I was first diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in 2019, and I underwent lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. After a second cancer diagnosis in 2024 (this time hormonal), I decided to undergo a double mastectomy. I chose to stay flat because implants and flaps were not for me. I had healing issues and developed necrosis in a large area of tissue, which also formed keloid scars And fibrosis. The tissue started to become increasingly stiff, and the doctors I saw in Spain told me that if I did nothing, the problem would worsen over time. This tissue would continue to adhere more and more to my chest bones, and I would lose more and more mobility. I visited many surgeons until I found Dr. Khouri (thank you, internet!). Dr. Khouri was the only one who gave me a non-mutilating option: a full reconstruction using my own fat. I am a slim person, but that hasn't been a problem at all. Dr. Khouri is very experienced in working with all kinds of patients, and his track record in fat transfer surgery is incomparable to that of any other surgeon. He is a pioneer, and for me, that makes all the difference. Since I started treatment with Dr. Khouri a few months ago, I feel that I will be able to put an end to a very complicated phase of my life. It has been 7 years since my first cancer diagnosis; it's a long, very tough process for breast cancer patients, and you rarely come across people who are as deeply involved in improving the quality of life of patients as Dr. Khouri. My opinion: Dr Roger Khoury is not a good surgeon, he destroyed my hand…read more He performed liposuction on my abdomen, surgically attached to my hand a weird contraption I believe he invented and inserted metal rods into my hand without clearly explaining all of these procedures to me beforehand. All of this to alleviate my arthritic condition. According to him the surgery did not go well and I went through hell for three months. I saw him at his office in May 2023 and have not seen him in person since then, mind you I had surgery in June and July 2023. Be wise, avoid the Miami Hand Center and Roger Khoury MD.

My implant on my radiated side never felt right and looked aweful, so I did about a year of research and found Dr K . I traveled from Texas to see him. In 2014 when I had my BC recon in Texas there was mesh put in with my implants and It killed breast tissue around it I started my journey with Dr K in 2021. My reconstruction took longer since that mesh was there but after we figured it out and got it removed my procedures took well I love Dr K and I'm very thankful for everything he's done for me . She continued to be in pain for months, recovery took forever, and she is now scarred in areas that he was never supposed to touch. After the surgery, the saccharine, sweet staff turned sour and unresponsive. At the post-op visit, he actually scolded my sister, accusing her of not following pre-op directions, because she bled so much on the table! She had followed his instructions to the T! This man is a butcher and should not be practicing medicine. I pray for anyone desperate enough to go to him. He does not seem to care about his patients, and I doubt the reviews that claim he does are genuine. I've noticed he has multiple listings on Yelp for the same few businesses. When he gets too many negative reviews, he creates a new business page. Huge red flag! I urge you to research him on other platforms, including Google. If you continue to scroll, you will see the buried negative reviews of what he and his staff have done to so many poor women who came to him for help, but instead ended up disfigured and severely traumatized. It would have been nice if they would have mention that it's above the West Marine and that the stairs are on the right of it. It also sucked that I was calling and calling to ask them for directions and they didn't pick up the phone. I called 4 times and it just rang and rang. I managed to find the place and I even called them as I waited in the waiting room and just as I expected, the phones didn't ring. They had the volumes taken off which is a nice trick to not take care of customers on the phone. I was the ONLY client there, so it's not like they were busy taking care of anyone or the phones. And yes, it was the correct number because it was the one I originally used to make my appointment. SERVICE: I've never met such lifeless people at a front desk. I know service went to crap after the pandemic but this was something else. No one smiles and no one looks at you in the eyes. I waited quite some time for the doctor to come in to see me. I was the ONLY client there and I saw him on his phone (cell not work phone) while I passed his office. So why the insane wait time? I waited 45mins siting in the lobby before I was called in, and again... I was the ONLY client there. You can tell when people don't really care about the business. This probably wasn't his business so not much skin in the game (pun intended). The consultation was pretty efficient, that's the only thing I liked. DECOR: The inside was small and awkward. There was a nice view in the room I was waiting in for the doctor. The outside made me anxious to go inside. SUMMARY: I could have the same things done elsewhere, I'm not sure I'd come here again.

I was not given time to properly consider or consent. His reason was that he preferred the projection. I was clear from the start that I wanted a smaller, natural result. Because of this last-minute change, the outcome is the opposite of what I agreed to. The implants are overly projected and firm, with very visible scarring and noticeable veins due to how tight they are. At a follow-up appointment, the surgeon raise his voice when I shared my concerns. The office offered a refund at that visit, but later said it would only be issued if I sign a non-disclosure agreement. I declined the NDA and still have not received my refund months later.

I called to set up my consultation and dealt with Lucy. She was so nice and made me so happy. I remember getting off the phone and smiling because I was so excited about my consultation. Consultation: The following Tuesday I arrived at my consultation. I was so nervous but the entire staff made me feel comfortable and they were so welcoming. I changed into the gown and Dr. Craft came in with a sweet nurse! I didn't get her name but she has always been so sweet! He spent a lot of time with me! He went over everything, answered all my questions, gave his advice, and listened to what I WANTED. He was so informative and I knew that I wanted to start the process. She took my blood and informed me about everything! What to do, what not to do, and everything I needed to do before my surgery. I remember her telling me about her son; she was so sweet! She said most people don't remember her much since they get knocked out but how could I forget such a sweet lady! Dr. Craft came in and went over the game plan with me. He marked me up and made sure we were on the same page. I went into surgery 100% confident and excited. I wasn't nervous at all. Everyone was so nice and explained what they were doing to me. I knew I was about to knock out when the lights were swaying back and forth and I was 100% calm. I woke up and April was there, she brought my fiance in and I went hope. Later that night Dr. Craft called me and we talked. He explained to me how the procedure went and told me instructions for going forward. This meant a lot to me and just made me so happy that I picked him to do my surgery. Recovery: As I'm writing this I'm about 6 weeks post op. I have followed their instructions religiously and have worn my fajas 23.5/24 hours a day. The follow-up appointments have been great and the support has been so great. I did lymphatic massages with Janet and she was great!! Since I only got a little bit of lipo I only had to do 4 sessions but it helped reduce the swelling so much. Worth every penny. She was great and I enjoyed getting to know her.
