This woman is the worst doctor I have ever had the misfortune of seeing in my life. I don't understand where the positive reviews come from but I will tell you my experience was absolutely abhorrent, horrible and did not meet even the bare minimum standard of care for a so called doctor. I called her office for an appointment and was asked if I wanted a 30 minute or 1 hour appointment. How am I supposed to know that? Ironically, she spent all of 3to 5 minutes in the room for my appointment. Yes, you read that right. I arrived at her office at 10:50am am for an 11:00am appointment and was greeted by someone who said she shares office space but she's not her receptionist. She has no receptionist and no one was there to help. It's a weird space that doesn't even look like. medical office. All very strange. I called while I was waiting in the lobby to ask what was going on, no answer. Then she shows up at 11:45 with many patients waiting in the lobby already and nowhere to sit while princess showed up 45 minutes to 1 hour late. She didn't even begin taking patients right away. Eventually she called me and I told her some of my concerns, not all because she was very rude. She made me very uncomfortable because she was on the computer the whole time and not really having a consult. She kept trying to end the conversation and leave the room. She told me about a medication for my condition and said "there are two options" but explained no further. I had to keep asking, as you prescribing both? She just said "Yes" again no other explanation. Do I use both? "No, just pick one". like that the whole time. It was extremely unpleasant. She didn't even apologize for being over an hour late and had the worst attitude and god complex. She spent all of five minutes in the room, half of which she spent scolding me and saying that if I made an appointment I had to keep it and that people needed to be respectful of other people's time, when she was an hour + late!!! I could not believe that she looked at me with a straight face treating me like a child about being on time and respecting people's time when she is shamelessly late, has an attitude and spent 3 minutes in the room. She also spent some time telling me I better made sure I asked all questions during the visit because I couldn't call after to ask any questions at all and I couldn't email either. Ironically, she kept trying to leave the room! So I couldn't ask her any questions. She never explained even the name of the medications she was prescribing, she also didn't explain how to use them or for how long. This woman not have a medical office at all, she is horrible. Overall a good experience. Dr Chacon is very easy to work with, very eager to help and explain various conditions, friendly and has all around impeccable bedside manners. Office experience very positive as well, handled insurance etc with care. My only negative is that she did not sound too knowledgeable about any "advanced" conditions and I don't think she spent too much time looking at potential issues on my skin. I think she relied on the fact that I'm a healthy young adult overall so I guess she didn't expect any issues but that was exactly the reason I have my annual checkup. read more

They consistently double book my appointments and change them the day of, then don't allow me to cancel or reschedule after breaking their own policy. The customer service is just awful. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the bedside manner presented by Dr. Chacon all of the appointments I have attended. I let it pass the first time because sometimes we have times where we aren't 100%. But at this point... if I'm paying over $200 for an appointment something needs to be said. The first appointment my son was there as I had no other choice... he was being a 4 year old and playing with a chair in the corner, I was telling him to stop and for the most part he did but occasionally would play with it again making noises. This for whatever reason set off Dr. Chacon causing her to awkwardly pause and attempt to reprimand my son herself. You can tell in her face she was steaming up inside... The whole ordeal made my son feel uncomfortable to the point where he said afterward in the car "she is not a nice lady." I was there for concerns about my hair loss... it was said to be because of how I have my hair pulled back for work (I'm a cop and need my hair tied back for officer safety purposes). At first I asked if there's other styles or ways I can pin it back and she said no... understandable I guess because it needs to be off my shoulders and any style would have it being pulled back or upward. Instead of reassuring me the hair would grow back, get better or ANY sort of advice or positivity she kept repeating "cut your hair or quit your job." This phrase was said by Dr. Chacon MULTIPLE times through out the appointment and it was painfully awkward. Cut your hair or quit your job... like... what...? I signed up for a career to protect others and be in situations where I put myself in potential danger if it means to save someone's life. And I'm just being told "cut your hair or quit your job" and "do an administrative role (in the department)." I'm not asking to be coddled, but I would just expect a more from such an intelligent doctor. Instead I was just met with dismissiveness and rudeness. There's a million dermatologists in South Florida, so I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to stand out and/or go above and beyond in your service... Now as for the second appointment. Not any better... Dr. Chacon made eye contact with me once or twice the entire time. She was typing away on her laptop as I was speaking, trying to have conversation. I felt awkward. I was so excited to speak about my hair growth and progress, which she didn't even care to ask about or even look at it. I had to personally pull my own hair back and tell her to look like a kid begging for attention. I did mention I made a mistake and stopped