Quite the turn around... I've been a member since 08', back…read morewhen the cardio theatre room still existed, when we had a spin room, and had the old school iron plates. To say that this place had a face lift is an understatement. I can't help but express how esthetically pleasing it looks, from the inside and out. Let's first start with how the cardio theatre room no longer exists but instead, there's an open layout of cardio equipment (to the left when you first walk in). Majority of the machines are new or new(er) and aren't in dire need of repair. Which then leads me to the plethora of free weights and machines. One of the best things they could have done was have two of everything while still utilizing the same amount of space. The locker rooms have improved significantly, with all new lockers, tiles, and changing rooms. Now, with the good comes the bad. The obvious is that those upgrades weren't cheap, which means our memberships were affected by the changes and almost doubled in price. Last but certainly not least and something all the members have been waiting on for years is 24 hour access. To those like myself that have it, it's super convenient and does its job. Overall, the slight increase in membership dues is worth me continuing to be a member and it's time you became one, too!

She was super nice and comfortable to work with. She gave me some physical assignments and went over a regimen for me to follow to meet my goals. Today, a Monday, visited around 5:45p and the place was hustling and bustling but I was still able to snag a treadmill and I enjoyed using the Pulse room for the free weights. Wrapped it all up with 10 min on the Hydro Massage chair and then on my way. It was a good day.

Anyone Fitness is one of the 24-hour accessible gym franchises and therefore is great for anyone…read morewith a non-traditional schedule and(or) after-hours access requirements. This particular location is only a few weeks old as of June 2016 and is exceptional! From the exterior the gym is highly visible and well lit. Although the strip mall parking lot tends to run at capacity during typical business hours, the end of the lot where the gym is located tends to always have several spots available, parking has yet to have been an issue. The interior is bright spacious and well appointed with a nice selection of Life Fitness cardio machines, Hammer Strength machines, free weights, squat rack, smith and cable machines and the usual appointment of benches, barbells and dumb bells. There is also a section with calisthenics and TRX suspension training exquipment as well as mat and ball training equipment. With all new equipment and a smaller physical footprint than the large warehouse type gyms, anytime fitness is perfect for anyone wanting a more personal, in and out type experience. Staff is friendly and helpful and always available to assist or for training advice during typical business hours. The two managers Emily and Pam are great assets to the facility and are in fantastic shape themselves. It's mentioned on the website that Pam started in fitness with a weight loss journey of her own, losing 150 lbs and has been featured on the Today Show's Joy Fit Club and in Fitness Magazine. Their membership plans are reasonable and right on par with comparable gyms. Currently they are running a no signup fee promotion as well as a free 7-day trial for anyone wanting to try out the facility that maybe interested in membership without making an initial commitment.

I understand that the showers are shared facilities and that people should be considerate of…read moreothers' time. I was in the shower area for approximately 40 minutes, which I acknowledge is longer than I should have been. However, I had to use the restroom first, and it took longer than I anticipated. Sometimes you simply don't know what another person may be dealing with, and I believe there should be some understanding in situations like that. At approximately 30 minutes, the employee knocked on the door and asked me to hurry. I did get out shortly afterward. When I came out, there was no one waiting to use the shower, so I was disappointed with the way the situation was handled. Edit after the owner/employee contacted me: After posting this review, I received a phone call from the employee. She called specifically to tell me how long I had been in the shower and informed me that she had blocked my access card from the facility. I had already acknowledged in my original review that I had been there longer than I should have been, so I'm not disputing that. What I do want to clarify is her response regarding the availability of other facilities. There is another women's shower and a unisex bathroom, so my understanding is that there were other restroom facilities available while I was using the shower. I attempted to explain my side of the situation during the phone call, but I was not given an opportunity to do so before the call was ended. I would have been completely willing to have a respectful and reasonable conversation about what happened. I can accept being told that I exceeded the expected shower time. What I found disappointing was the way the situation was handled afterward. There is a difference between enforcing a reasonable facility policy and how you choose to communicate with a customer. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location.

