I'm more that happy with him and his staff starting by Elena at the reception, Evelyn who assisted him and the one who took the picture. friendly, professional, all I wanted it in my place. please do not hesitate. if you are looking for a natural look, refreshing Dr. Patel is the one.

WARNING TO THE PUBLIC: This doctor is *NOT* a dermatologist.**…read more He is a board-certified radiologist, not a dermatologist. His marketing creates the strong impression of Harvard-level dermatology or aesthetic training, but his actual background is in **abdominal radiology**, not dermatology or aesthetic medicine. This matters because many patients--including myself--trusted him based on those claims. I spent **over $7,000** under his care, and my skin ended up significantly worse** than when I started. My hyperpigmentation intensified dramatically. I brought clear photo evidence to every single visit showing things were getting worse, yet I was repeatedly told it was "getting better." Instead of addressing the worsening results, he kept adding new, expensive treatments and selling additional high-priced products. When I tried to speak with him urgently about the reaction, he repeatedly avoided phone calls and the office insisted I "just come in" rather than discussing the problem. He also charged me a **$100 late fee** for being 15 minutes late to one single appointment--out of six total visits--something I've never experienced with any legitimate dermatology practice. He also sells SkinCeuticals products at full retail price with no discounts**, even though nearly every reputable dermatology office and major online retailers offer 10-15% off. It felt like every opportunity to charge more was taken. I deeply regret going to this practice. Now I must seek help from a real, board-certified dermatologist** to reverse the damage--likely at substantial additional cost. Patients deserve honest and transparent representation of a doctor's credentials. "Aesthetic physician" is **not** a recognized medical specialty. Any MD with prescribing authority can use that title without ever completing a dermatology residency. **Again--this doctor is NOT a dermatologist. To clarify: ChatGPT does NOT verify medical credentials. It pulls from webpages and online descriptions, and his marketing heavily influences search results. I did not realize this when I originally searched for a dermatologist using ChatGPT. Credential verification must be done through the state board: FL Dept of Health Practitioner Profile: (You may need to copy/paste because Yelp removes active links) [https://mqa-internet.doh.state.fl.us/MQASearchServices/HealthCareProviders/PractitionerProfilePrintFriendly?LicInd=114984&ProCde=1501](https://mqa-internet.doh.state.fl.us/MQASearchServices/HealthCareProviders/PractitionerProfilePrintFriendly?LicInd=114984&ProCde=1501) In my experience, it was evident he was not a dermatologist because my concerns were dismissed, my worsening results were ignored, and I was left with damaged skin and a significant financial loss. I strongly urge others to research thoroughly before trusting their skin to any provider whose advertised qualifications do not match their official training.

There's no 'maybe' about it: I WAS born with it! Have you SEEN my magazine cover? Hel-lo!!…read morePractices like South Miami Dermatology helps me to keep it. Moving from the cold climes of Chicago to the bright sun of Miami, one of my first priorities was to find a stellar dermatologist. I'd been lucky to have had a truly amazing doctor back in the Windy City and he took care of everything from checking my skin for disease to making sure I stayed easy, breezy and beautiful to consulting me about life. I left his office with one small issue but I think the cure isn't worth the risk so i am going to soldier through for now. But, this is all preamble. i went from having to worry about dry, cracked skin conditions to burnt, cancerous, moley conditions. And, none of that would do. Since I didn't move to Miami with any doctors, I had to use Yelp in an old-school way: I needed to find a doctor. Luckily, a trusted Elite had written a review about Dr. G and being satisfied with her writing, skin and opinion, I followed suit. I'm very glad I did. First off, the office is in South Miami. This is a good thing. You know the ladies who lunch in South Miami and the Gables are not about to go around looking busted so derm practices in the area have to be on point. Secondly, Dr. G really is as nice, engaging, trustworthy, and skilled as reputed. Like I mentioned, I left a favored dermatologist in Chicago but I felt pretty instantly connected to Dr. G. She spoke of my skin history, asked all the right questions, brainstormed about the issues that concerned me most and -- greatest of all -- she listened with real empathy. For any doctor, this is HUGE and, unfortunately, some are missing this skill. Dr. G has it in spades. Her office is modern, relaxing and very cool. Her staff is efficient and pleasant and she has all sorts of cool machines that do incredible things. Four stars for now. She's pretty incredible but my Chicago doc cured/cleared something I was told could never go away and helped to give me my life back. That's a pretty high standard to meet (and I hope to never again have to have it met). Over time, though, I'm sure Dr. G's bedside manner, intelligence, grace, and intuition will bump this up to a five. I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone. However, if you extend my wait time... we'll have an issue. I may look 21 but I'm *really* 25. I _know_, right! Incredible!

She and PA Chloe assured me throughout the entire process that my face would heal. I am so thankful for this kind and skilled team. Would recommend them whole heartedly to all my family and friends. Thank you!

Another dermatologist had already confirmed they could remove it in-office, but I wanted to compare prices and this clinic was closer to home. Dr. Beatriz did ask before bringing two student nurses into the room, but I felt pressured to agree since they were already at the door and it was my first visit. The situation made me uncomfortable, especially being asked to undress for a full skin check I wasn't really expecting. They did ask if I wanted it done, but I have social anxiety and trouble expressing myself, so I just went along with it. Looking back, I can't help but feel that the skin check was mainly a way to justify charging the $50 copay, since no treatment or procedure was actually done for the cyst. Throughout the visit, I couldn't shake the feeling that my concern was more of a bother than something the doctor genuinely wanted to help with. After examining me, Dr. Gutierrez said she wouldn't perform the procedure and referred me to a plastic surgeon instead. When I asked for the billing codes she had mentioned earlier, she refused to provide them, which left me feeling frustrated and misled. One thing patients should know is that this office asks for full payment for procedures upfront rather than billing insurance first. You have to wait for your insurance to process and maybe refund you later. They were quick to collect the $50 copay just to tell me to find somewhere else -- even though they're already getting paid significantly more through my insurance just for that visit. It's frustrating to see how many doctors now pick and choose which procedures they want to take on, while still charging full visit fees. It creates a system where patients pay for consultations without ever receiving care, and it's making too many providers complacent. The health system in this country already feels confusing and discouraging, but this visit really highlighted how exhausting it can be for everyday, hardworking Americans who aren't wealthy Coral Gables residents just trying to get basic care. This office shines a light on that problem -- and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone seeking straightforward, in-office treatment.
