I chose to go to Avalon Medical Spa for laser hair removal based on the amazing reviews on Yelp. My first few visits were great, and Julia was super sweet. However, she has seemingly vanished and I cannot reach anyone to schedule an appointment despite multiple phone calls, voicemails, and texts. I paid $1200 for 6 treatments of my underarms and bikini area, and started to have trouble scheduling appointments after my second visit. Now I have been unable to reach her for several months. It's unclear whether the business is still operating, as I never saw anyone other than Julia in the office, but I am fairly sure I will never be getting the remaining 2 treatments that I paid for. read more

We came to Miami for a little mini vacation. While laying out by the pool, I opened ones one of my wife's gossip magazines and noticed how much younger some of "veteran" actors look. Imagine my shop when my never aging wife tells me that not only do THEY use Botox but she has been doing it for years and also get juvederm for lip injections. After fighting the shock and making a mental note to start checking the bank account on a regular basis, I was more curious then ever. Next thing you know, we're at a salon in downtown and were speaking to a doctor. I'm the type of husband that once the wife says to do it, I do it. So I signed some forms and got a couple needle pricks. The doc that did assured me that I would still look natural and not resemble the housewives of anything. So, couple days pass and I don't see any changes. Patience is not my virtue and I'm sure many can relate to the frustration of not having what you paid for, but to keep the Mrs. Happy, I keep my mouth shut and decided to just let it go. The next day, it kicked in and I couldn't move my forehead or make those lines around my eyes. It has now been almost 5 months since I had it done and I can still see the effect and I'm going to continue doing it. Heck, I might even try some laser hair removal one of these days. Even though I am happy with the outcome of the Botox, my review is to applaud Avalon Medical Spa on their customer service. About a week after the appointment, Julia called to follow up and see if I had any questions or concerns. And just yesterday I received another call. She said she knew I lived out of town and couldn't come in again, but offered to take some time to find a good doctor in my area and send him my treatment records to make sure i received the same results and thank me again for coming in. Anyway, owning my own company, I know that little things like that go a long way so I wanted to share my experience with the rest of Yelp. read more

I recently went to Miami with my wife after a month long vacation she was in need of a really good laser hair removal treatment and I needed to find a place for laser hair removal treatments that would work with our schedule. I chose Avalon based on its proximity to my room and my initial phone conversation with Julia. My wife has been through the treatments before, and she knew what to expect but still asked all the questions anyway. Julia is extremely polite & very knowledgeable and friendly. My wife said The laser felt very similar to her previous treatments and I noticed less hair. They had an event at offered great specials so my wife tried dermal fillers and botox for the first time. It looks natural which is exactly what she wanted. Having something to compare this spa to, I would say they deserve all the five stars, great customer service and treatment results.  This place is simply amazing my wife has the smoothest legs in San Diego thanks to Julia. P.s be sure to check in to get the discount read more

Went here for my first ever laser hair removal appointment and it went great! So fast, clean, professional and effective! Parking wasn't hard either. I anticipated to be in pain, but it was very tolerable. Kinda felt like a little bug bite with some warmth, but very very doable. After the treatment, my skin stayed a little red for a day, but they told me to expect that. Nothing major and it went away. Julia and Myra are both sweet. I am so happy I met them both. Julia personally followed up with me a couple days after. I am looking forward to my next appointment next month. read more

I came to Avalon Medical Spa for a touch up for quick laser hair removal a couple of months ago. I was so impressed with their customer service that I decided to also try them out for lip fillers since my other Doctor wasn't in Miami for the summer. My lips look so natural that no one could even guess that I've had them done! They had special where I also got a free photofacial. I never heard of it before and was a little scared getting laser treatments on my face. They did a little test spot first and it's pretty much a bright burst of light with a little zap. Honestly, laser hair removal hurts much more. I didn't see much improvement in my skin at first but hey, it was a freebie so I wasn't gonna complain. However, just this morning, when applying my make up I took a closer look at my skin and noticed such a difference. The size of my pores is much smaller, My skin isn't as oily as it used to be and the color of my skin has evened out. I am totally hooked now! read more

