I'll start by saying I loved this place when it opened. We were there about every weekend if not every other. As time went on the food started to go downhill along with the service. The staff acts as if they are doing a favor to serve me. The owner is extremely rude. In a specific situation my girlfriend was finishing a coffee from starbucks inside while we were waiting on a table. He comes up to her, snatches the drink from her hand, and opens it to make sure there is no alcohol in it. I can understand to some degree that the guy wants to make sure that everyone is abiding by the rules but really? By the way we both look young, so there can be some confusion on what we might do I guess?? But to steriotype my girlfriend or myself into being something... I'll never go back. I'll happly go right across the street to the Ale House. The food is better there anyway. read more

Where do u start? Don't waste your time here.... The food is typical freezer to fryer bar food. Nothing impressed me here...and it shouldn't you, unless you're a frat boy. Best place in town to watch a game at. Friendly and attentive staff. They have a million TVs and great greasy game day food.

Sloooowwww service. The cheese fries were fantastic and the kids food was pretty good, but I got the greasiest burger I've ever eaten. The bottom bun was soaked through and I could only stomach a few bites. And the baked potato that was a 75 cent up charge was over cooked and had so much butter on it you couldn't even taste it. So this place is great if you want to eat grease and butter. And then stare at grease and butter for 15 minutes waiting for a waitress to pick up your credit card. read more

Service was just okay; our server was not very present and only checked on us once or twice after taking our order. The food I ordered, the Cajun shrimp pasta, was awful quality- especially for the price. It tasted like a frozen dinner you buy at Walmart. read more

I am not very pleased with my service this past time. Me and my family come to Kickback Jacks at least once a week! Tonight I ordered my meal and asked if I could pay extra to get my fries loaded. My waitress comes back to inform me that the manager acts like that is absolutely impossible to do....there is a CHEESE FRY appetizer on the menu. Please tell me how come you can't load my side of fries just like your cheese fry AND tater tot appetizer???? Totally dissatisfied! read more

by far the worst staff at a restaurant I have ever experienced. It's as if the company only hires incompetent girls who can't simply do their job. It was empty at the time I was there yet I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for a server to serve us due to the fact that they were hanging out and talking at the host stand and not doing their job. I waited almost 15 minutes until I went up to them to see if they were going to stop chit chatting and actually do their job. Once our sever finally came to our table she was slurring her words and seemed to have little to no knowledge about the menu. Seems like the staff needs to be trained better or more competent employees need to be hired. Very bad look for the company read more

Ordered Coors light, was not asked if I wanted a large or small, received a small Coors light Order our lunch at same time. I ordered an All American burger medium well with fries. My wife ordered a hot Italian sub with fries and a side of ranch Food arrived at 12:45. Cooked as ordered Food was good burger was a bit salty. Was asked if we need anything further at 1:04. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have always loved KBJ at other locations. We had no issues with our bartender or my food. However, my friend's food came out so extremely spicy that she was unable to eat it. She asked that it be removed from her bill because she didn't want anything else. The manager, Brogden, came out and was unprofessional and rude from the first second. He said he would not take it off the bill because it was made with the same recipe as always. My friend said it was so hot that it was inedible, and she didn't want to pay for it. He said she could pay for it, walk out the door, and never come again...or he would call the cops and she would be escorted out. He spoke down to her in such a condescending manner. She said, "you don't need to speak to me like I'm five years old." He responded, "obviously I do. Are we good?" Then he walked away. I have never experienced anything like this before or seen any other customer be spoken to in this way. Managers at restaurants take care of their customers and try to make them happy, giving them the best experience possible so they want to come back. I was speechless as I watched this encounter. If your looking for a place to watch football games this is the place. Tons of tv's so you never have to miss a moment of the game!! A very spacious restaurant with a covered out door area. The staff was nice and had the food out in no time. I recommend if your in the mood for a salad to try the Santa Fe chicken salad. read more

I'm giving 2 stars because the Red Oak was cold and on Special for $3 & the mac & cheese bites were pretty good, but the food & service were mediocre. I had a weird chicken bone in my wrap & the fries were pretty burnt. After asking for silverware twice, we gave up. Told us we couldn't use our "e-cigs" when there were like 4 other people in the restaurant and my friend barely blew any vapor out. I thought it was a bit rude. Not a fan of this place, lots of potential but probably won't go back. read more

This was my first time visiting based on suggestions from friends. Ordered the tater tot special and the tots were not crispy and on the soggy side. Also ordered the grilled chicken salad which said it came with crisp bacon. It looks like it came with soft bacon bits. Really disappointing. First 3 times eating here was great. The wings, shrimp po boy and grilled chicken sandwich were very tasty. The most recent time was a takeout order and I had the Grilled Salmon salad and it was terrible. The salmon was disgusting. I will go back but will never get the salad again. read more

Horrible customer service. They took my reservation, And when we got there they said they gave it away. They made us wait an hour before seating us, And then gave us attitude about it. Not to mention that our waitress took forever to get us anything. When I brought a complaint to the manager he was very rude to us. He told us that they didn't take reservations. He made no attempt at all to try to fix the situation. And the worst part is the food was mediocre at best. Save yourself some hassle. Awful awful awful run..... Thursday night character nights are fun! Cheap kids meals too & grilled wings are always good

