Came in for a late lunch after our wonderful massage in the same strip center. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very quiet, nice ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good service, clean. Ordered wonton soup and drunken shrimp noodles. Chicken wings and sweet tea. Honestly for the price I didn't feel it was worth it I received 5 shrimps with my noodles. Everything seemed sweet. The chicken wings were not juicy at all and the chili sauce was sweet. Too much hype. I would not be coming back here but what I don't like other people might. JMHO

Does not look like two orders of chicken wings

I'm highly disappointed with Kha Thai. As my family raved about the service and food here on 6/30. All of a sudden, I wanted to try the hype and see if it'll be the hot spot for future visits. My mom and sister loved their meals, as my mom ordered the wings with chicken fried rice and my sister tofu curry. That night when they brought it home, I had the opportunity to taste it and fell in love. I wanted more of Kha Thai, so we waited until Monday 7/1; (since they are closed on Sunday) to order again. And I have to say, this place has inconsistent cooks for various days. The consistency from 6/30 to 7/1 is a huge miss. I can't wrap my head around it or comprehend what happened. I ordered the chicken cashew with a chili jam, my sister ordered red tofu curry and my mom the same order as 6/30, but this time it looked and tasted differently. The chicken cashew with chili jam and veggies was served with old chicken bites, you can tell by how chewy, tough, and dry it is. The bites were not covered in the chili jam at all. The jam was watery and not thick how jam is supposed to be. The vegetables: broccoli, carrots and onions, were raw and not cooked down. The cashews were also raw and placed on top of the chicken. So, now I'm being served old and raw food. My sister mentioned, that her red tofu curry was missing the main tofu components. Now, how do you mess up on a dish that includes one thing and it doesn't?! And for the finale, my mom's meal; the chicken fried rice and chicken wings, it didn't contain the original shredded chicken mentioned on the menu, but came with the same old, stale, dry chicken bites that my order had. She also, didn't get the wing sauce she received the first time around. The rice was old and not freshly made. There were specks of black and brown residue in it. It tasted gummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant has a lot of potential to be exceptional and great. As all the work put into the interior proves it. It's gorgeous inside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Money lost, food wasted, for what? A cook that can't provide consistent quality food. Such a shame, bring back the same cook on 6/30, as the food was delicious. I'm not sure what happened today 7/1: if they ran out of food or the chef didn't show up. All I do know is, I won't order again. Until this is addressed.

First and foremost I have to say this is one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to in a very long time. The manager Nari is really nice and they're doing a great job here. I almost believe the reviews here with a low ratings are fake or maybe they're from competitors because the reviews do not represent the experience we had. We had a great experience, with great customer service, and absolutely exceptional great food. I will definitely be back here soon. This is a Hidden gem in the southside of Texas. Food: We started off with fried calamari and it was really good. Very flavorful and made fresh. I had a cashew nut chicken which was exceptionally great. Full of flavor, very tasty, and fresh! The fried rice was really good as well. I'm not even big on vegetables but all the vegetables that were mixed in with the Thai cashew chicken were exceptional. My girlfriend got the pad Thai beef which was just as good as well. The beef was season to perfection, the noodles were full of flavor, I'm telling you right now this is a very great restaurant and if you're in the area I suggest you stop in. Last we got a nice dessert from Nari which was absolutely amazing. We got the fried bananas, with ice cream, sticky rice and mango. It was all exceptional and made the order. We will definitely be back here soon. Nari is a great manager you can tell she really cares about her clients and the food that her and the cooks are presenting every single day. I'm chilling right now the bad reviews are not a representation of this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

Disclaimer: Since me and my partner were the only ones in the restaurant at around 7pm, it may be a different experience for others. Customer service was excellent and our waiter did wore a face mask. The food though, it was excellent! I liked everything we ordered but wasn't big on the thai tea. The Thai tea was a bit milky and I should have asked for less ice. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and packed alot of flavors. I didn't think there would also be other seafood in it besides shrimp. They did a good job on the pad thai: not too dry or soggy. The noodles were just right. For the curry, I got it at spicy level and dang it was not playing. The broth was super tasty. The dessert is a definite yes if you got room for it. I finished that so quick. The price was reasonable because you get the best . I'll go here again during lunchtime.

Food were not bad, but pad Thai was very salty and fry rice was blend... [[HIGHLIGHT]]interior design was petty and mood was very good for date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Located across the street from Hong Kong market. Service was ok since you can tell they were training a new team member. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the place is a decent size, they have a bar area where you can drink and hangout. Tables are nicely spaced out so you don't feel overcrowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious. Every dish we had was on point. Portions are smaller than normal but more than enough. No leftovers to take home. Pad See Ew Beef - flavor was on point and beef was yummy. Tender and perfect seasoning. Pad Thai - it was yummy, might have too much sauce for our liking but we can adjust that next time. It was still delicious. Tom Yum Shrimp - one of the best we've had. It was literally perfect seasoning, shrimp wasn't overcook, little cut tomatoes and slice mushrooms. Yummy! We will for sure be coming back again.

I debated on reviewing this place because it is truly a hidden gem, but I don't gate-keep. It is total vibes. Spicy Thai food, a huge variety of options, vegan, happy hour, craft cocktails, the lighting, the music. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It really hit all the sweet spots for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My server Dave was very attentive, knew the menu well, and offered suggestions when I got stumped, but was humble enough to ask the owner about certain things. (We like that) [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I search Yelp reviews I always check to see if a restaurant is kid friendly. While the food and decor is upscale, I'd say it's overall kid friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went on a weekday at lunch and there was a well behaved 7ish old kid there. I wouldn't bring my wild toddler on a weekend dinner rush though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to back for date night. If you like Merlion, this place is for you! I wish I had taken more pictures, but was too busy enjoying myself.

