The sauce is rich, perfectly spiced, and honestly just off the charts. It's amazing to scoop up with their naan, which is soft, fresh, and seriously delicious. You could easily get this just for yourself and have leftovers for later, or bring someone along and share. The portion size is really generous and the price is very fair for what you get. This is hands down the best lamb karahi I've had. I used to go to Ravi Kabob House for karahi, but now Kabob and Karahi is definitely my new go-to spot. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and service is quick. My wife and daughter ordered the lamb and chicken kabobs and were both super happy with their meals too. Everything we tried was tasty and affordable. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has plenty of seating, which makes it a great place to dine in. Definitely worth coming back to try more dishes!

This was always one of those places my friends and I would come back to whenever people were back in town visiting after college. The food still hits exactly how I remembered. The goat karahi extra spicy was packed with flavor, rich, saucy, and perfect with fresh garlic naan. The kabobs were juicy, the portions were generous, and the mango lassi balanced everything out perfectly. If you're looking for authentic Pakistani comfort food in the DMV, Kabob N Kahari is easily one of the local staples worth checking out.

Kabob n Karahi uses authentic spices, and what you get is like the difference between chef boyardee and actually going to Italy. This is a very local chain, and the restaurant honestly feels a bit like a high school cafeteria. It's probably not the place to go for a date night. :) This is why I have gotten take out 47191 times and eaten there once. The food is amazing, and going in does have the benefit that they'll often have specials not in the menu. I'm currently polishing off a lamb kabob, and I actually found a black cardamom pod in it. That's such a different flavour than you'll get most places (and despite the name, it's not cardomom). It's rich in sumac and just YUM. Stop in and grab dinner in the way home, for something flavourful, unique, authentic and just plain different.

The whole meal was packed with flavor and I enjoyed it. I do wish the portion of the meat was slightly more and I really want something spicy but thats not really an option. It's not too far off the highway, so it was easy to get to. The inside was really dingey and rundown (but don't let this bother you, you're there for the food!) and there was a laminated menu on the counter to look at... The couple that runs it was there and the guy was friendly and helpful. I was in the mood for karahi, but I was by myself and typically restaurants make this for two people, so he suggested I get chicken curry. It took about 10 mins to make. First thing I did was taste the broth (the curry sauce) and it was spot on - AMAZING!!! Then I ripped into the naan and took to ripping chicken of the bone and enjoying... I scarfed that dish down in no time, and there was quite a bit there! The basmati that came with it was very tasty! And he brought me a ramakin of yogurt chutney (this is how chutney is supposed to be!) - it was fresh and soothed the spice of the dish. Regarding the spice level, he asked how I wanted it and I told him I was Pakistani to make it for me the same way he'd eat it and they got is right! Naan was excellent! Perfectly cooked, but the dough was great! Nice texture and flavor to it! Overall - I enjoyed my lunch and would come back! Definitely a place that sells all the typical kabobs, but don't sleep on their curries!!

Our server was also kind and helpful! The food was were I was left a bit disappointed. I ordered a lamb biryani and was so excited to try it, but it was pretty bland and the meat was dry and not juicy at all. The only way I could eat it was if it was covered in one of the gravies they offer. I tried one of the gravies that my friend ordered and that tasted better for sure. The naan's were also huge and arrived hanging on a wooden board so that was definitely unique and special. The naan was the highlight of my experience here. Overall, I would not recommend the biryani but the lamb gravies seem to be more flavorful with the naan.

The falafels were strange but okay, I suppose. I spent 50 before tip and I wish I had just dined in OR went for buffet vs a la carte. It was good but not amazing. I asked for extra silverware and napkins and that seemed confusing; the meal leaked on the walk home.