On our visit to Wilmington, we stopped in. Food was what we expected and typical of a sports bar. But it was hard to enjoy our meal. There was a woman manager working that evening and we could hear her using profanity at the hostesses. We have a daughter ourselves and couldn't imagine her being spoken to that way. It was a week night and we were shocked to see a high school student working at midnight. (We know because we asked.). So what if the food is decent? How could anyone with a conscious enjoy it knowing these young girls are treated so poorly. We will never set foot back into that place again. read more

We used to go here every week for about a year. But then things started going wrong, terribly wrong. We gave it 4 more chances and every time we swore we wouldn't go back. Orders would be completely wrong, the wings got smaller and smaller and the managers did nothing. It wasn't even worth it. There are other wing places who are at least consistent. If you like baby chicken wings, this is a good spot. If you don't like them, you might get lucky and get normal sized chicken wings, but I wouldn't count on it. read more

We picked this place for our large group of 35 (Soccer team) and they assured us that they could handle us with no problems. Problems, however, were certainly had! No high chairs, kids not welcome here! Drink orders- 35min before we saw first glass and it was Carbonated water instead of the Sierra Mists ordered by several of our boys. 45 min until i got my Tea, which was empty way before my order got taken. Never did get a re-fill. Several adults in our group ordered beers and wished they had ordered 2 or 3 cause they never got a second one. Food orders- lets just say we saw food at 2hrs hours. I ordered a chicken sandwich, got a wrap and was told that was what i ordered. Wierd, i dont care for them and never order them. We arrived at 715 and at 930 i had to request my check cause the younger kids were done for. Our waitress. Indeed, really just one. Poor girl got called in and stuck with us and no backup. She ran around trying to do ten things at one time and forgetting 6 of them. I dobt blame her, i blame her boss. She was set up for failure. I had to give a star so i will give it to the show. Not the TVs, the show where two staff members collided destroying a pizza and another order from our group. Could not help laughing when they said, "dont worry, we will remake those"........ when.....11pm at the rate they were going. Never again. read more

We went to Kickback Jack's since it was new and always seemed busy. We first walked up to the hostess stand with 3 hostess' standing there. They looked at u and continued on whatever they were doing for about a minute or so before they even said hi. When they finally did, it was not very welcoming. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, which is nothing unusual on a weekend. We decided to walk around and grab a beer and see what they offered. Beer selection was okay, but when we asked for one of the beers on display it took the bartender about 10 minutes to go find it out back. The bartenders were not anything to write home about. Neither rude nor overly friendly. When we finally sat down and looked at the menu, we were not impressed. A very unoriginal menu or burgers, and fried stuff. Don't go there if you have any special dietary concerns and think you may be able to get something. There does not seem to be many healthy substitutes or options. The service was definitely not impressive. It seems that this restaurant picked up the girls that were either rejected from Hooters or fired from Buffalo Wild Wings. They were not that great at their job, and maybe it was due to the learning curve of a new restaurant, but there's only so steep a learning curve can climb. Needless to say after all my rambling, we will not be going back to Kickback Jack's. And we continue to tell all of our friends or anybody else who goes there how horrible the place is. If I am going to spend money on overpriced greasy food, I'll go get a burger and shake at Cookout down the road. read more

First time here. Service wad good, fun atmosphere. The chicken philly was good, i added mushrooms and peppers. Food portions were enormous. Also had the fried pickles which were decent. Fried pickles were heavily breaded, but the breading was good. Much different than say buffalo wild wings. read more

So this place has always been ehh for me. I would try different things and not really like it but once I found something that I love then I stick to it. The food that I got here wasn't always the same. I would something that sound good a few times and it would taste different every time. Some of the things that I love are amazing cheesy bread that actually went up in price, chicken quesadilla, buffalo chicken wrap, and the shrimp po boy is pretty good. Everything else that I tried were just alright. Heard their wings are really good but haven't got the chance to try it out. Went here after months of not going and remembered a new management has taken over. Vibe and atmosphere was still the same. Ordered our drinks and first thing I noticed their cups weren't as big which I didn't mind. Got some drinks and they were pretty good. Food came out really fast and it was a lot better than my pass experience. Ordered cheesy bread extra crispy came out really good, chicken quesadilla so Much better than before, Mac and cheese wedges which were actually surprisingly good, and side order of fries which were pretty good I normally don't like their fries. It was just a buffet of not so good food for you but it really good. I would defiantly be more willing to come in after this experience. read more

It is what it is, a sports bar with sports bar quality food. I do like the fresh cut fries. I don't see it being a family destination, because it's too loud. I think the designers built the dinning room too large, meaning the kitchen must have a challenging time getting out the food and maintaining consistantcy. read more

Take your business to the ale house or Jax because kick back jacks has the worst food out of all of these places and the service is always pretty bad and has declined a lot over the past year. The worst part about this restaurant though is the management team. They don't care enough to fix guests problems and always make you pay for food or drinks that are inedible and also always have an attitude about it. The general manager should be fired and replaced with someone who actually cares about customer service, and this is coming from someone who has worked in the restaurant business for 15 years. read more

First time eating here. I got the chicken platter thinking no one can mess up a chicken platter. Their breading was very gross. It was sour tot he taste as well as their fries so I'm assuming the grease they're using is old or just bad. A good surprise however was apparently Thursday's kids eat for .99 cents. I'm a frequent KBJ client. All items on their menu are awesome. Food is great, drinks are killer, and service is incomparable. Specifically, Grace M. and Sydney M. are incredible servers. Anything you need, they're on it. Not to mention the wonderful management. If is something below your expectation, they're happy to have a conversation with you to make it better next time.
