Our project was extensive--he handled moving utilities, prepping for cabinets and countertops, installing appliances and new lighting, relocating a large kitchen window, drywall, and installing brand new engineered hardwood flooring. He also retiled our fireplace, built a new mudroom, and relocated our laundry room with new machine installs. Every aspect of his work was top-notch. I work with vendors and contractors all the time in my profession, and Servando was by far one of the easiest and most professional people I've worked with. He communicated clearly and effectively throughout the entire project, was always on time, and kept the worksite extremely clean and organized. One thing I especially appreciated was that if I gave him information or directions that didn't seem quite right, he wouldn't just blindly move forward--he would ask thoughtful questions to make sure we were making the best decision possible. That level of communication and attention to detail made a huge difference and really helped ensure the project came out perfectly. Another thing that stood out was how honest and straightforward he was with pricing. There were no surprise change orders, no ballooning costs, and no unexpected price increases that we weren't aware of ahead of time. If something was going to cost more, he clearly communicated it upfront and explained why. It was incredibly refreshing to work with someone who made us feel like he genuinely cared about the project instead of trying to take advantage of it financially. Any time we had questions or minor concerns, he stayed calm, listened, and worked with us to come up with the best solution. His pricing was extremely fair, especially considering the quality of work. In fact, the only regret I have is not awarding him the cabinets and countertops portion of the job. It took about a month for the materials to arrive, and then a day to install. They also helped install a very large barn door for an additional cost. I had reached out to a number of local "handymen" who either never got back to me, or declined entirely. You can imagine how happy I was when Interior Finishes said they could do it the same day as the cabinets. I'm absolutely THRILLED with the final result! It completely elevated the space, and it's made that area much more functional. It feels like something out of an interior design magazine. Joe doesn't keep good notes on discussions with his clients regarding what's needed. I advised him to keep electronic notes, which he declined. He's Old School. 2. When adversity strikes, Joe has a bit of a problem taking responsibility. 3. Joe takes the word of his sub contractors over the observations of his clients. 4. Joe seems to want to charge $150.00 for any issues which involve having his sub contractors return to finish a job that should have been completed. All in all, we're satisfied, but like most contractors, be prepared to fight for a job well done.

As promised, he gave me a more exact estimate with an itemized explanation on the day after the meeting. His quote was reasonable and quite competitive. There were a couple of rainy and snowy days during the project. Cris' crew had to take a couple more trips to the site, as the joint compound on the interior drywall and the surface of the exterior siding were not dry enough for additional work with the joint compound and/or painting. They wanted to ensure a good quality of the work result, but Cris did not raise the price for their having to take additional trips to the site. Cris managed the project, and most of the time it was Margarito who led the team on-site. Margarito was strong and efficient. He could handle heavy and bulky items by himself that usually might require two people. It was amazing to see how much progress he and his team could make in a day. The existing metal siding of this house was no longer available on the market. Margarito thoughtfully went with me to Home Depot to pick a material with a proper texture on the surface, then carefully cut it into stripes, and precisely stacked them on the wall, so that the new siding ended up matching the old siding extremely well, including its color and texture. (See attached photo.) Margarito always paid attention to details. For example, he would carefully and skillfully apply the joint compound so smoothly on the drywall that you could hardly see the tape, holes, bumps, and other defects. They also cleaned the site before they left every day. It was appreciated that Cris was always accessible and responsive when needed. He told me his team could take care of different types of projects, big or small. I am happy with their work result and will be glad to consider CM Remodelling for any future project.

Gabe's handyman was not the first to respond but offered a price I was pleased with, a time frame I was pleased with and came with being Yelp Certified. I Yelped and by 10am the next morning, Gabe was here ready to do the work. I needed two small lights replaced and two ceiling fans replaced. Three hours later, all was done and very pleased with the service and quality of the work. I will be using Gabe again and do recommend him.
