UPDATE: Thamara…read morecalled me on November 21st about the review I left. The call made no sense because she offered zero resolution. She opened by asking why I wrote the review... even though the entire reason is spelled out clearly in it. Then she denied ever telling me the package she sold me was unlimited. I asked if their calls were recorded; she said yes. So I told her to go listen to the call where she sold me the package -- January 8th, 2025 between 5-6 PM. She said she and her manager would review it and call me back. They never did. No apology. No explanation. No solution. They also refused to share the recording. I asked if I'd be able to hear it once they found it. She said no. At this point it's pretty clear: do not get tattoo removal here. They mislead people, they dodge accountability, and the machines look like they belong in a museum. Please learn from my experience and avoid getting scammed.

I chose to go to Avalon Medical Spa for laser hair removal based on the amazing reviews on Yelp. My…read morefirst few visits were great, and Julia was super sweet. However, she has seemingly vanished and I cannot reach anyone to schedule an appointment despite multiple phone calls, voicemails, and texts. I paid $1200 for 6 treatments of my underarms and bikini area, and started to have trouble scheduling appointments after my second visit. Now I have been unable to reach her for several months. It's unclear whether the business is still operating, as I never saw anyone other than Julia in the office, but I am fairly sure I will never be getting the remaining 2 treatments that I paid for.

We came to Miami for a little mini vacation. While laying out by the pool, I opened ones one of my…read morewife's gossip magazines and noticed how much younger some of "veteran" actors look. Imagine my shop when my never aging wife tells me that not only do THEY use Botox but she has been doing it for years and also get juvederm for lip injections. After fighting the shock and making a mental note to start checking the bank account on a regular basis, I was more curious then ever. Next thing you know, we're at a salon in downtown and were speaking to a doctor. I'm the type of husband that once the wife says to do it, I do it. So I signed some forms and got a couple needle pricks. The doc that did assured me that I would still look natural and not resemble the housewives of anything. So, couple days pass and I don't see any changes. Patience is not my virtue and I'm sure many can relate to the frustration of not having what you paid for, but to keep the Mrs. Happy, I keep my mouth shut and decided to just let it go. The next day, it kicked in and I couldn't move my forehead or make those lines around my eyes. It has now been almost 5 months since I had it done and I can still see the effect and I'm going to continue doing it. Heck, I might even try some laser hair removal one of these days. Even though I am happy with the outcome of the Botox, my review is to applaud Avalon Medical Spa on their customer service. About a week after the appointment, Julia called to follow up and see if I had any questions or concerns. And just yesterday I received another call. She said she knew I lived out of town and couldn't come in again, but offered to take some time to find a good doctor in my area and send him my treatment records to make sure i received the same results and thank me again for coming in. Anyway, owning my own company, I know that little things like that go a long way so I wanted to share my experience with the rest of Yelp.

Whatever Jeanette says/suggests I should do, is the treatment I go with. Her years of experience and expertise, and her honesty is something you don't find at other places. Maria and Stephanie are both great as well! You won't find injectables here (no Botox, or fillers here) and I absolutely love that!!!! At 59, I truly want to age as naturally and toxin-free as I can, while feeling confident in my own skin. Never did I feel that more than this past year as I prepared for my son's wedding with monthly visits to Skintique. Skin on wedding day was perfect!!!! THANK YOU, Skintique, for that!!! 3 months post-wedding, and just this past weekend while away on a mini-vacation, a random lady was complimenting my skin and glow. I'm definitely a Skintique-er for life!! Another thing I love about Skintique is the high-quality products available for sale for clients from lines like Emminence Organics, FarmHouse Fresh, and others. The entire staff, the relaxing ambiance, the treatments, the products, the results.....these are all reasons to be a Skintique client! You won't regret it!

From first talking to Bianca on the phone... to the initial part of my appointment with Raquel…read more.. to the appointment itself with Dr Calderon... everybody was genuinely welcoming. Having recently moved to Miami I have heard horror stories about injectors. I am very relieved Dr Calderon is not one of those stories. His aesthetic is natural and prefers to do a little at a time and for you to come back then he to do too much. In my experience this conservative, and calm, approach is a sign of a superb injector. Also, he explains EVERYTHING... from the science behind the product, to the anatomy of the injection site, to his injection technique... he will go into great detail and doesn't rush through the appointment. This is truly not common! My other concern with being injected in Miami was that my aesthetic is not the typical Miami one. Dr Calderon not only honors the patient's preferred aesthetic but his own aesthetic preferences reflect a conservative style. So if you are looking for a more NY/European look rather than a Miami one... speak to Dr Calderon!