I was craving pad Thai and this place satisfied with a reasonably priced chicken pad Thai, meat was tender noodles were flavorful and presented nicely. The Thai tea however was lacking flavor. Still good enough to drink! Finally the mango sticky rice was very good, great texture and flavor combination! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall I will return, staff was friendly and ambiance was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I just finished my light lunch here for the first time. Love it ! Super awesome waiter named Dave. Every server should aspire to be this helpful! The food was fresh and prepared really well. The restaurant is clean and uncluttered. Love it! The bathroom was very clean as well. I highly recommend this place and wish I lived near so that I could come back more often. Well done!

After running errands, we stopped in for a very late lunch so it wasn't busy. We ordered fried silken tofu, seafood tom yum soup, yum gai, chicken ka pow and yogurt sunrise drink. Portion was worth the price. Food, drink and service were good. Wished they were located near us.

Thai tea and green tea - so yummy!

Kha Thai is our favorite Thai spot...ordered 1x a week and the food is always delicious. The Thai fried rice, curry, stir fried Thai Basil, desserts and drinks are all so so noteworthy. They also appreciate their customers...since I'm a regular they took the time to hand write us a note to thank us!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Absolutely gorgeous plates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unique dishes that perk up the palate. Order the jumbo shrimp with tamarind sauce. Have you seen shrimp that are over two inches long friend with a light tempura like batter? Juicy succulent , crispy and oh so good with the tangy sauce. The papaya salad was fresh and tasty and the friend clam came with spicy sauces to dip.

The food was really good. Happy hour all day Saturday!!! It's a small restaurant in a pretty dark shopping center but you can see the restaurant from their purple lights. They have a good selection of Thai dishes... we got crab poppers and chive cakes as the appetizer. So good! We also got the pinky promise cocktail which was tasty and hit pretty good! I got the tiger cry and my only suggestion is that they should ask the doneness preferred. It came out more on the rarer side but was still good nonetheless. Will return

We had to order take out on a Friday night because it was 10 mins before closing (9pm on Fridays) and they processed the order incredibly fast. All tables were full when we picked up so I'm sure busy nights will be a bit of a wait to get in. We asked for "medium" spice but the receipt had been defaulted to "mild" thank god. It was still a decent amount of spice and any more I would have probably been sweating like crazy. So I would recommend starting off with mild and go from there unless you are a glutton for punishing spice. Their mild seems to be more like medium / hot at an Americanized Thai joint. Pad Kee Mow with chopped chicken was delicious. Fresh crunchy green beans and bell peppers, onions and tomatoes perfectly cooked with the perfect spicy basil sauce. Noodles all had sauce on them. Large serving size and great price. We also got papaya salad which was just right and nice spice. I wish I could come here often and try everything else on the menu.

Khao soi gai: 7/10 This was so flavorful and delicious but definitely should have opted for the chicken instead of the soft shell crab I wasn't really a fan of the crab. Love the flavors and textures though. Definitely want to try with chicken and I recommend getting some rice on the side. Pad mama: 9/10 This had a really yummy vibrant flavor with a good amount of protein and leafy greens. Could be spicier I think the just gave us a random spice level. Overall really yummy and good portion for the prices but would love to retry with more spice in the dishes.

For drinks, I got the Mekhong Mojito and it was sweet and refreshing! For appetizers, we got the crispy squid and the crispy wonton- crispy squid was good but if you had to choose between the two, get the crispy wonton! As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! As for my friend's spicy red snapper, I tried a bite and the spices/texture in the dish complimented the fish very well. For dessert, we ordered the classic Mango Sticky Rice! The mango was soft/sweet, the rice and sauce had that salty coconutty flavor. They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!

It could easily reach that level. Our waitress, Ann, was incredibly kind, soft spoken, and welcoming. My friend Sherita suggested this restaurant after we left a Yelp office hour, and I'm so glad she did because it introduced me to something I never knew I needed: the salmon mango fried rice. It was absolutely amazing. I originally planned to take some home for my son to try, but it was so delicious that I finished every bite in one sitting. Sherita had visited earlier in the week and tonight shared that she arrived; right before I walked in which was 30 minutes before closing time, Jackie told her to hurry up and order, even though she already knew exactly what she wanted and didn't even need a menu. Jackie response was unprofessional and didn't even wait till the table guest got to the table, which was less than seconds since we all arrive at the same time, and left the same place. During our visit, Jackie never brought us water. A couple who was seated after us received water before we did. It took over 10 minutes for us to get water. Ann took great care of us, but anytime we wanted a refill, we had to ask. At one point my glass was completely empty. I noticed Jackie refilling the water glasses for a table of six, so I managed to get his attention. He looked directly at me, scanned the room, then stomped away all fast without acknowledging my request. Instead, he told Ann that we wanted water, and she graciously brought it over. Even at the end of our meal, Jackie stood behind the register while my friends waited to pay, yet another employee ended up taking their payment. His overall energy felt very cold and unwelcoming. My friend even joked that it was probably for the best that he didn't refill my water because of the energy he was carrying. As someone who believes water absorbs energy, I honestly agreed. I'm grateful Ann was the one who served us with such kindness. The restaurant itself has such a peaceful, zen atmosphere. The greenery outside and the warm lighting inside create a cozy neighborhood spot that I truly want to love and revisit with my son. Thank you , Sherita for introducing me and Aaliyah to this hidden gem. I completely understand why you visited twice in one week. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, and hopefully next time the hospitality matches the quality of the food.
