin'. So I came back here to Pares PDX Express instead. Checked out the side menu, checked out the prices, and out comes a brutha from anotha mutha! Welcomes me, so I asked my pare "What's good?" He said, "Everything!" smh, "Damn!" A good sign :(but not a good sign for me healthwise:) haha! I asked how long he's been open, and he said, "Since September." Still fresh and new to me, so my yelpie duty was to support my locals. Here's what I ordered: Drawn to the Crispy Kare-Kare ($15), this caught my eyes! (Optional read) Typically, the Filipino kare-kare meat used is with cuts of chuck steak and boney beef neck. Some like using pork hocks. Sometimes kare-kare will have beef tripe added. But personally for me, I love my mom's version using oxtail. I don't like the neck, I don't need tripe, it's gotta be OXTAIL!!! Besides, it's all about the stew and the saucy peanut buttery flavor. About Pares PDX kare-kare version... I saw "Crispy" and knew this was referring to either crispy pata or lechon kawali (aka deep fried pork belly with skin). They serve their kare-kare with crispy pork belly, bok choy, long string beans, and eggplant. The stew of peanut sauce was drizzled on top. With the home-made shrimp bagoong (fried shrimp paste) in between. I would have stayed outside on the patio tables, but it was going to rain. So I rushed home, and mmm mmm mmm the pieces were still nice and crispy indeed! I haven't had pork belly in so long that I was in heaven, not worrying if I needed to go to the hospital afterwards lol. You can have the dish with plain rice or garlic rice. I chose the garlic rice, which is almost a given. A bit of more information: ~ They've got a QR code to view the menu and/or place an order. ~ Majority or nearly all of the dishes were $15 average. ~ To feed your eyes, there are pics of the dishes on the side of the truck. ~ Service was pleasant and fast. Can't say I'll ever order what I can make myself, like adobo, sisig, pinoy style spaghetti, or lumpia, but I will definitely be back to try their version of pansit palabok, laing, dinuguan, and turon. I'll even try their "halo halo" next time! The Filipino authenticity, kinda like mom's style is here! Come check them out!

Multiple times now, I have placed an order, watched the status change to "Confirmed" and even "Preparing," only for the restaurant or their system to cancel the order abruptly after the Dasher is already assigned or on their way. This is not just a minor inconvenience; it completely wastes time and effort planning a meal. A major contributing factor is that they frequently forget to close and update their DoorDash channel, showing they are available for online ordering when they are not. It gives the false hope that the food is on its way, only to be cancelled last minute, forcing a scramble to find dinner/lunch elsewhere. The management needs to seriously address their online order process, communication with delivery platforms, and their kitchen capacity. If you cannot fulfill an order, it should be rejected immediately, not 30-40 minutes after confirmation. Until this issue is fixed, I cannot recommend ordering from here, especially for delivery. It's too unreliable to depend on.

I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there.
