I have dined at this location a couple times. Unfortunately, this time was disappointing. I want to start off with the condition of the restaurant. The floor is dirty, the bathrooms are pretty gross, and the "Ziosk" tablets that you use to pay for your meal are greasy and have food on them. The quality of the food here is just ok. We were eligible to redeem a free chips & salsa, and unfortunately the chips were room-temperature (not fresh) and a few were stale. The salsa is good, but is equivalent to the Tostitos brand salsa. I got the triple dipper, which if you don't know comes with your choice of three different appetizers, in the portion of a meal for one person. The southwestern egg rolls aren't really my thing, but I can see why somebody else would like them. The chicken tenders were pretty fine, but were slightly tough. The mozzarella sticks are ALWAYS good (cheese pull)!!!! Our server was kind, but unfortunately was not very attentive. My drink had been sitting at empty for about 8 minutes with him walking by numerous times before I asked him to refill it. Server commented on what i was eating, looked me up and down and told me only one other person in 7 years had ordered as much food as i did. She then proceeded to tell me to disregard the comments i was going to hear the kitchen making about my order. The kitchen never even commented on anything i ordered. I am shocked at how much I enjoyed my delivery meal tonight . Quite honestly, I wasn't expecting this meal to be good and average at best. This was far better than what I thought. I was craving a steak and other places were extremely expensive so I went with the 6 oz sirloin for $19.00. I ordered it rare without any garlic butter. It came with broccoli and asparagus. This visit was on Feb 22, 2023. After my friend picked me up from the airport we stopped here for a late lunch. Our waitress was the same as my last visit, Ronnie. She is upbeat, friendly and always makes sure we are happy. We tried the $5 margaritas. Not bad. Could not eat all our food so it went home for lunch the next day. We got the triple decker. Our SW eggrolls were great the next day. Never use the microwave, but rather heat them in the oven. This is my go to lunch place when I visit Wilmington. Thanks Ronnie for great service. read more

Sadly, I come here quite frequently. I like the kids cheese pizza. It's simple and fills me up. But, my friends never want to come eat here with me and I understand why. I mean the food that I order is usually fine, but for my friends that are not as picky eaters as me and like to branch out and try fun things, they're usually disappointed. For example, the side of macaroni and cheese is hardly a side. It's more like a sample. And 8 times out of 10, when we get chips and salsa, the salsa is pure water. My boyfriend likes to call it tomato water. That's basically what it is. it hardly sticks onto the chip when you dip it into the salsa. We got the southwest egg rolls, buffalo wings, and the big mouth bites. Everything was so delicious. For dinner we got the chicken crispers, cajun pasta, and the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas. The chicken crispers were so crispy and loved that it came with two sides. The new mac and cheese was pretty good with it as well! My first time to Chili's in Wilmington. I usually go for the local places but this Friday night needed some TexMex and... it was a random pick. The restaurant was very clean and we were seated in just a few minutes. We started off with the cheddar bites, they were great! I usually go with the south west egg rolls or some chips and salsa but I'm glad we tried something different and it was delicious! Good amount and left us wanting more. I ordered the Mango-chili chicken and the sides that were recommended. It was smaller than I was expecting but I was very full after dinner, so obviously enough! My boyfriend is still talking about the burger.. the Texas fries on the other hand, were very dry, like they were in the back waiting on us for a bit. Food and drinks were delicious, brought out quickly, hot and fresh. They even had a fun Halloween themed margarita-- DELISH !!! We got a triple dipper appetizer with fried mozzarella, sliders, and honey chipotle tenders. Great deal and good way to try some different stuff. The only positive thing I can say about this location is that the front door host and our server/wait staff were great! Everything else after that was horrendous. The food was beyond horrible, the establishment itself is dingy, needs an update and just looks sticky and dirty... there's really something about it that makes it look sticky lol. The food was dry and we think chef Mike cooked it in fact we're almost positive Chef Mike was responsible for how that food tasted (microwave). On top of that, the chips they gave us for our spinach dip appetizer we're falling apart... we'd pick up the chips and they'd crumble in our hands it was like an Aprils fool joke lol. I Just left this chilis where i was told that my Military ID was not accepted as a form of identification( i showed my military ID because my Driver's license was expired) Requested to speak with the manager, after waiting about 15/20 minutes the manager (Nate) came to the table and said "this ain't no mom & pop restaurant, maybe at that type of restaurant you could use that but you can't use it here." Nate then said "i thank you for your service but you can't drink here." I'm 25 years old. In the state of NC i thought the main forms of ID were 1) Drivers License 2) military ID 3) DMV issued ID & 4) Passport.