Went here a few months ago for a few Laser treatments. Julie was absolutely lovely! She talks to you as you two are old friends. Hope all is well with her! read more

I was traveling in Miami and, with too much bravado, didn't wear enough sunscreen. I was so burned to a crisp, that I decided to seek out a medical spa to see if I could get a "serious" remedy. I met Julia at the counter and she was very knowledgeable. Apparently, I'm not the only person in this situation. Anyway, I was able to get sunburn treatment that got me back to enjoying my vacation and not being in pain. I also learned about other treatments that I may consider in the future. Highly recommend! read more

No one likes to admit that their good looks aren't all that natural. At one point in time, I had to consider laser hair removal to attract the ladies at the beach. Avalon is definitely my number one pick. Their machines gave me great results quick. It's a little zappy but nothing I can't handle. The staff are amazing, friendly and very accommodating with scheduling even though they're getting more and more booked up. read more

Miami is a city where appearances matter and I guess as I get older, I have noticed hair in places I have never seen before.  I would have never considered laser hair removal if it wasn't for my wife. She gets her botox here and made the appointment for me to come in. Julia is very friendly and knowledgable in the treatments so I decided to get everything done the same day. The procedure hurt a little and my skin was red when I was done and I noticed much less hair a couple days later. Appointments are easy to schedule and Julia follows up after the treatment too. If I could give the place 10 stars I would. read more

So I was in the Miami area and my friends convinced me to try botox...for the first time. You can imagine how nervous I was, but my friend told me about a place where she gets all her laser hair removal done, as well as her botox. When I arrived I immediately felt at ease, as the staff was so professional & knowledgeable. They went over all the details, it wasn't nearly as scary as I thought. Best part is, I left with beautiful skin! A week later, my face looks better than it ever has! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I am counting down the days I go back to Miami to visit the Avalon staff and get my botox fix!! read more

I was in Miami over the holidays visiting my wife's family for the first time. As you can imagine I wanted to look my best for the occasion, but I was unable to schedule a Botox appointment at my usual med-spa in Beverly Hills before leaving. Upon landing in Miami we called a few places and Avalon were not only able to fit me in at almost no notice, but their Botox pricing was extremely reasonable, quite a lot lower than I usually pay :-) The facility itself was clean and comfortable, nicely furnished but not ostentatious. I was seen by Yulia, and she was absolutely wonderful! I was a little nervous going to an unfamiliar place on short notice, but she put me immediately at ease with her calm but confident manner. She performed the procedure flawlessly, and painlessly, while carrying on a conversation with my wife and I about our trip, etc. I was, and am, extremely happy about the procedure, and the results, and cannot recommend them more highly. read more

Julia is the reason I come here! She has made me feel so comfortable during this process! The results are amazing and the pricing is great! I highly recommend trying the laser services offered here! I have completed my package and return for touch ups! Totally worth it :) thank you for being more than a technician! read more

What can I possibly say about Avalon other than this is the go to place for laser hair removal and Botox. Julia is fantastic and takes such good care of her clients with such a level of care and professionalism. She is truly passionate about her work and the results speak for themselves The new office is beautiful, easy to find and parking is a breeze, Not a wrinkle on my face and I am super grateful!!!! read more

The best place for laser hair removal in Miami. Their treatments are super effective. I finished with the series a couple of months ago and my hair never grew back. I still do have to shave, some of the hair that was left behind looks like a little peach fuzz. So I shave only a couple times a month. Such a difference. Everyone that works here is absolutely the nicest people I have ever met. I will always come back and recommend to all of my friends. read more

In the last couple of years, I started to drastically change my life - I stopped eating meat, I started doing yoga, meditating, going to spiritual retreats - basically I'm slowly on my way to becoming a peaceful earth loving hippy. A true hippie does shave - but I was no where close to wanting to have hair anywhere on my body. After doing much research, I settled on laser hair removal. After all what's not natural about light energy. I chose Avalon in Miami based on their level of knowledge and customer service over the phone and during the consultation. So far everything is great. The laser tickles me to no end and I'm seeing much less hair on my underarms and bikini. I also have to admit that when I came in, the doctor was doing Botox, and he was just so cute! If only I was down to get lip injections or something I would so schedule an appointment in a heartbeat. read more

