Five stars isn't enough. I don't want to exaggerate but this is as good of a spot as I have been to in a long time. The building itself is this cool, brick with a great aesthetic. The service was unbelievable, shoutout Allie. The food was incredible. The chicken pesto sandwich was delicious. Extensive beer and whiskey list. Just an absolute must visit if you're in Wilmington.

SHRIMP PO'BOY with coleslaw

Sat at the bar for lunch. One bartender, very nice, for very large bar. Served drinks promptly but lunch was a long time coming even with few customers. Lunch was delicious.

Stopped in prior to attending concert at river pavillion... our service from Katie was impeccable! Super friendly very informative and great suggestions! We ordered wings the sweet bourbon glaze and garlic parm wings ordered crispy... also had the rebel yell sandwich and burger and also steak sandwich... only suggestion was a little more seasoning for bourbon wings and the rebel yell sandwich was very salty... we loved our service ... the bar restaurant is super clean and welcoming ... and menu had a nice selection also great choice in bourbons and craft beers xoxo

Nachos

The restaurant wasn't that busy and there was a lot of staff, yet the service was still kind of slow. The nachos were large and really good. The other dish in the pictures is the Mac and cheese. The flavor was good, and it was a little bit on the spicier side. There are a lot of drink options to choose from and tvs to watch sports. The environment was good and the restaurant is great for larger groups and families.

Fancy Philly with tater tots.

Food and service was great. Food came quick. No wait time. We got the fancy Philly and tator tots.

Giant pretzel hot, soft, unique cheese dip!

Pork belly and giant pretzel were awesome. Pretzel was hot and soft and the cheese sauce was unique and delicious. Not crowded when we arrived but service was looking a little harried. Nice guy. Old fashioned were smoked, yum. We maybe set our expectations a little high because of all the fantastic distilleries we also tried in the area. Love the name!!

Friday visit, party of 4. Here is what we liked: * Immediate seating with mostly high tops and the bar. * Large drink selection, many choices for spirits. * The pork belly appetizer was good. Crisp and a bit meaty. * The burgers were all good, everyone had a burger and all thought they were good. * Tater tots had a good seasoning and the waffle fries were good. * Service was great- believe his name was Chapman(?) solid funny guy and knew what he was doing. What could of been better: * Tue candied bacon was just ok, think it should be a thicker cut. * While the tater tots were seasoned good, they were lukewarm at best.

The house bubbles are reasonably priced. The pork belly is cooked to perfection! The pretzel is humongous! Great attentive service and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.

Wild Bunch burger with tots.

My husband and I finally went to Rebellion for lunch. We've been in the area for over four years. It's a cool place with a huge bar. Too hot to sit outside today, so we sat inside. It wasn't crowded at all but it fill up a bit by the time we left. I had the Rebel Yell, which consisted of smoked turkey, bacon, cheese, tomato and mornay cheese sauce on sourdough bread. It was excellent, although pretty messy with the yummy sauce - ask for extra napkins. I had a side of roasted Brussel sprouts that were served in a lemon butter sauce and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. It was a large portion. My husband had the Wild Bunch burger with shaved ribeye, chimichurri, mozzarella, tomato, arugula and a spicy mayo; and a side tots. He really liked it. We both brought half our sandwiches home, as they were quite filling. Very friendly service by Melina. And lots of good music playing in the background. We'll be back.

A SHEET TRAY NACHOS

Enjoyed the biggest order of delicious nachos EVER here earlier this month! At least 3 meals in one order. Perfectly arranged with the freshest ingredients. And enjoyed a couple great craft cocktails too with new friends while hanging out in this friendly and festive ambiance. This place is big enough for many conversations to be had amongst friends without disturbing your neighbors. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and definitely contributes to this place's vibe too. A go to hangout place now for sure when I'm in town!

HOLY SHEET TRAY NACHOS (my hand next to it to show size and it still doesn't do it justice)

Ask the Community - Rebellion NC

Is this actually a Confederacy themed restaurant? I mean, between being named Rebellion and the Rebel Yell being on the menu and the pseudo Civil War era flag decor?

Dumb question. Quit searching for ways to be offended.

Great atmosphere, cozy and quiet seating, and just an all-around neat place to spend some time. The doorman was also extremely friendly and welcoming. There is a $5 membership fee to join, which we didn't mind. I ordered one of their specialty cocktails from the menu and it was very good. My wife ordered a Cosmo, however, and unfortunately hers was a completely different story. Instead of a traditional Cosmo, it was made with a very heavy amount of lime juice. It was cloudy, extremely lime-forward, and simply wasn't what she ordered or expected. She didn't even finish it. This is one of my pet peeves with cocktails: if someone orders a standard drink--a Cosmo, margarita, etc.--make the standard drink unless they ask for something different. A bartender's personal flair can be great in a house specialty, but it shouldn't automatically be added to a classic cocktail. When the bartender noticed she hadn't finished it, he said, "You should have told me." Fair enough--but once we explained that she didn't like the drink, we were still charged for it. That was disappointing. What makes it more frustrating is that my wife had been here previously and another bartender made her Cosmo perfectly, which is one reason we came back. Overall, the Blind Elephant has a lot going for it. The atmosphere is terrific, my specialty cocktail was excellent, and we really like the concept. We're three-times-and-you're-out people, so we'll give it another shot or two. Hopefully next time Martha gets the Cosmo she remembers, because we'd really like to have a reason to keep coming back. For now: 3 stars.

There are more regulars here than I've seen at any other bar in town. They really work hard to get involved in the community, support our troops and veterans, and welcome any soul of any kind that walks in their doors. It's the people that make this bar what it is, and what it is is your classic military, neighborhood dive bar. Pour House is located on the main street downtown, on the corner of Market and Front St. It's a basement pub with little seating and not the cleanest restrooms you'll ever experience. You come for the quality conversation and good drinks. They do watch parties, participate in downtown bar crawls, holiday parties, sex toy bingo, and much more. Check their social media for upcoming events! Drink wise, they have local beers on tap from Edward Teach, Wilmington Brewing Co, New Anthem and more. They have all your general bar drinks, whiskey coke, gin and tonic, bloody marys, etc. All the locals rave about their cold brew coffee shots! I haven't had those but I have had the Orange Creamsicle shots and they're out of this world good. Checkout the specials board, they know what they're doing and come up with cool new stuff often. Real cool local gem, not a place for the family though!