taking one of the meds she gave me, which slowed the progress but still had progress and admitted my fault. Luckily I am moving out of Miami and I'll to find a new derm regardless. Claimed they were in network with my Aetna Student health plan. Then, they charged me $400 out of pocket and claimed I would receive "office credits". She tried to push isotretinoin without any proper testing to see if I was a good candidate for this medicine and she would not give me a hormone test (root cause of my acne). Also, during my appointment she had a male assistant in the room while I was not dressed to show my sunspots. I was not aware her male assistant would be entering the room. I specifically found a female dermatologist to avoid this, and I found it extremely disrespectful and uncomfortable. I still have not received the refund and they never charged my insurance. Dr. Chacon is the only person I trust to do my Botox/filler. She. Is an expert on placement and has a quick and steady hand. Also, I look amazing. She never leaves me looking fake or overdone. People always ask if I had been on vacation afterwards because they say I look "rested". That's exactly the effect I want. I met with this doctor online. She was late to the appointment (no explanation), dismissive, not sure about her diagnosis, and irresponsible (she said she will give me prescription and I'll receive a text message soon, but I didn't receive it after 24 hours despite of multiple text messages). During the 24 hours, my symptoms were getting worse and my face was swollen. I eventually saw another doctor and got my prescription immediately. She sent the prescription at the 26th hour after the appointment. At the time, I already got my prescription from the other doctor.Avoid, if you have any other options. I feel like I found a rare gem. Dr. Chacon's bedside manner is excellent. She does not talk down to the patient. She explains all aspects in detail. She is not rushed. She makes you feel she has all the time in the world for you. Unlike all other dermatologists I have seen in Miami, she does not try to sell you botox, fillers, etc. If you ask, she will speak to you about them in detail. I liked that she explained different options for the procedure and the possible outcomes and we decided together which course to take. Most importantly, I have been very happy with my results. I had an extremely difficult removal that needed to be done. It wasn't raised which would have been easier, it was deep. It was in a very prominent area - right in the middle of my forehead. Dr. Chacon did an excellent job. It is healing very nicely. I have waited to have it removed because I haven't trusted anyone enough up to now. I put my trust in Dr. Chacon and she performed very skillfully. I am very modest and I dislike disrobing in front of doctors. She has a male assistant and was very respectful of my concerns, having the assistant turn around when she had to move my gown over. She is very empathetic and really cares about her patients' comfort. She offered to adjust the thermostat for me, to make me more comfortable. She gave me an ice pack to take home with me. She was also really generous with product samples, which I greatly appreciated. I have very reactive skin and have spent a fortune on products that make my skin turn red and itchy. It was so nice to be able to try various products without the worry of trying something and having to absorb the cost if it didn't work out or dealing with the hassle of a return. One cream she gave me has been especially excellent. Convenience is important to me. I like that there has never been a wait. She sees you as soon as you arrive. Her office is located ground-level, through one door at the street and you're there. No elevators or complicated warren of offices to figure out. I've been to various Miami dermatologists over 30 years. I have almost always been self-pay because as a small business owner full coverage insurance is prohibitively expensive. This situation has given me an insight. It's always the same pattern: a long wait, the dr is rushed, the majority of the appointment is spent trying to sell me their skin care products, botox, fillers, etc.I'm charged an exorbitant amount because there isn't "contract pricing" with an insurance company even though it's less paperwork for them. I decided to give it another try and see Dr. Deborah Longwill a few years ago. The small waiting room was packed. After a long wait I was seen by her assistant. She spent the majority of the appointment trying to sell me various procedures and products. She was very rushed and unpleasant. Her skin tag removals left tissue behind so I had rough spots. Lots of dermatologists are having assistants perform procedures because it is a money-maker for them but my results convinced me that only a doctor should be doing so. It had been years since I had a skin cancer check and I needed some removals of skin tags and "age spots."I began researching and I found Dr. Anna Chacon. She has excellent credentials. Furthermore, I was very impressed with her transparency. The patient is able to see exactly how much the appointment will cost and how much procedures will cost.How refreshing! It seems the majority of dermatologists want to focus on cosmetic dermatology- lasers, botox, fillers, etc.as that's where the money is. Dr. Chacon is focused on health first. It isn't about the money. Very poor communication with her team that was the most frustrating thing to experience. I got my blood drawn monthly for 4-5 months and didn't get treatment. Last time I spoke to her was the last time my treatment would be "delayed" - it could have easily been fixed with a phone call but she refused to do so, and it felt personal at that point. Money, time, and blood from all those labs completely wasted. You get what you pay for I guess. Turns out I didn't need Accutane, an antibiotic did the trick. Why resort to such a dangerous drug without out trying simpler methods first? read more