Most of the staff that works at the facility are very cordial. The facility is kept clean and orderly through the workout areas and in the restrooms. The equipment for the most part it's always kept in good working order. I only have two complaints. 1. It will probably be nice if they had hanging punching bags. (Suggest these could easily be installed in one the 2 class workout rooms). 2. The music is played extremely loud at times. Other than those two issues I would highly recommend the facility.

They kept trying to upsell me every other word and kept pushing me to get the more expensive memberships, I said no and asked for month to month. When I went in to cancel my membership they informed me that I had been fraudulently signed up for a 24 month contract, I'm not even going to be in the area that long, why would I sign up for that? So apparently if you refuse the more expensive membership, they illegally sign you up for them anyway and leave no possible way to get out of it. Apparently nobody in the gym can cancel it, they tell you to call a number and then the call center gives you a fake email amd I have been doing this roundabout for weeks now. This place is a scam and what they did to me is illegal, protect yourselves people. I hope your corporate finds this and you all get fired. I will be posting a review every single day till I get results.

Nutiformance Gym came highly recommended by a friend, and I can see why! The facility is clean,…read morewell-equipped, and has a great energy. Dale and Ellie, the owners, are incredibly welcoming and clearly passionate about building a strong fitness community. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the coaches, Amy Strahan, wasn't what I hoped for. I attended a class that wasn't beginner-friendly, despite being new to the gym. Throughout the session, Amy repeatedly suggested I sign up for one-on-one coaching with her, which felt more like a sales pitch than genuine guidance. It left a sour impression. That said, I'm not giving up on Nutiformance. I plan to return and try classes with other coaches--I believe there's a lot of potential here, and I'm hopeful my next experience will be more supportive and aligned with my fitness level.

The J offer's free classes for the public that happen throughout the day for all types of fitness levels including (Yoga, Aquatic Classes, Cycling, Pilates, Insanity, Zumba etc) The J has awesome lockers for the public (free) where you don't need a key or anything. The J does not have any hot Yoga Classes that some people are a fan of which I believe Lifetime has some. If you're looking for olympic platforms, the J in Chesterfield has 2, but the J in Creve Couer does not. The gym itself has everything else you're looking for, bench presses, squat racks, tons of machines, treadmills, stairmasters, ellipticals etc. It doesn't get too crowded except right after work (around 4:30-6:30) Both J locations have an awesome outdoor pool opened in the summer and lap lanes opened for the indoor. They both have 2 basketball courts, that unfortunately are sometime rented out to the public for events (that can be very frustrating) They have year round league basketball if you want to signup and play for more competitive play; they offer racketball and squash at all times, with reserved times for pickleball, ping-pong, and badminton. All in all if you're looking for a gym comparable to Lifetime, closer to where you live this place is great. Negatives: Parking during basketball league times can be annoying. The basketball courts are rented out randomly.

For nearly $400 a month, I expected a premium fitness club--not an employee-led scavenger hunt…read more Sharon, a personal trainer at LifeTime Fitness in Frontenac, apparently believes that returning equipment to the place it belongs is just a fun suggestion. Members spend enough time working out without having to tour the entire gym looking for equipment that was left somewhere else. When I mentioned that the equipment should be put back where it came from, Sharon's professional response was to tell me to "mind your own business" and that "it doesn't matter" where the equipment is returned. Interesting philosophy. I wonder if LifeTime feels that way, too. You can almost understand when an occasional member leaves equipment lying around. But when it's an employee--someone who's literally being paid to teach good habits--it's a masterclass in hypocrisy. Maybe the next training package should include a session called "How to Return Equipment 101." It's a short class: pick it up, walk it back, and put it where you found it. For a club that markets itself as a luxury fitness experience, I'd expect trainers to set the example--not encourage members to lower their standards. Apparently, "mind your own business" is now considered customer service.