Looked up this place on Yelp on my recent visit to Miami and signed my GF up for some laser hair removal. Julia was very attentive and went over all of the details. The results were great. The GF is happy and I am even happier. Highly recommend this place, especially for the first-timers who never had hair laser removal procedure done before. read more

My career requires me to look good and be picture perfect ready in a heartbeat. A lot of times, my photoshoots are scheduled last minute and I have to be in a bath suit. So instead of rushing through the shaving process, I decided to give laser hair removal a go. Avalon was able to give me a whole body package with touch ups and so far I am getting amazing results and couldn't be happier. I guess Miami can be known for its snooty attitude but everyone at Avalon Medical Spa is down to earth and very accommodating. I would recommend for everyone to give a try. read more

I have been waxing since I was a teenager and the pain of laser hair removal completely scared me off from ever considering it. Eventually, I got tired of throwing away money every month on waxing and decided to bite the bullet and give the laser thing a try. I explained to Julia my concerns and we decided to try a test spot to determine my pain tolerance. Not to say that I feel like Im superwoman, but the procedure is pretty tolerable and Im loving the results. Julia is super friendly and always follows up with me after the treatment to make sure I'm doing ok. No more waxing for me. read more

Julia is AWESOME! Her place is in a fantastic location and is a clean, relaxing environment for any procedure that you wish to have done. Julia is a very caring person that makes each visit extremely relaxing and will follow up with you afterwards. She is flexible with her scheduling to make it as easy as possible for you to meet at any times that work for you. I have seen her for laser treatments and am so happy with the results! I came to Avalon Medical Spa while vacationing in Miami based on a friends recommendation for Botox. They are located in a full service salon which was a life saver as my hair desperately needed some TLC for the night out. I got my lips done for the very first time. I was nervous to have swelling and bruising but Yamiley's touch was so gentle that I barely felt a thing. I absolutely love how my lips look! She enhanced my natural shape and gave me the perfect sexy pout. I can't stop starring at them and taking pictures. Both Julia and Yamiley are very sweet, professional and I couldn't wish for better results. Thanks a million! read more

I have been a client of Avalon Medical Spa for years and so happy they opened in Miami! I initially came in for botox and fillers. I always rely on Dr. Lees expertise to leave me looking younger and refreshed without being pressured to do anything more then I need. I also recently inquired about laser hair removal. I was a little freaked out at first but they did a little test spot and I barely felt a thing and will update on the progress as I go along. Overall, a really great experience and I am a customer for life. read more

My girlfriend lives in Miami part time and has been obsessing over lip fillers ever since I've known her. Since my work schedule didn't allow us to spend a lot of time together this month, I wanted to do something nice for her. The many hints didn't go unnoticed. After calling around many medical spas, I felt like I was searching for a needle in the haystack and somehow became the expert on Botox and Juvederm. Two terms very unfamiliar to me even a week ago. Talked to Julia on the phone, who explained everything to a T. They even sent me a video of her getting it done so I can have proof of my my well doing next time I'm in trouble. Great customer service and most importantly, I have a very natural looking girlfriend who is as happy as a clam. read more

I finally decided to get laser hair removal. I went for a couple consultations all over Miami looking for a perfect medical spa. Once I talked to Julia, my mind was made up almost instantly. She knew her stuff. I am half way done with my treatments and I almost forget shaving in the shower. My hair grows in so much slower and some spots have no hair at all. I'm defiantly hooked. I will eventually get Botox and juvederm as well and will never consider going anywhere else. read more

I had laser hair removal done years ago at another medical spa in Miami and loved the results! My hair was pretty much gone and I forgot what a hassle it was to shave. I recently had a baby and oh boy did my hair grow back. My old place is now too far of a drive so I came in to Avalon Medical Spa for a consultation. Julia explained to me that hormones during pregnancy can actually make the hair grow and it's perfectly normal. They have the exact same laser as I was used to and now with a couple sessions behind me, I am seeing better and faster results. I also tried Botox for the first time in my life and oh my I am what a difference it makes, so worth it! Overall, appointments are easy to make and customer service is the best. I'm super happy!! read more

I had a great experience at Avalon Medical Spa!! I started with a laser hair removal package and the results were amazing. I have always wanted to get my lips done but was scared after seeing people with unnatural results. Well I went ahead and did it and I LOVE the results!! They are so natural looking and I finally have the full lips I've always wanted. Julia is so sweet and informative. I highly recommend Avalon. read more

I've never met an esthetician as great as Julia. From her customer service skills to her knowledge on skin care, you really can't find any better. Moving from Boston to Miami has put my skin through a lot of stress and you know finding someone to trust with your skin is not easy. At my first appointment I waited a little longer then expected and she was so apologetic and even took care of my next session. Julia even wrote me a thank you note which I thought was so sweet. Till this day she still checks up on how I'm doing in between my visits. If you give Avalon a try definitely request her, you won't regret it! :) read more

Julia is excellent and is just a lovable person to be around. The clinic always has a beautiful smell. The employees are always smiling, great customer service. My laser hair removal treatments hurt a little more then my previous sessions, but Im actually seeing results this time around! So couldn't be happier with that. The price was a little higher then what I paid before, but its totally worth the investment. read more

I couldn't be happier with the services of Avalon Medical Spa. Julia was great! . Very professional and knowledgeable. No gimmicks, unlike most other people, which was refreshing. I read the Yelp reviews and decided on my short stop in Miami, I would schedule an IPL treatment. I live in Honduras 90% of the time and was very nervous about going to a new place. Julia was super delightful and explained everything. In addition to the IPL, she did a skin tightening on my face and showed me the effects after doing half my face. Amazing. Although the treatment only lasts about 4 weeks. If I lived in Miami, I would go to Julia every month. It's been over a week since my IPL and I'm very happy with results! Will see her again in October! read more

Avalon Medical Spa - I have dark spots from past chemical peels and acne scars. I went in for a IPL and instantly I saw a difference! - Medical Spas Near Me - Miami, Florida

I am a part time miami resident and spend a lot time at my parents and am family house. I usually get all my treatment in Los Angeles but I have walked by Avalon Medical Spa a couple of times and finally decided to give it a try. I gathered up three of my girlfriends - mostly for emotional support, to attend one of their Botox and Juvederm events. I've had Botox before but it's been a while and I forgot what a difference it makes. Absolutely LOVE it. They numbed the skin before doing the injection so I barely felt a thing. I noticed it kick in a couple days later. They had a special for bikini and underarm laser hair removal so I signed up as well. So far, I've only had one treatment and I noticed some hair didn't grow up and a lot less ingrowns. Will update the review when I'm done with the 6. It will be a long process since I travel to miami every other months to check on my elderly parents. read more

Recently got an email with a promotion for laser hair removal. Was always hesitant about getting it done before since I have dark skin, but called to inquire anyway. Julia told me that their laser is perfectly safe and invited me to come in for a test spot to ease my anxiety. I won't lie, it did hurt a little, but about a week later, the hair was gone. So armed with an ibuprofen I dragged myself in for their first morning appointment. 20 minutes later, all done and it wasn't as painful as I imagined to be, just a couple small areas were more jumpy then the rest. Personally, i think waxing hurts a lot more. I only had one done so far, but almost half my hair is gone. I so wish I did this sooner!!! read more

I have always been proud of my skin but something started to change and I started experiencing more and more acne break outs. Not knowing what would be the best treatment I went through a couple different consultations before settling on Avalon Medical Spa. I am not sure what they call this acne treatment but oh my it worked. First, they applied a chemical peel to my skin and then went over it with a laser. Ive had laser hair removal before somewhere else and I guess this laser felt pretty similar. I knew there was going to be some downtime but I guess I got a little scared when my skin started to really really peel. The nurse that did the treatment actually gave me her cell so I texted her a picture. She replied pretty quickly and totally reassured me that its fine. Well its about 2 - 3 weeks since my treatment and my skin has actually cleared up, improved in texture and I think I have less sun damage. Great service and everyone is super friendly!!! read more
